Chapter 77 Come and have a fight

Wes didn't expect that Imhotep would run away like this. He was indeed a high priest from three thousand years ago and was well versed in the essence of combat.

But he didn't care at all, because he knew clearly that based on his understanding of the key plot, he could guess what Imhotep would do next.

[As long as you find the Americans, you can find Imhotep. ]

At this moment, a sudden scream pointed Weiss in the direction.

The miserable screams came from somewhere in the underground palace. They sounded so desperate, as if telling of some unbearable torture.

The sound reflected back and forth between the walls of the underground palace and echoed throughout the corridors of the underground palace. Weiss quickly moved towards the direction where the sound came from.

When Wes followed the sound and found Imhotep, he saw several dried corpses lying around him.

All the vitality had been sucked out of these corpses, leaving only shriveled skin.

Flesh and blood grew on Imorton's original skeleton, his body began to become plump, his skin was covered with a light blue layer, and the new skin was gradually recovering.

After seeing Wes, Imhotep chanted a spell, and suddenly countless scarabs crawled out frantically from all over the underground palace and rushed towards Wes like a tide.

The dense swarm of scarabs made people's scalps tingle. When the scarabs were about one meter away from Wes, they all stopped and turned around to attack Imhotep.

Looking at the scarabs rushing towards him, Imhotep stared at Wes in disbelief with his empty eyes. He had thought that these scarabs would be his loyal servants, and he didn't even understand why these scarabs would suddenly betray him.

[The spell in the Golden Scripture of the Sun is really useful. It easily took away the control of the scarab.]

There was a hint of ease and complacency in Wes's tone, which was announcing to Imhotep that his understanding of the mysterious power of ancient Egypt was far from enough.

Imhotep opened his mouth, and his lower jaw was pulled down exaggeratedly, as if his entire chin was about to fall off his face and hang down to his chest. The weird look was frightening.

Countless locusts flew out of his mouth. These locusts were like a black torrent, gushing out from Imhotep's open mouth and quickly filling the entire space.

The two groups of insects collided with each other in an instant and started a fierce fight.

The scarabs used their powerful jaws to tear at the locusts' bodies, while the locusts fought back with their sharp claws and teeth. Countless insect carcasses fell from the walls of the underground palace, forming a thick layer. The air was filled with a nauseating odor, a mixture of insect fluids and the breath of death.

Weiss waved his wand and chanted a spell: "Grow bigger quickly!" As the spell fell, dozens of scarabs in the front instantly expanded to the size of cars. The shells of these giant scarabs shone with a metallic luster and flashed a cold light under the dim light.

Under the leadership of these giant scarabs, the originally evenly matched battle situation quickly reversed.

The giant scarabs charged forward like armored vehicles, tearing the locusts apart with their massive jaws and swallowing them whole. The rest of the scarabs followed closely behind, forming a tight circle that surrounded the locust swarm.

Led by these giant scarabs, the locusts were quickly devoured by the scarabs.

Scarabs crawled all over Imhotep's body, but he did not look panicked. Instead, he looked at Wes with a playful look, as if provoking this powerful opponent.

The scarabs immediately turned into wisps of black smoke and quickly drilled into Imhotep's nostrils. Attracted by some invisible force, they rushed into his body.

A look of satisfaction appeared on Imorton's face, as if he had swallowed something very nutritious. His body seemed to become fuller at this moment, and his strength was quietly increasing.

Weiss watched this scene and realized that Imhotep could draw energy from these scarabs. He immediately controlled the other scarabs to stop.

"Fire Curse!" Weiss chanted the spell loudly, and a blazing black flame gushed out from the tip of his wand. The powerful flame seemed to come from the wrath of hell, carrying the power to destroy everything.

The flames were like a violent black dragon, winding towards Imhotep, and the air was filled with a burning breath.

The nearby rocks were affected and melted instantly, turning into a pool of hot magma.

Wherever the flames passed, everything was burned to ashes, leaving behind a scorched earth.

Imhotep faced this sudden onslaught of fire, a flicker of surprise on his face. He dodged quickly, but the residual heat of the flames still caused him a burning sensation. The flames raged around him, turning part of the underground palace into a sea of fire.

Imhotep's expression became serious, he felt the threat brought by this powerful force.

He rolled up the yellow sand to try to stop the black flames. However, the yellow sand was so fragile in front of the flames that it burned up in less than three seconds, turning into wisps of ashes that drifted away in the wind.

Under Wes's control, the fierce fire was divided into raindrops, like a downpour, covering Imhotep.

Black mist spewed out of Imhotep's mouth, and the black mist quickly spread to form a huge umbrella to block Wes's deadly rain of fire.

However, under the erosion of the fierce fire, the black fog dissipated quickly and was unable to withstand this destructive force for long.

Black 'raindrops' fell on the ground, burning small holes in the ground, just like magma, emitting a hot breath.

“There are so many obstacles!”*3
Weiss cast spells continuously, forming invisible walls.

Under the influence of the spell, Imhotep's movements became slow, as if he was stuck in a quagmire, and every movement became extremely difficult.

Wes pointed his wand at Imhotep: "Avada, eat the big melon." A green light hit Imhotep again.

Under Wes's powerful attack, Imhotep did not fall down, but turned into a pile of yellow sand again.

"Clone? He is worthy of being the high priest." Weiss, who was tricked, was not angry, but became more excited. He was very happy to have met an opponent worthy of the challenge.

"That's what makes it interesting."

Weiss immediately used the detection spell, but was disturbed in the underground palace. The underground palace was engraved with mysterious runes everywhere, and these runes still played a mysterious role even after three thousand years.

This is not a problem for me.

More than a dozen golden balls flew out of Weiss's sleeves and flew in different directions.

These were alchemical tools Weiss had crafted for locating and tracking people. These spheres moved through the underground palace, attempting to capture any clues.

However, the underground palace was too large, and these balls shuttled through various corners of the underground palace, but ultimately did not bring back any useful information.
