Chapter 23: So You Are This Kind of 1 Ou Yang

Chapter 23: You are such an Ouyang

At night, a heavy rain came unexpectedly and the temperature dropped by more than ten degrees.

A group of people huddled on camp beds, wrapping themselves tightly in thin blankets to barely retain a trace of warmth.

People who have never lived in a tent may find it novel, but those who have lived in one have nothing but complaints.

Even the US military tents are no exception.

The next morning, Ou Yang felt dizzy and his forehead was burning.

Zhu Yiming was the first to notice something was wrong. He reached out to touch it and cried out inwardly, "Oh no!"

Seeing this, the others also came over, but they were all at a loss as to what to do.

Is this contagious?

Lao Mi didn't have as many concerns as them. When he saw Zhu Yiming's actions, he immediately realized that something was wrong and immediately called for several protective suits.

After a quick inspection of the protective suit, it was confirmed that Ou Yang did have a fever, and he was taken away immediately.

Zhu Yiming wanted to stop him but couldn't find a reason. After a moment of hesitation, Ou Yang was carried out of the tent in protective clothing.

"Don't worry, good things will come to you." Brother Zhang patted Zhu Yiming's shoulder, his tone heavier than ever before.

He had anticipated that this day would come, but he didn't expect it to come so soon.

Zhu Yiming curled his lips: "I'm fine."

Uncle Hu also tried to persuade him, "It was both windy and rainy last night. How could you not catch a cold if you just lie here freezing all night? Xiao Ma, what's wrong with you?"

"Uncle Hu is right!"

Zhu Yiming whispered, "I hope it's just a cold."

Probably because they were with Ou Yang, Lao Mi, who was in the same tent, stayed away from them after learning that Ou Yang might be infected, and no one came near the four of them.

Not long after, the protective suits came again and this time took all four people away and sent them to Area B together.

In everyone's impression, Area C is relatively safe, but Area B is definitely a place full of tigers and wolves, and it is a sign of entering Area A soon!

"What's going on?" Uncle Hu said dissatisfiedly.

Uncle Hu knew that Ou Yang was not to blame for this, but he couldn't keep it to himself and would feel uncomfortable if he didn't say it out loud.

"Everyone, please pay more attention." said Brother Zhang.

After officially entering Area B, everyone puts on a bracelet for identification, followed by blood draws, urine tests, and various lung-related physical examinations.

The results of the examination were surprising - no abnormalities were found.

Uncle Hu was so happy that he couldn't close his mouth: "So we don't have to stay in Area B, right?"

Brother Zhang immediately grabbed a protective suit and asked, but the protective suit shook his head firmly and said in a muffled voice: "Close contacts must stay in Area B!"

"There's a person with a fever in front of you. The examination shows that he's fine, but he already has symptoms. He needs to be sent to Area A soon!" After saying this, the man in protective suit hurried away.

Several people looked at each other, feeling a little confused.

At this moment, two men in protective suits came into view, pushing Ou Yang, who had just completed the inspection. Everyone wanted to go over and say hello, but was stopped sternly by the men in protective suits.

Everyone could only watch as Ou Yang was pushed to the entrance of Area A.

The name of the protective suit at the entrance was written as Sergeant Miller. He took Ou Yang's information and raised his brows slightly: "Whose fever is this?"

"About a dozen or so," said Corporal Hyde, who was also wearing protective gear.

Sergeant Miller shrugged and was about to sign the document when another group of men in protective gear rushed over, escorting a struggling old man, pushing Ou Yang aside. This was an undisputed infected person; no formalities were required; he was sent directly to quarantine area A.

Witnessing this, Miller handed back the documents helplessly: "He just has a fever, just find a place to stay."

Corporal Hyde couldn't believe his ears. "Why? He has a fever. This is a sign of illness. He must be quarantined in Area A?"

"Because there's no extra room," Miller said, "find him a place in Section B, go ahead!"

"Okay then." Hyde agreed, sent Ou Yang to the corner of Area B, and found a camp bed for him to lie on.

Zhu Yiming quickly followed and grabbed Hyde to ask for fever-reducing medicine.

Hyde was also a kind-hearted person. He did not make things difficult for Zhu Yiming and readily found him some fever-reducing pills.

Zhu Yiming touched Ou Yang's forehead and felt it was even hotter.

He quickly helped Ou Yang up, fed him water and medicine, and then looked at his companion who was already unconscious with concern.

The others followed, but instinctively kept a safe distance.

Uncle Hu couldn't help but ask, "Xiao Zhu, aren't you afraid?"

"Is being afraid of anything useful?" Zhu Yiming curled his lips. "We've been together for such a long time, the infection would have already spread. Why are we still hiding now?"

That being said, others still didn't want to get close.

Zhu Yiming did not force it and stayed by Ou Yang's side alone.

His life was saved by Ou Yang. Now that Ou Yang is in trouble, how can he just ignore it?
Wouldn't that be repaying kindness with enmity?
The night came and went, and Zhu Yiming watched over the whole night without sleep.

The next morning, Ouyang still had a high fever, but not as hot as yesterday, which was a very positive sign.

Zhu Yiming got some food and fed it to Ou Yang mouthful by mouthful.

While sick, Ou Yang dreamed that he returned home and his mother had prepared a table full of delicious dishes, with a large plate of braised pork ribs placed in front of him.

He picked up a piece and put it in his mouth. The familiar taste made him happy: "It smells so good!"

Zhu Yiming was just stuffing a spoonful of porridge into Ou Yang's mouth when he was stunned when he heard this.

He scooped half a spoonful into his mouth and tasted it in confusion. It was tasteless and still as unpalatable as before!
This thing can barely fill your stomach, where's the fun in it?
I really don’t understand!
In the dream, his mother advised Ou Yang to slow down and asked with concern: "Son, you have been away for so long, why don't you find a girlfriend or something? I am still looking forward to having a grandchild. When I get older, I won't be able to help you take care of the child!"

"How dare I, a man of pure virtue, miss such a beautiful woman!" Ou Yang said vaguely, "How can I find a girlfriend when I'm neither high nor low?"

"Do you have a goal?" the mother asked again, "Don't think too much about it. If you meet a good girl, chase her first and then think about it!"

"What's the point of that? I do have a good friend, Zhu Yiming. We're close enough to risk our lives together!" Ou Yang said. "I've made an agreement with him to come visit me soon. When he does, I'll let him try the ribs you made..."

"That's great!" Mother agreed with a smile. "Hey, does your good friend have any suitable sisters? Ask him to introduce you to some."

"Mom, what the hell are you doing? Are you going to let me eat?"

The mother was immediately furious: "You unlucky child, how can you talk to your mother like that..."

Outside the dream, Zhu Yiming suddenly heard Ou Yang mumbling incoherently. He said several words in a row, but he couldn't hear a single word clearly. He only heard words like "girlfriend", "Zhu Yiming" and so on.

His eyes widened immediately. "What do you mean? I feed you and you drink, and you're actually greedy for my body?"

So you are such an Ouyang?
