Chapter 3 From the Corpse of Infamy: The Teachings of Dullahan
Ming Che lunged at the humanoid corpse, leaving a trail of broken footprints on the ground. His silver spear shone coldly through the air, the flames at its tip transforming into a fiery dragon, which opened its maw and bit down on the black ball above the opponent's head.
"Stop looking down on me, you arrogant fellow! Flame Dragon Splitting Sky Stab!" Ming Che roared, his entire body ablaze with flames. He transformed into a meteor and charged towards the humanoid Yi Hai. Facing Ming Che's explosive attack, the humanoid Yi Hai calmly placed the crystal shield on his left arm in front of him.
The next second, "Boom!" A massive explosion enveloped the two figures. Yi Hai, the humanoid figure, merely took a step back before taking Ming Che's full-strength blow, staring at the sparking crystal shield before him.
The black sphere of the humanoid skeleton swayed slightly, like a master observing his unsuccessful apprentice. Mingche's stomach growled again, signaling hunger. Seeing this, the humanoid skeleton gave up its stalemate.
The humanoid figure flinched backwards, and Ming Che, having lost his target, lost his balance and lunged forward. "Plop, clang!" Ming Che landed face first, his silver spear falling to the side with a resounding clang.
"Hiss~" Ming Che climbed to his feet and rubbed his red nose with his hand. After a moment's pause, he raised his finger and pointed at the humanoid Yi Hai, cursing, "You! You, you have no moral integrity." At this moment, Ming Che's stomach began to rumble again.
"Ding-dong!" Ming Che looked down and saw a piece of ether crystal cut by a sharp weapon appeared at his feet. Ming Che looked up at the humanoid skeleton standing not far away in confusion. "What does this mean?"
The humanoid Yikui pointed at the ether crystal on the ground with his aether sword, then raised his hand to point at Mingche, his meaning self-evident. Mingche bent down, picked it up doubtfully, and swallowed the ether crystal in one gulp.
The etheric crystal force transformed into pure energy and entered Mingche's body. Mingche closed his eyes, feeling the surging etheric energy within him. He raised his right hand and gently waved the silver spear on the ground, returning it to his palm.
A flame that was even more ferocious than before covered the gun body. When the flame dissipated, the originally silver spear turned black. The traces of the previous flame spread turned into golden lines, and a fire dragon mark appeared on the forehead.
Mingche's eyes grew fierce, as if a flame burned within them. His long hair fluttered behind him, and a vast aura emanated from him. Mingche clenched his fists, realizing his strength had increased even further.
"Bang, bang!" Before Mingche could adjust to the changes in his body, the familiar knocking sound rang out again. Mingche scratched his hair in annoyance and said impatiently, "I know, I know." After saying this, Mingche spun the black spear half a circle in his hand.
"Try my new move, the Fiery Dragon!" Ming Che roared, and the tip of his spear once again transformed into a roaring fire dragon. Unlike before, this time the fire dragon was a separate individual. Ming Che quickly turned around and swept his spear.
The fire dragon rushed to the humanoid skeleton first and entangled it tightly. The huge dragon head opened its big mouth and bit the humanoid skeleton that it was entangled with. When the dragon's mouth closed, a ray of white light lit up from the sky, and the flames of the explosion dyed the sky red.
"Boom!" The massive explosion shook the ground. Just as Ming Che thought he had knocked the opponent down, a sound of air breaking echoed from behind him. Before he could react, Ming Che was sent flying several meters by the massive ether shield.
"Cough cough..." Ming Che coughed a few times as he lay on the ground. He felt as if his entire body was falling apart. He raised his head with difficulty and looked at the humanoid skeleton holding up the blackened ether shield. An unpleasant smile stretched across his lips.
Ming Che just lay on the ground and looked at the other party. In Ming Che's surprised eyes, the humanoid Yi Ke raised the etheric sword and chopped it down, and a small section of the crystal on the etheric shield was kicked in front of Ming Che.
