Chapter 94 Mansion
Chapter 94 Mansion
The carriage clanged and stopped in front of a small manor villa, and Yaluo and Selena got out.
“What a big villa!”
His eyes widened.
The salesperson actually did not lie to them. This was not a shabby manor surrounded by mountains and water. It was really a magnificent, five-story mansion with a garden and a fountain. It was obviously an elegant villa where wealthy gentlemen lived.
But the yard looked like it hadn't been taken care of for a long time, with fallen leaves all over the ground, withered flowers, and overgrown bushes.
The salesperson unlocked the iron gate, pushed open the creaking iron gate, smiled and made a gesture of invitation, led the way, and they walked into the yard.
"The house is vacant now, but don't worry, it's clean inside and someone comes to clean it every month, but you may need to take care of the yard yourself."
As he spoke, he pushed open the door of the villa.
The interior decoration is in Rococo style, complicated and gorgeous. There are two pairs of spiral staircases on the left and right when you enter the door. The dark carpet extends from the door to the stairs. A crystal chandelier hangs on the ceiling of the hall, showing its incomparable luxury.
"The original owner of this villa was named Borden. His family moved to another city, and the property became idle. Due to some financial reasons, they could no longer devote the energy to maintaining it, so they had no choice but to sell it."
The salesperson makes the introduction for them.
"Then why is it so cheap?" Selena asked.
"this one"
The salesperson hesitated to speak, only smiling slightly: "Let me show you two around."
They followed the salesperson to visit the house. Perhaps because the villa was too big and the corridor was only lit by a few small fluorites, Selena felt inexplicably eerie in the place, and a cool breeze kept blowing on the back of her neck.
There are portraits hanging on both sides of the corridor, but the faces of these people are painted with gloomy clouds, some have ferocious expressions, and some are even abstract paintings, which are extremely distorted and weird.
What’s even more terrible is that the eyes of the people in these portraits have been processed, so that no matter what angle you are in, it feels like you are being stared at.
Serena shuddered and moved closer to Yalo.
"These paintings." She asked with some fear in her tone.
"Oh, these paintings are the work of a portrait painter who was a friend of the original owner. They all depict the original owner's family."
"Well, good taste." Yaluo commented after observing carefully.
"Good taste?" Selena stared at him blankly.
Anyone who sees this kind of painting would feel uncomfortable, right?
The salesperson then sighed softly, "It's a pity that the artist committed suicide due to some mental illness. The painting at the end was his last work."
Serena looked at him with wide eyes.
Then I heard Ya Luo also say with regret: "Yeah, the mental state of doing art is not very good."
"It's really kind of you to understand him," the salesperson said with a smile. "But then again, paintings by dead artists are the most valuable, aren't they?"
He made a joke, and Yaluo laughed along, and they continued walking forward.
"No, no," Serena wanted to say something, but Yaluo and Sales had already walked away.
She glanced at the painter's last painting, which showed a headless woman sitting at the dining table with a knife and fork, cutting her own bloody head on the plate. Only one eye was left, revealing despair, and it was staring at the person in front of the painting.
“Is it really okay to have this kind of painting at home?”
She shuddered and felt like she would blink if she continued looking at the painting.
He quickly ran to catch up with Yaluo.
"I have to show you this. I believe you will be happy after seeing it."
The salesperson smiled mysteriously, pushed open a door in front of them, turned on the crystal chandelier on the ceiling, and inside was a gorgeous large bathtub.
The bathing pool is at least ten square meters in size, built of marble, and has stone pillars inlaid with gold edges. Occupying the entire dome is a huge painting depicting a group of goddesses bathing in the pool.
"What do you two think?" The salesperson looked at them. "Yeah, it's pretty good." Ya Luo nodded.
Selena also looked longingly at the big bath.
"Think about it," the salesman winked at Yaluo with a playful look on his face. "On a quiet night, taking a bath with your wife in this bathtub would be incredibly romantic."
"Haha, you're joking." Yaluo said.
Serena blushed slightly and glared at Yaluo, puffing out her cheeks.
She looked around the large bathroom and then saw something.
"Then, what is that?" She pointed to the edge of the bathtub with trembling hands.
Looking closer, it was a human outline drawn with white powder, with a small numbered sign placed on the side.
"Oh, this is just a prank by the previous owner's child. I'm really sorry for not cleaning it up in time."
The salesperson sneered, walked forward and rubbed the outline twice with his feet.
"No, that, that is obviously the mark of a murder body, right?" Selena looked terrified.
"Miss, you are joking. Who would kill someone in the bathroom?" said the salesperson.
"Ya, Yaluo, you." Selena looked at Yaluo.
"What a naughty child." said Yaluo.
"???"
Yaluo and the salesperson smiled at each other, and the salesperson said, "Come on, I'll show you the bedroom."
"It's troublesome."
Serena glanced at the human outline on the ground, swallowed, and hurried to catch up with them.
Sales opens a door full of jewels.
"This is the bedroom. It was the room of the original owner and his wife. It can be used as the master bedroom for you two."
The bedroom is also luxuriously decorated. The large bed with silk bedding and four Roman columns is big enough to sleep four or five people.
Selena walked to the window and looked down from the balcony. Then she was stunned as if she saw something. She stretched out her trembling hand and pointed at a rope loop hanging on a dead tree in the garden below.
"That is."
"Ah, this." The salesperson came up and took a look. He was a little embarrassed. He coughed twice and looked at them seriously and said:
"That's a swing."
"Swing? That's clearly a rope for hanging!" Selena said in unbearable horror.
Now she understood why this house was so cheap. Even if she died suddenly after moving in, it would be a good ending.
She looked at Yaluo, grabbed his arm and said anxiously, "Yalu! Say something! There's something wrong with this house, right? It's obviously a haunted house!"
"Miss, you are joking. Why would we sell a haunted house? This house just has some minor problems, but these minor problems are nothing compared to its cost-effectiveness." said the salesperson.
"A little?" Selina twitched her eyes.
"Indeed." Yaluo nodded in agreement.
"really?"
Serena looked at Yaluo in disbelief: "Yalu, you don't really want to buy this haunted house, do you?"
"Selena." Yaluo looked at her seriously.
"This house only costs one hundred gold coins, and there's no down payment!"
