Chapter 31 Dare again next time

Chapter 31 Dare again next time
The backstage lounge at the Civic Hall in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul.

"Ouni, take a break." Choi Sulli took Goo Hara's hand and asked her to sit on the sofa. "How do you feel? Are you okay?"

"It's okay, no problem." Goo Hara had a smile on her face, and the sadness between her eyebrows disappeared.

"That's good. You look so beautiful when you smile!" Choi Sulli hugged her with a smile, then stood up and walked out. "I'll get you a glass of water."

Just as she reached the door, it was pushed open. "Ah, Editor-in-Chief!"

Pei Yongjun just pushed the door open and walked in.

"Would you like some water? I'll pour you a glass too!"

Without waiting for his answer, Choi Sulli acquiesced and ran out briskly.

"Oh, this girl." Goo Hara and Bae Young-joon looked at each other and laughed.

"Haraxi, are you okay?" Pei Yongjun asked.

"Very good, very good." Goo Hara nodded.

"I'll have Eunkwang take you back to the hospital. Wait, he's driving and will be here soon. There's a back door here that you can exit directly." Bae Yongjun talked about the arrangements later. "Choi Jong-bum has been arrested and imprisoned. You may be asked to testify later. If you have any questions, you can come to me."

"I understand. The company can help with these matters. There's no need to trouble you anymore." Goo Hara nodded.

"Okay, the in-depth interview will be divided into two parts, and will be sent out on time at 10 am tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Chengzhu has already shown you the draft. Do you have any questions?"

"No."

Pei Yongjun nodded and looked at the message on his phone. The room became quiet for a while.

Goo Hara looked at Bae Young-joon, as if she was thinking about something.

After a moment of silence, she broke the silence, stood up and bowed deeply, "Editor-in-Chief, thank you so much for this time."

"You saved me and you saved Shirley."

She looked sincere and full of emotion, "I will never forget your kindness."

"A favor?" Pei Yongjun waved his hand. "That's not necessary. This is big news, and it's useful to me too."

"That's what journalists do, running around chasing hot topics, and sometimes they just do things as they please."

"I'm just a reporter, that's all."

"Just a reporter?" Goo Hara sat down, looked at Bae Yongjun, and shook her head. "You are not an ordinary reporter."

"Shirley always says you're a principled journalist, which is amazing."

"Really?" He smiled and put the phone aside. "What else did she say? She always cries in front of me, but I've never heard her say that."

"She's been saying a lot. She's been pestering me these past two days, saying this and that. She even said that your voice, the editor-in-chief, is..."

"Ouni!" The door suddenly opened.

Choi Sulli stood at the door, holding a glass of water in one hand.

"Ouni," she walked in quickly and brought a glass of water to Goo Hara's mouth, "Hurry up and drink some water. You're very thirsty."

Goo Hara glanced at her, blinked, and took the cup. "Okay, drink some water."

"Editor-in-chief nim." Choi Sulli took two steps and handed the other cup to Bae Yongjun.

Pei Yongjun took the cup of water and accidentally touched the delicate fingertips. He raised his head and saw a trace of panic flash in her eyes. He quickly lowered his head and pinched Goo Hara's collar with his hands.

Pei Yongjun's heart trembled, and his eyes looked at her slender and delicate wrist.

Buzz~buzz~
The phone rang.

"It's Eunkwang, the car is here."

Goo Hara, who had been silent just now, nodded and stood up. "Editor-in-Chief, let's go back to the hospital first."

Choi Sulli followed her and bowed to Bae Young-jun, and the two left the room. Goo Hara whispered something to Choi Sulli, and Choi Sulli shook her head desperately.

Pei Yongjun looked at the closed door, with Choi Sulli's look still lingering in his mind.

Like a shy little deer, it glances hurriedly through the woods.

After standing there for a while, Pei Yongjun sat back on the sofa, but as soon as he sat down, the door was pushed open again.

It's Choi Sulli.

"Shirley, what's wrong?"

"Ouni can't find something." Her eyes searched the room.

"What?" "A small wallet, light brown."

"Are you sitting at your seat?" Bae Yong-jun walked to where Goo Hara had just sat.

"Maybe?" Choi Sulli also came over.

He turned over the cushions and saw a small brown wallet in the gap.

"Is this it?" He picked up the wallet and looked up, only to find that Choi Sulli was staring at him.

"what happened?"

"You, you..." Choi Sulli's voice trembled a little.

"Hmm?" Pei Yongjun moved closer.

"Editor-in-Chief, what were you planning to do yesterday..." She lowered her eyes, "Can you tell me?"

"Hmm?" Pei Yongjun immediately understood what she was talking about, and the scene in the police station yesterday suddenly flashed back to his mind.

Slender neck and snow-white skin.

His eyes subconsciously slid down from her face, and the shallow hollow of her neck came into view.

"Does it look good?" Choi Sulli asked.

"very nice."

"Then, then yesterday..." Her voice trembled violently.

"Do you want to listen?" Pei Yongjun raised his eyes and looked into her sparkling eyes.

It was hard to tell whether it was perfume or cosmetics, but the alluring aroma slowly rose and lingered between the two of them, seeming close yet distant.

Pei Yongjun seemed to be able to hear his own heartbeat.

"I do." Choi Sulli nodded, looked at him, and subconsciously twisted her hands together.

"Really?"

"Really..." Choi Sulli's eyes suddenly widened and her body tensed up in an instant.

Pei Yongjun moved closer, then stopped beside her cheek and smiled, "Just like that..."

He paused.

Choi Sulli leaned towards him.

Warm lips touched her cheek.

The skin feels slightly cool, delicate and smooth.

"Editor-in-chief..." Her voice was as soft as a mosquito, and her warm and soft breath spread on Pei Yongjun's skin, "Is that it?"

He was speechless, his lips filled with the sweet taste of a young girl.

"Just treat this as yesterday."

"Next time..."

"Stop bullying me like this."

"You..." Pei Yongjun was stunned.

Choi Sulli has stood up.

"I'm leaving! Goodbye!" She snatched the wallet from Pei Yongjun's hand, ran to the door in a panic, and turned around.

"Pei, Pei..." Choi Sulli blurted out two words, but her earlobes suddenly turned red and she stammered, "I didn't cry all the time. I won't do that next time. I, I..."

"You look best when you smile." Pei Yongjun took over her words.

"I..." Choi Sulli looked at Pei Yongjun in panic with her big eyes, flashing with a light that made his heart throb.

"Don't tell unnie!" In the end, she didn't say anything and ran out without looking back.

Pei Yongjun followed her to the door and could only see her figure walking away in the corridor, with the throbbing from before still lingering in his heart.

It's jumping up and down.

"Next time..."
