Chapter 480 Autopsy Report
Several guards rushed forward and dragged Arturo, who was struck by the red lightning, to the energy gathering array with great effort. They pulled out a charging pipe and connected it to it with ease. After waiting for several minutes, the unfortunate dean of the Academy of Magic Sciences slowly woke up.

"Such a strong power impact..." Arturo stood up and muttered awkwardly.

"This type of lightning-like energy attack poses a huge threat to soldiers with flesh and blood, but it's useless against alchemical bodies made of enchanted metal... But it has also left you with some serious injuries." Harvey walked forward and pointed at the mottled scratches on the alchemical bodies of Arturo and Asdalen.

Chris boldly walked over from behind the steel shield and said curiously, "This guy struggled for a long time, and only managed this one attack. Isn't he too weak?"

Everyone quickly turned their attention back to the living alien creature tied to the experimental table and found that its struggling strength seemed to have weakened a lot. The rapidly bulging sacs on the sides of its ears shrank again, and it seemed to be even weaker than when it was frozen.

"Releasing red lightning will consume its vitality... or some kind of energy in its body that it relies on for survival?" Asdalen guessed.

Harvey nodded in agreement. "That should be the case. If the red light could be released freely and without restriction, they wouldn't have been captured alive."

In comparison, the alien monsters who are better at close combat and possess terrifying liquid weapons such as Black Water are obviously more powerful... Why do these red light monsters appear to have higher status?

Chris obviously shared Harvey's thoughts, frowning and muttering to himself, "If the Blackwater people are compared to bloodline warriors, and the Red Light people are compared to spellcasters..."

A thought suddenly flashed through Harvey's mind, and he blurted out, "Unless the liquid weapons that the Blackwater people rely on can only be produced by these red light people who are similar to spellcasters..."

Then it all makes sense!

He immediately asked his apprentice to bring over the Blackwater weapon canisters he had brought back, handing them over to Chris and Benoit, who were more skilled in material testing. They cleared a lab table and began extracting and testing on the spot...

"It's not an extract of magical minerals... nor does it contain any magical plant ingredients..."

"It doesn't even contain any active substances... How did those Blackwater people manipulate it to transform into crystal weapons at will?"

"No! This liquid reacts to magic!"

Benoit suddenly shouted excitedly, calling everyone to gather around and watch him slowly bring a drop of sticky black liquid extracted from the jar closer to the liquid magic energy that was always available in the laboratory. Almost instantly... the black liquid immediately flowed towards the liquid magic energy like iron meeting a magnet.

Finally, it blended in smoothly, and then the color gradually faded until it was completely integrated with the clear magic power.

"I roughly know how the exploration team was tracked and monitored by these alien races..." Harvey patted Benoit's shoulder and said with sudden realization.

This black water, which can be transformed into various solid crystal weapons, has a natural demon-attracting property!
The more powerful the surging magic power is, the more it becomes to their perception and detection, just like a light attracting moths, extremely conspicuous and dazzling in the dark night.

"Sir, look! This guy is dying!" Egno, who had been testing the experimental receptors, reminded loudly.

Harvey hurried forward to check and found that the red light monster had completely stopped struggling, and the deep red sac behind the ear had shriveled into a withered ball of flesh, and even the faintest twitching was gone.

The energy they used to unleash their red light attacks wasn't naturally possessed... but required repeated replenishment, similar to recharging. Once it was completely depleted, their lives would be gone. Harvey breathed a sigh of relief after reaching this conclusion.

"Chris, Egno, Benoit, and Arturo will conduct the death receptor dissection experiment..."

As soon as he finished speaking, Chris, who had been impatient for a long time, took the lead in Arturo and stood in the position of the surgeon on the laboratory table, the joy on his face could not be concealed at all.

……

The alien outpost sent from the legendary [Center of the Continent] to the frozen sea was obviously a low-level combat force for exploration, and was not much different from the ordinary soldiers of civilian origin under Harvey.

As the basic combat force of the same ethnic group, these alien races do not possess weapon technology and capabilities that are far superior to theirs. Whether it is the black water used as a cold weapon or the red lightning that can be released at a long distance, they can be effectively resisted by the relatively solid shield.

The red lightning is not even as powerful as the large-caliber sniper magic gun. At the same distance, the latter can easily penetrate the steel shield and has obviously better penetrating power.

If the two armies really faced off, within a distance of one thousand meters, Harvey felt that the thermal weapons enhanced with magic technology would be enough to crush these alien enemies covered in anti-magic shells, and the opponent's red lightning was obviously no match for the magic cannons with a strike range of thousands of meters. The throwing attacks of black crystal thorns and spears also needed to be within the firing range of rifles and machine guns before they could be carried out - by then they would have been torn to pieces by the dense rain of bullets.

Thinking of this, Harvey decided to expand the military factory again and significantly increase the production of ammunition for magic guns and cannons!
As long as the firepower is strong enough, all unknown fears will be solved!

……

The laboratory under the castle was brightly lit all night long. When daybreak came, Harvey, who was lying in bed unable to fall asleep, received the experimental report on time.

This freshly released autopsy report also surprised him immensely - the liquid weapons flexibly controlled by the Black Water Man were most likely transformed from the blood in the Red Light Man's body!
"How is this possible?" Harvey's mouth dropped open slightly as he looked at Chris and the others at the table, who were wolfing down their food to replenish their energy after a late night. "Draining blood to use as a weapon? Is this tribe crazy?"

Asdalen and Arturo, who didn't need to eat, sat nearby and patiently explained to Harvey, "We also find it incredible, but the results of the autopsy are incredibly close to the answer... They are indeed flesh and blood, but they have two blood circulation systems. One stores the same bright red fluid as us, and the other is filled with sticky black water..."

Harvey felt a little dizzy. The amphibious aliens he imagined... were not this kind of amphibious form that completely violated common sense and did not give any face to the theory of evolution!

"It's a pity these guys don't have language... otherwise I really want to find a way to pry open their mouths and learn from them how their tribe reproduces and evolves." Chris muttered without caring about his image, his mouth full of butter fried eggs.

Asdalen shook his head and denied it. "It's impossible for a group of intelligent creatures not to have evolved writing and language. I think they might not communicate using common sense [speech]... perhaps similar to the way birds, beasts, fish, or even insects communicate."

Benoit said blankly, "It should have made a sound! Look, from beginning to end, we cut it open... and it was as quiet as a mute."

Even a mute knows how to howl...
