The Lord of the Laws of Heaven

Chapter 342 Godhead, Shinto

Chapter 342 Godhead, Shinto

As the Mahayana Prajnaparamita Way spreads, the primordial Way, which exists at its core, is also spreading.

Xiao Jun comprehended and absorbed the energy of the entire wilderness. Streams of destiny surged into Xiao Jun's heart, becoming resources, and also the source of countless people's faith.

There are gods in this world, and the so-called gods are essentially the convergence of thoughts and incense offerings.

When an ordinary person worships a deity, they are essentially entrusting their thoughts to the deity and giving the deity power. At the same time, the deity also carries the various emotions and burdens experienced by that person.

Some great Confucian scholars, when worshipping deities, actually dispel the spirits, which is essentially because the deities cannot bear the weight and thought of the great Confucian scholars.

A true Confucian scholar can see through the flow of destiny and the universe, and can truly know the affairs of the world without leaving his home. The scholar here is not the one who passed the imperial examination; the "scholarship" here can be described as the "brilliance" in the phrase "the wonders of nature are bestowed upon us."

Such a profound Confucian scholar's worship is incredibly weighty. The principles of the vast world directly press down upon it. Ordinary deities, when pressed down by such weighty principles, would immediately have all their thoughts crumble and their divine status perish.

Absorbing faith is like carrying the weight of everything a person has experienced.

Although Xiao Jun was not worshipped by great Confucian scholars, these people were all practicing the principles that belonged to Xiao Jun. One of the generalized beliefs was also acquired by Xiao Jun. Although the text of the Maha Vajra Prajna Paramita that Xiao Jun wrote focused on principles and did not talk about any strange powers or gods, nor did it emphasize any faith.

However, after spreading one's own path, others develop a generalized belief in this path, becoming a kind of general believer.

Even so, all the experiences of this group of believers, their rich life stories, and all their emotions of love and hate were absorbed by Xiao Jun, relying on the Dao Lord status that Xiao Jun had once comprehended, and absorbing faith through the Dao Lord status.

Xiao Jun carefully savored the profoundness of these lives. He analyzed every thought and every emotion using his own primordial Dao, dissecting it logically and thinking from its perspective, thus dissecting these countless generalized beliefs into the most fundamental truths.

"Think and reflect in accordance with the Way."

After reflecting on these ideas of faith, Xiao Jun gained some insights.

In order to survive, people need to transform and understand the world, thus forming a corresponding worldview. From this worldview, various views on life and values are derived, which can be collectively referred to as personality.

The personalities of ordinary people are not stable; they change over time, perhaps for the better, perhaps for the worse. This is all due to the influence of changes in external information.

The sage's character originates from the Dao, and all of the sage's thoughts follow reason, unconstrained by personal love, hate, or attachment. Therefore, the sage's thoughts remain steadfast in the face of worldly changes and are unburdened by emotions. Even amidst immense pressure and the onslaught of information from the vast universe, the sage's thoughts will not alter.

Because the essence of all information is reason itself. As long as one grasps the reason, one will not be misled by complex information. This is the mind of a sage.

The sage has no fixed mind; he takes the mind of the people as his own. It is not the thoughts of the people that constitute the sage's mind, but rather the principles contained within the thoughts of the people. These principles are the sage's mind, and these principles can in turn give rise to the thoughts of all living beings in the three thousand great worlds.

Xiao Jun absorbed a massive amount of faith thoughts, and the profound weight generated by everyone's faith thoughts was completely dissected by Xiao Jun's reasoned thinking.

With a thought, Xiao Jun unleashed a horizontal slash, a sharp edge emanating from his heart, cutting through each thought.

Beside Xiao Jun appeared another Xiao Jun, and this Xiao Jun was incomparably solemn and dignified. He suddenly appeared, and his body was radiating colorful light, which seemed to fill an entire world.

"Brother Dao!" The incredibly solemn Xiao Jun, whom Xiao Jun had just summoned, bowed to Xiao Jun.

“No need for formalities. You and I are seekers of the Way. Your appearance is due to the faith of others, and it is also a test for me on the path of divinity,” Xiao Jun replied.

