Six girls, six pairs of eyes, all focused on Lin Xiuyi.

The scene left Lin Xiuyi, who had just woken up from his sleep, somewhat bewildered.

He blinked to make sure it wasn't a dream, and then his brain started working at high speed.

Why are they here? When did they come in? How come he didn't notice at all? He clearly locked the door when he came back last night...

As Lin Xiuyi pondered these questions, she feigned shyness and pulled the thin blanket tighter around herself, covering herself more thoroughly from the neck down.
"This is...this is my bedroom, I'm still sleeping. And..."

He paused deliberately, lowering his voice.
"I sleep naked, isn't it inappropriate for you to do this so early in the morning?"

"Don't give me that!" Eri Kisaki rolled her eyes at him, annoyed. "We've already seen the news this morning!"

"News?" Lin Xiu blinked, trying to play dumb. "What news? I went to bed very late last night and haven't gotten up to check it yet this morning."

"Stop pretending!" Yukiko said angrily. "Didn't we agree to go and protect the Terracotta Army together? You just did it all by yourself without saying a word! We've been waiting for your news!"

The girl took a step forward, her finger almost poking Lin Xiuyi's nose.
"Last night you pretended to tell us to go to bed early, saying there was a big operation today and we needed to conserve our energy. And what happened? You secretly went off to carry out the operation all by yourself!"

Chikage Tomizawa chimed in, her tone even more dangerous than Yukiko's, like she was sharpening a knife:

"That's right. I really thought there was some big operation going on today, so I went to bed early last night to be full of energy. But when I woke up this morning and turned on the TV... I saw the glorious deeds of some great hero last night."

"Onii-chan, you lied to me again!" Reiko stomped her foot angrily, her face turning bright red. "You promised to take me with you! But you went on an adventure all by yourself again!"

Lin Xiuyi looked at Chi Bojinghua, hoping that this relatively rational girl could say something fair.

But Ikeba Shizuka just kept a straight face and spoke calmly, though with obvious displeasure:
"This morning's news has already reported on how you and Hattori Heizo cooperated with the police to escort the Terracotta Warriors to the dock last night."

"The major TV stations broadcast it in turn, with blurry footage from the scene, on-site reports from reporters, and interviews with Uncle Gangsi."

"Uncle Gang Si didn't tell me anything about this. I only found out by watching the news. I didn't know so much happened last night."

Lin Xiuyi felt a headache coming on.

He knew that what happened last night would be exposed; the tunnel explosion and the high-speed chase were operations of a scale that could not be completely kept from the media.

But he didn't expect the news to come so quickly, and he certainly didn't expect these girls to be blocking his bedside so early in the morning because of it.

“Last night was different from usual.”

Lin Xiuyi chuckled awkwardly as she tried to explain, while carefully adjusting the blanket to make sure she was properly covered.

"The other party was ruthless and even blew up the tunnel without hesitation, showing no regard for the police or human lives."

“I was summoned by Hattori last night at the last minute. The situation was urgent, and I didn’t have time to inform you. And…”

He looked at the girls sincerely.

“I’m also worried about your safety. Those people aren’t ordinary thieves; they’re real outlaws. I don’t want you to get involved.”

He spoke sincerely, and some of what he said was indeed true.

Last night's situation was indeed dangerous; he had personally experienced the spider's strength.

If these girls really got involved, what if something happens...?

But clearly, his explanation did not gain acceptance.

"Worried about us?" Eri's voice turned cold. "What about your safety? What if something happens to you..."

Just then, Midori Orikasa wrinkled her small nose and interjected, "...I think I smell a faint scent of blood."

Her voice wasn't loud, but it was clear enough that everyone's eyes immediately turned to her.

Orikasa Midori sniffed the air carefully again, and after a few seconds, she turned her gaze to Hayashi Shuichi, "The smell of blood should be coming from Senpai's bed..."

This statement was like a pebble thrown into calm water, instantly creating ripples.

"Onii-chan, are you hurt?" Reiko immediately became anxious, her voice trembling with tears.

The little girl no longer cared about Eri's attempts to stop her, forcefully broke free from her hand, and tried to climb onto the bed.

But Eri Kisaki was faster than her.

Eager to know the extent of Lin Xiuyi's injuries, she disregarded the presence of the other girls and reached out to tear off the thin blanket covering Lin Xiuyi!
With a "whoosh," the thin blanket was completely pulled off and thrown aside.

Then, time seemed to stand still.

Lin Xiuyi did indeed sleep naked.

This wasn't an excuse he made up to avoid a confrontation; he was simply too tired to change out of his pajamas when he got home last night.

"...Hey! You, you really sleep naked?!"

Yukiko's face instantly turned red to her ears, and she quickly turned her head away.

"Onii-chan!"

Reiko also cried out in surprise and hurriedly covered her eyes with her hands, but then couldn't resist her curiosity and secretly opened her fingers to take a closer look.

Unexpectedly, Eri Kisaki was faster and covered the little girl's eyes completely.

"Don't look!"

"You scoundrel!" Tomizawa Chikage glared at Lin Xiuyi with annoyance before turning her head away somewhat awkwardly.

Orikasa Midori next to her nodded in agreement, her face flushed, her gaze fixed on the window, not daring to look at the bed at all.

"Put your clothes on quickly!" Chi Bo Jinghua blushed slightly, bent down to pick up the clothes scattered on the floor, and threw them to Lin Xiuyi.

Lin Xiuyi took the clothes, looking completely innocent: "How am I supposed to wear them if you're all staring at me like this?"

This statement made the girls realize that they had indeed lost their composure.

Eri Kisaki took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down, then pulled Reiko and turned around first, with their backs to the bed: "Turn around, let him get dressed."

Yukiko, Chikage Tomizawa, Midori Orikasa, and Shizuka Ikenami also turned around in turn.

Six girls stood in a row by the bed with their backs to Lin Xiuyi, creating a somewhat comical scene.

Lin Xiuyi hurriedly got up and quickly put on her clothes.

"I'm dressed."

Eri Kisaki immediately turned around, stepped forward and carefully examined Lin Xiuyi's body, and soon noticed a trace of blood on the cuff of his right sleeve.

"It's just a minor injury from the thread," Lin Xiuyi explained casually. "Last night I fought with someone who used thread as a weapon, and my wrist got caught in it by accident. It's nothing serious."

As he spoke, he raised his right hand so the girls could see it more clearly.

"How is it? Not a single scratch?"

“It does look fine,” Yukiko nodded.

"Are there any other injuries?" Ikeba Shizuka asked.

"Didn't you all see it just now?" Lin Xiuyi chuckled mischievously. (End of Chapter)
