Chapter 97 Secret Meeting
Chapter 97 Secret Meeting
"How long have you not slept?" Sirius looked at Weiss's bloodshot eyes and messy hair and complained, "You are not much better now than when I escaped."
Weiss ignored Sirius, pushed him aside, and walked straight into the Black mansion.
After entering the house, the first thing that catches your eye is the dim hall. The furniture inside looks very old. The sofa and table are covered with a thick layer of dust because no one has taken care of them, and there is a musty smell.
"Don't you know how to clean up?" Wes covered his nose and looked at the living room full of dust and mold.
Sirius shrugged and replied nonchalantly, "That's not necessary. This place is much more comfortable than Azkaban. At least there are no Dementors here."
Weiss shook his head, feeling helpless about Sirius's attitude. "Clean it up." He simply whispered the spell, and the entire living room instantly became clean and tidy. The dust and musty smell disappeared, and the furniture regained its luster.
Sirius looked at the newly renovated living room. Even though he had seen Weiss perform magic many times, he was still shocked by his profound magical attainments.
[I'm afraid that besides him, only Dumbledore can cast spells without a wand so easily.]
Before Weiss reached the stairs, a sharp voice came from the corridor: "The prodigal son brought an outsider back. How sad the lady would be if she knew..."
In the shadows stood an elderly house-elf, spewing obscenities. Its skin seemed to be much more than necessary, hanging loosely on its frame, giving it an appearance of age and unhealth.
"Shut up, Kreacher! Go back to your room!" Sirius roared, "Don't come out without my order!"
Kreacher staggered back to the room, still muttering, "Sirius is a traitor to the family. Only Master Regulus is qualified to inherit the noble surname Black..."
"I command you to shut up!"
Kreacher hung his head and finally stopped making any sound, but one could still see his lips opening and closing as he cursed something, but no sound came out.
Weiss didn't come to the Black mansion just to pass the time. [Slytherin's locket seems to be in Kreacher's hands.]
The Black family home was decorated with portraits of all the Black family members. The characters in these portraits could speak, move, and were very concerned about the family's affairs. Sirius was annoyed by them and covered all the picture frames with black cloth, then led Weiss to the room that had been prepared long ago.
As soon as he opened the door, Weiss saw a room full of bookshelves filled with all kinds of books.
"I was planning to throw all these books away."
Because of his disagreement with his family's philosophy, Sirius was kicked out of his home when he was young and lived with the Potters. So he had no feelings for the Black family and naturally did not like the things in their home.
"You really are a loser." Weiss teased, feeling that Kreacher was absolutely right in what he said.
Sirius shrugged, seemingly unconcerned with the comment. "You'd better get some rest. These books are all yours now. No need to rush to sort them out."
With that, Sirius left the room, he didn't want to stay with a "nerd" like Weiss.
Wes was indeed very tired and only recovered after a day of rest.
In the following time, the Weasley family, Moody and several other members of the Order of the Phoenix arrived at the Black mansion one after another.
They are all people trusted by Dumbledore and the elite among wizards. Although Voldemort's body has been eliminated, the remaining Death Eaters are still hiding in the dark, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
What's more troublesome is that Voldemort created too many Horcruxes, which made the plan to destroy him more complicated and difficult. Arthur Weasley walked into the living room with a heavy news.
"I heard Fudge was going to take on Dumbledore."
"Is he crazy?" Sirius asked in disbelief.
Moody snorted coldly, as if he had expected this: "I guessed this day would come."
Everyone started to talk about criticizing Fu Ji.
"The most important thing now is to destroy the remaining Horcruxes. Let's put everything else aside," Moody said bitterly, leaning on his cane. "Fudge doesn't have the ability to bring down Dumbledore."
The fact is that they all underestimated Fudge. After all, Fudge was the Minister of Magic and held enormous power and resources.
Furthermore, the unexplained deaths of Karkaroff and Barty Crouch at Hogwarts had caused many to question Dumbledore. Fudge convened a hearing specifically to point the finger directly at Dumbledore, believing him to be responsible for the deaths.
Dumbledore had to attend the hearing, where he silenced Fudge with his argument.
Dumbledore explained the events in detail and provided sufficient evidence to prove that he was not at fault.
However, Fudge was not reconciled, and he sent his confidants to Hogwarts to investigate the deaths of Karkaroff and Barty Crouch.
Dumbledore would certainly not agree easily, but as the Minister of Magic, Fudge did have legitimate reasons to conduct an investigation.
Just as Fudge and his men were celebrating their partial victory in the hearing, something unexpected happened.
The Dementors who were originally guarding Azkaban suddenly deserted their posts and disappeared, and all the prisoners escaped.
Fu Ji slumped down on the chair in despair, "It's over, it's all over..."
Good news doesn't travel far, but bad news travels a thousand miles. The news of the collective escape of the prisoners of Azkaban spread quickly throughout the entire wizarding world, and everyone was in danger.
Even Wes didn't expect why things turned out like this.
A few days later, Lucius Malfoy secretly sent a message, requesting an immediate meeting with Weiss, and the location was arranged to be at the Leaky Cauldron.
Weiss put on a simple disguise, wearing a hat and a pair of glasses, and came to the Leaky Cauldron. Lucius Malfoy was still dressed the same, wearing a large black cloak, and dressed very low-key.
Since the prisoners escaped en masse, violent attacks have occurred every day. The endless torture in Azkaban has made these prisoners more brutal and crazy.
This resulted in the entire Diagon Alley being unpopular. The Leaky Cauldron, which was usually bustling with people, now had few customers under the dim lights. Only real drunkards were still in the mood to come here for entertainment at this time.
Weiss walked into the bar, looked around, and quickly found Lucius sitting in the corner.
He walked straight over and sat down opposite Lucius. To be cautious, Weiss cast a few spells.