The "Xiao Jun" that was slashed out in front of me was actually formed from the convergence and condensation of those beliefs, and its foundation was the Primordial Dao.

It uses the Primordial Dao to analyze all beliefs and to bear all the love, hate, and grudges associated with it. It uses the Primordial Dao to operate all thoughts and make decisions.

"Humans have personalities, and saints also have the heart of saints."

“Then the gods formed by the convergence of all living beings must also have a corresponding mode of thinking. Let’s call this mode of thinking… a divine spark!” Xiao Jun said.

“What you say is absolutely right, Brother Dao. I am the generalized faith of living beings in the Primordial Dao, and I was born into this vast world through your hands.” The faith body formed from this faith spoke: “I bear the love, hate, and grudges of living beings, and therefore I also have the love, hate, and grudges of living beings. I bear the self of living beings, and therefore I also have my own self.”

"But all of this arises and ceases based on reason. All my thoughts are based on reason! This reason can be called my personality, or perhaps, my divinity!"

"I was born by the Tao, and I will perish because of the Tao."

The God of Faith also answered.

“Your form of existence is truly profound, because your divinity is the principle itself, and the belief of living beings in the principle gives rise to your existence.” Xiao Jun nodded in admiration, “Theoretically, even if your physical body perishes.”

"When the time comes in the future, when there are other beings who believe in the primordial way, they will gather together again and give birth to you."

“Even if that body is not this one, it still shares the same Dao and the same divine nature. It can be said to be eternally immortal!” Xiao Jun explained.

"This is the idealized state of the divine way, because the Dao is born and the Dao perishes!" The Faith Avatar nodded and said, "That kind of existence is because there was originally such a Dao between heaven and earth, so my existence originally existed. I was born before heaven and earth, and heaven and earth decay but I am immortal, simply because the Dao has no beginning and no end, and I accompany the Dao."

"This realm is the most ideal state of the divine path." Xiao Jun nodded and said, "Such a god can be called an innate saint. It's a pity that you can't achieve that yet."

"It's just that their understanding and comprehension of the Dao haven't reached that level yet, but this divine path can continue to develop in this way," the God of Faith nodded. "Indeed, but fellow Daoist, please return to your divine position!" Xiao Jun pondered for a while, remaining silent for a long time, calculating the infinite mysteries, before speaking to the God of Faith before him.

"Good!" The faith thoughts gathered around the god of faith began to fluctuate, and various changes occurred in the space, with ripples spreading out.

Meanwhile, the god of faith before them gradually faded, seemingly merging into the void.

Xiao Jun's thoughts began to unfold, and he mobilized boundless primordial energy to condense it, spreading the water of lightning tribulation throughout the entire wilderness. This water of lightning tribulation also merged into the void.

Soon, a strange wave enveloped the original Tianwu City and surged towards the rest of the desolate lands.

After a long while, Xiao Jun finally came to his senses.

The entire desolate land, especially Tianwu City, has been enveloped by the god of faith constructed by Xiao Jun.

The gods of faith do not enter the smaller worlds. When ordinary gods of faith enter the larger worlds, they are squeezed by the larger worlds. Over time, the gods will be directly washed away and disappear. Therefore, ordinary gods usually hide in a smaller world.

Only very occasionally do deities leave the Lesser Thousand Worlds, and even then, they cannot exist for long. To exist in the Greater Thousand Worlds for a long time, one must become a human to be qualified to live within the Greater Thousand Worlds for an extended period.

However, the god of faith that Xiao Jun created by relying on the Hongmeng Dao did not choose to enter the Lesser Thousand Worlds. Instead, he merged himself directly into the void, operated and thought by relying on the Hongmeng Dao, and absorbed faith by relying on the godhood derived from the Hongmeng Dao.

Because it is a deity derived from the Primordial Chaos Dao, a deity born from generalized faith, it has no fixed appearance. Its true form is the Primordial Chaos Dao, and all other forms are variations of it.

This deity, which arose from Xiao Jun's Primordial Dao, can be called the Primordial God.

However, the relationship between this Primordial God and Xiao Jun is not so simple. It seems to have been born alongside the Dao, and it is also a facet of Xiao Jun's true spirit. It is both an independent existence and a part of Xiao Jun.

