Chapter 37 The mission was unexpectedly completed
The pastor girl stared at him blankly, the smell of blood still lingering in her nose. She opened her mouth and said:
"Thank you."
Then, as if she had lost all her strength, she fell to the ground, tears streaming down her face.
Yaluo turned his head and looked towards the boiler, where Owen had already taken care of the other two goblins.
They were untied with a sword, and most of them were still intact, with only five of them slightly injured, but two of the unlucky ones had already been processed into meat.
“I thought I was going to die.”
Charles touched his pounding chest. The feeling of surviving a disaster made his whole body a little limp, and the corners of his mouth twitched as he smiled.
"Ha, haha, this must be because of my protagonist halo."
As soon as he finished speaking, he was kicked from behind and fell to the ground. The pastor girl came up and punched and kicked him:
"I'm going to beat you to death, you shameless bastard! You useless thing! You just wanted to play with me with the goblins! Are you even human, you beast?"
"Now there is one more casualty."
Yaluo turned to look at his teammates.
The members of the adventure team who had just been rescued all had dejected expressions on their faces. It could be seen from their faces that no one wanted to stay in this hellhole for another second.
"Thank you for saving me. Um, where is the dragon lady?" someone asked.
"He was led away and now I don't know where he went." Yaluo said.
He was taken by Owen to the Deep Well area, but there he saw a number of tunnels that had been bombed to pieces, and the Zesians had disappeared into these tunnels.
"Let's go to the prison and rescue the village chief's family first, and then leave here." Yaluo said.
He pointed at Owen and said to everyone, "This is Owen. He is very familiar with the terrain here and can be our guide."
"Hello."
The other adventurers greeted him one after another. Although they didn't know who this armored man was, judging from his equipment and the aura he exuded, this man was extremely strong and was obviously an expert in killing goblins.
The adventurers' equipment was thrown in the corner of the kitchen. They took their weapons and equipment and left the kitchen.
After they all left, a goblin walked in through the front door.
"Hey! Where's today's meal? You guys aren't just busy pulling carrots and not cooking! The brothers are starving to death."
He looked at the empty kitchen, the ropes scattered all over the floor, and the bodies of several goblins lying on the ground.
He immediately rushed to the front dining hall and yelled, "Fuck you, guys! Someone let our lunch run away!"
A large group of goblins rushed out howling, and the cave was rumbling like a sports meeting.
After a large group of goblins ran over, a small hole appeared in the wall. Yaluo took a look outside and immediately closed it.
"It's a bit dangerous. The cave is full of goblins right now."
He turned and spoke to his teammates crowded in the small cave.
"I know there's another way, but it's a long way," Irving said.
"There's no other way." Yaluo looked at him.
"Then I'll leave it to you, Owen."
The Owennashan helmet looked at him, and a dull voice came from inside: "Leave it to me."
After there were no goblins outside, Owen led them out, took two detours, and moved a stone on the side of the road, creating a passage that was wide enough for one person to move forward while crouching.
The passage was a downward sloping wave. After walking for about ten minutes, we finally got out of this narrow passage.
"We're here. This is the Goblin prison."
The temperature here seemed even colder and damper. It was obviously a very deep area with no light. Occasionally, a piece of fluorite emitting a faint light was inlaid on the wall.
On both sides of the road were low cells, less than half a person's height, enclosed by fences, with cold air constantly blowing out from inside.
As they walked, the pastor looked at the dark cells with some fear: "How can anyone survive being locked up in a place like this?"
"Don't say it out loud, it makes me feel a little creepy when I say it out loud."
"Keep your voices down! What if the goblins hear us?"
Just as she finished speaking, a hand suddenly stretched out from a cell on the side of the road and grabbed the ankle of the passing pastor girl.
"Ahhh! There's a ghost!"
She screamed, kicked the hand away, and ran forward in panic.
"Shut up!"
Yaluo growled, grabbed her in anger and covered her mouth with his hand.
The pastor girl had her mouth covered and could only make humming sounds, while she raised her hand and kept pointing at the cell.
Yaluo looked over. Now everyone was away from the cell, and an arm as haggard as a tree trunk was half hanging outside.
Yaluo walked forward, squatted in front of the cell, and raised the glowing fluorite. The light illuminated an old, bearded face, and two lifeless eyes looked at him.
"Is it the village chief?" Yaluo asked.
"Yes, it's me. Finally, finally a human has come." Old Mike squeezed out a weak voice from his throat.
There was a lock on the iron fence gate. Although it was rusty, it seemed very strong after being pulled twice.
"Who knows the art of blasting?" He looked at everyone.
A short goblin raised his hand tremblingly.
"I know a little bit."
"Well, you try it."
The goblin nodded and stepped forward, holding his staff.
"Village chief, please move back a little." The goblin said, standing in front of the cell.
Then he chanted an incantation and pointed at the cell door.
With a muffled bang, the cell door was deformed, enough for one person to crawl out.
They dragged Old Mike out.
"Where are your family members?" Yaluo asked.
Old Mike shook his head: "I don't know, they locked me up in solitary confinement."
"It should be in another prison." Owen guessed.
"Village chief, you must have suffered a lot." someone said.
"Ah" Old Mike nodded slightly, paused, and tears flowed unconsciously.
He covered his face and started crying.
"Yes, I'm sorry, I, I just feel like crying."
"It seems like he's been through something terrible."
Finally, the village chief was rescued and the mission was partially accomplished. We continued to move forward under Owen's leadership.
"By the way, your blasting skills are also very powerful. Why didn't you use it against the goblins before?" Yaluo asked the goblin beside him.
"Well, that's because I get nervous when I meet an enemy, and when I get nervous, I can't recite the spell," said the goblin.
"In other words, your blasting technique won't work when you encounter an enemy?"
"Um"
"."
After leaving the cell area, the road opened up and began to slope upwards.
"We can get out of here if we go up a little further," said Owen.
They walked upwards, and with such an experienced guide around, many people began to relax.
"I didn't expect it to be so smooth this time. I didn't encounter a single goblin."
"After this mission is over, I will never accept commissions from goblins again."
Just as everyone began to breathe a sigh of relief, Owen suddenly stopped them.
"Wait, something's wrong."
"What's wrong?" Yaluo asked.
"This road is not that long." Owen said in a low voice as he looked at the diagonal waves that extended infinitely upward in front of him.
"According to the time we've been moving forward, we should have reached the end by now, but..."
Everyone was startled, and a creepy feeling rose from the soles of their feet.
"whee."
A shrill laugh sounded around, and at the same time, the surrounding scene began to shatter. The cave walls on both sides extended rapidly in all directions. Within a few breaths, they were no longer standing in the cave passage, but in a huge cave.
"It's illusion magic!" someone shouted in panic.
Everyone's gaze shifted to the center of the cave. In the center of the cave, there was a platform made of bones, on which lay a fat, extremely ugly goblin.
A weird smile formed on that fat green face, which was looking at them and giggling.
"Owen, you bastard are not dead yet."