Then he raised the ether shield and shook it, as if to say: "Boy, you are still a long way from defeating me." This time, Ming Che just silently ate the crystal, but his eyes revealed a sense of dissatisfaction.
A few seconds later, Ming Che stood up again and grappled with the humanoid Yi Hai. Each time, just as Ming Che got carried away, the humanoid Yi Hai ambushed him from behind, knocking him to the ground. He would then slice off another crystal and let Ming Che swallow it. This cycle continued, Ming Che's fighting skills becoming increasingly proficient. He could now barely hold off a few blows from the humanoid Yi Hai, but defeating him was still a long way off, and Ming Che was often the one being knocked to the ground.
Time passed in the hollow, and in the blink of an eye, Ming Che grew from a small brat into a handsome young man. Ming Che continued his sparring with the humanoid skeleton as usual, his spear wielding with the agility of a dragon, each strike imbued with powerful force.
"Be careful!" Ming Che warned, twirling his spear in his hand. The tip transformed into a flaming dragon head, roaring and charging towards the humanoid. "Boom!" A massive explosion echoed, and a massive amount of flames enveloped the humanoid.
Seeing this, Ming Che flashed behind the opponent, spear ready for another surprise attack. "Zizizizi!" Wisps of electricity arced from Ming Che's hand onto the spear. The spear turned silver-white, and tiny arcs of electricity danced on the spear.
"Thunderstorm!" Ming Che said, his figure transforming into a bolt of lightning as he rushed towards the flaming humanoid corpse. "Ziziziziz!" Violent thunder instantly filled the surroundings, and Ming Che quickly withdrew without hesitation.
He raised his spear with one hand and launched another attack. "Thunder Dragon Roars!" Three thunder dragons as thick as buckets flew out from behind Ming Che, roaring and charging into the flames. "Boom! Zizizizi~" This series of moves successfully exhausted Ming Che.
Ming Che stabbed the spear into the ground and collapsed to the ground, gasping for air with his mouth open. "Ding-dong!" Ming Che was already used to it. He fumbled around on the ground beside him for a while, then picked up the crystal and swallowed it in one gulp.
Ming Che sighed helplessly, "Master, when will I ever defeat you?" He turned his head and looked at the figure standing beside him. He saw that besides being slightly black, there were also some arcs of electricity on the figure's body.
"Bang bang!" the humanoid's skeleton struck the ether shield, a dull yet powerful sound. "I know, I know. I'm still a long way from here, right?" Ming Che said, clasping his hands behind his head and lying back.
Looking at the unchanging blue sky above, Ming Che stretched out a hand, attempting to touch the barrier. The sound of the humanoid skeleton knocking against each other reverberated again. Ming Che stood up and reluctantly drew his spear.
"Alas, I wonder what the world outside is like." Ming Che was so preoccupied with his thoughts that he completely failed to notice the approaching Ether Blade. When Ming Che realized what was happening, he subconsciously leaned back to avoid the attack.
Ming Che's expression grew irritable, and he swept his spear across, forcing back the humanoid Yi Hai who was about to launch another sneak attack. "Teacher, you're trying to sneak attack!" With that, Ming Che stopped thinking about anything else and focused on fighting the humanoid Yi Hai in front of him.

On the other side of the cave, a five-man team was searching for something with instruments. One of the soldiers, a tall and thin man, approached the leader and asked, "Captain, what are we doing here?"
The captain of the soldiers being questioned looked at the instrument in his hand and explained, "The order from above is to find this experimental subject." At this time, a short soldier asked, "Boss, how can we find him if we don't even know what eyes look like?"
The tall and thin soldier echoed, "Yeah, yeah! Boss, we don't even know who the target is, how are we going to find him?!" The captain, frustrated by the two men's bickering, scolded, "What are you arguing about? Isn't there a photo on the instrument? Why don't you check it yourself?"