The current Primordial God is still in the process of slow nurturing and growth.

In fact, the Primordial God did not merely absorb faith thoughts as power to grow. The Primordial God was more like a peculiar primordial energy life form. So-called faith was merely the basic fuel. Even without faith, the Primordial God could still exist. However, at that time, the Primordial God was a being that operated and thought based on the Primordial Dao, without any emotions or attachments.

Because of faith, the Primordial God possessed sufficient emotion to fuel his thoughts; otherwise, devoid of emotion, he would have simply existed silently, awaiting his demise. This is unlike deities who rely solely on the thought of faith.

The Primordial God silently operates the Primordial Dao, relying on the Primordial Dao as its foundation to analyze the primordial energy, phenomena, and void of the vast world. This knowledge and wisdom will become the Primordial God's resources, allowing the Primordial God to expand its own existence.

This form of expansion is extremely rapid, almost explosive.

The presence that rapidly enveloped this Tongtian Plain continued to spread outwards from the surrounding wilderness, and seemed to be expanding towards the outer reaches of the sea.

Xiao Jun helped the Hongmeng God with a ritual, silently calculating and watching the Hongmeng God expand outwards. Meanwhile, the Hongmeng God began to regulate the world within its own domain.

For those who believe in the Primordial Dao, the Primordial God will bestow a small blessing. This blessing lies in amplifying the correct thoughts in their hearts, allowing those who cultivate the Primordial Dao to more easily align themselves and acquire wisdom more quickly.

A simple influence on a tiny bit of vital energy can, through a series of butterfly effects, change the surrounding weather.

The wilderness is spring-like all year round, but it is full of miasma and poisonous insects. It is indeed a treasure land, but to cultivate it would require a great price. Moreover, it is far away from the Ninety-Nine Heavens Continent, so it has never been developed.

The Ninety-Nine Heavenly Continents, in the darkness, embody the destiny of the Great Thousand Worlds and are its center. Whoever controls the Ninety-Nine Heavenly Continents can be called the Son of Heaven. No matter how vast the lands beyond the Ninety-Nine Heavenly Continents may be, they are all barbarian lands.

Not to mention the Ninety-Nine Heavenly Continents, which are the embodiment of the Kun Yuan Dao in the entire universe! The Ninety-Nine Heavenly Continents are of utmost importance if one wants to achieve the highest realm of martial arts or even reach the other shore.

Xiao Jun is not far from reaching the supreme martial arts realm of shattering the vacuum! He also needs to carefully comprehend and sense the Ninety-Nine Heavenly Continents in preparation for breaking through to the realm of shattering the vacuum.

In terms of living conditions alone, the Wilderness is incredibly rich in resources. Many spiritual herbs and medicines that no longer exist in the Ninety-Nine Heavens Continent grow freely in the Wilderness, and there are countless kinds of mineral treasures waiting to be discovered.

Those venomous snakes and insects were major obstacles to survival, but at this moment, the God of Primordial Chaos, relying on the influence of manipulating a tiny bit of primordial energy and the chain reaction of the butterfly effect, was beginning to eliminate the miasma and drive away the venomous snakes and insects.

Everything happens naturally; everything exists naturally.

It's as if such changes are naturally destined to occur in the wilderness.

According to Xiao Jun's calculations, the next step in the evolution of the Primordial God is to decipher the mysteries of thought. At that time, all the thoughts of all beings within the Primordial God's divine realm can become resources for the Primordial God, fuel to make the Primordial God even more powerful.

Currently, only those who believe in the Way of Hongmeng can contribute their thoughts to fuel the development of the Hongmeng God.

"The second step is that all thoughts and ideas can be evolved from the Primordial Dao, so all people's thoughts can be generalized beliefs of the Primordial God."

"The third step is to reach an ultimate understanding of matter and life, where no longer any thoughts or beliefs are needed as resources."

"The fourth step, the fifth step... are still too far away!" Xiao Jun sighed, but he understood that the ultimate goal of the divine path was to become an innate saint.

Even the innate deities themselves need to "align with the Dao"! The cultivation of the divine path is not a simple one.
