Chapter 108 Reappearance (Please subscribe)

"Recent events on Macragge have reminded me of this book, which my father used to read to me before bed," said Guilliman.

"In the ancient country of Terra called Denmark, a ghost walked on the walls of the palace. It wanted to convey a message to the prince, telling him about the great changes that would take place in the country."

"Then, are the ghosts we see at this moment also some kind of warning and revelation? I don't know, but it is not impossible."

Guilliman leaned back in his chair, looking at the paintings and the clock on the wall.

suddenly.

The Thinker on the table, which was once used by King Connor, began to beep.

The gentle atmosphere in the room instantly disappeared in the rapid sound of the alarm. The director of the think tank put away the data tablet, stood up and waited for orders.

Guilliman ignored the Thinker's alarm. He quickly rushed to the window and looked at the dark sky through the transparent glass.

In the sky obscured by the Ruinstorm, a shining star was showing its existence to everyone. It was the only one, and it was the first star to appear in the sky two years after the Ruinstorm began to rage.

This was obviously not an ordinary thing, something had happened.

Guilliman noted the star's position in his notebook: rising in the eastern sky between the peaks of Mount Kaluut and Mount Andromach.

Luo Xi glanced at his notes, only to find that the pages were already filled with records, the earliest of which was fifteen minutes ago.

The Primarch's observation was more acute than the Thinker's observation system. He had already discovered it and had been silently recording the detailed information.

"Emperor, it must be something that can carry messages across the warp storms. Is it one of my loyal brothers warning me? Or is it my father's call?"

As Roboute pondered, his thoughts naturally diverged, and each divergent thought led to more plans and backup plans. The Primarch imagined all possibilities in order to gain the upper hand before finding out the mysterious twinkling star.

Two years had passed since this terrible betrayal. Roboute had never let go of his hatred for Lorgar and Horus. He was eager to punish them for their betrayal.

However, the Ultramarines were bound in the Far East by the destructive storm created by the enemy, and this satisfying revenge was delayed.

He longed for the shining star to bring about some good changes.

It could be a little light, or it could be a beacon.

Someone knocked on the door, making a soft thumping sound.

"Please come in."

An elegant lady in a long dress walked in. It was Ms. Youton.

She glanced at the number of people in the room and focused her attention on Guilliman.

"My lord, the ghost has appeared again."

-

When the Lord of the Palace delivered the news that the ghost had appeared again, Guilliman immediately walked out of the room and rushed to the scene.

A group of Central Guards wearing silver-grey uniforms and cobalt blue cloaks followed behind the Primarch, led by Commander Badorum.

The places where ghosts appear belong to their jurisdiction. In Guilliman's inner court, in addition to being guarded by the Ever-Victorious Army, more space must be left to the mortal guards to patrol.

This elite guard has protected the inner court since the reign of King Connor, and they still perform their duties today.

Ms. Youton walked in front. She looked thinner than she was two years ago. Although her temperament had not changed much, Luo Xi still noticed subtle signs of aging.

For a mortal, two years is enough time for many changes to occur. Guilliman followed behind his adoptive mother. Although he was anxious, he did not push Lady Euden away, but walked at her pace.

In the corridor of the hydroponic garden, a group of people walked in the darkness, and no one turned on the lights for fear that it would disturb the possible ghosts.

The familiar sound of the Soltiri harp came again, the long and sad melody expressed sorrow, but more importantly, the echo brought by the sound of the harp. The hydroponic garden was very large, and Guilliman was sure that the sound waves would not echo here.

The echo did not come from Macragge, nor from the inner court.

"Who was the first to discover it? What did you see?" Guilliman asked, looking at Badrum, the commander of the guards in the area.

"It was Klennart, he was here at the time." The commander called out a guard and immediately asked him to report the situation to the primarch.

A soldier was marching out of line, taking off his helmet.

"Sir, we were on patrol, just like usual. But today we heard some strange noises. I thought it was some small animal living in the garden, but it wasn't. It was some music that I didn't quite understand."

"Look me in the eyes, soldier," said Guilliman.

Then the guard raised his head as high as possible and looked directly into Guilliman's eyes at close range.

Under the watchful eyes of the Primarch, there was no way he could lie or conceal details, although these loyal guards would not do such a thing.

"I also saw a tall shadow that emerged from the shadows." The guard described what he saw. "It was very real. I thought it might be a real giant, but there was nothing."

"What was it wearing? Do you remember?" Guilliman demanded.

The guard described the details he saw. The Primarch thought for a second and said to Roshi, "It's not our Star-type power armor, but the old-fashioned Mark power armor."

"How big is it? Can I have a reference?"

Klennart hesitated for a moment, and finally pointed to Prieto Titus, who was following behind Guilliman.

As tall as the Librarian of the Ultramarines, he was undoubtedly a Space Marine. Guilliman discarded assumptions such as Ogryn's and continued to narrow down his suspects.

"Can you scan the area for psychic energies?" Guilliman asked.

The think tank director mobilized his psychic power and scanned the hydroponic garden inside and out. He answered the Primarch's question somewhat helplessly: "Sorry, there is no trace of psychic energy here, and the psychic sensors here have not sounded an alarm."

"No psychic powers."

Guilliman took a bolter from Prieto and headed toward the interior of the garden.

The mortal guards around him wanted to step forward to clear the way, but were stopped by the director of the think tank.

The Primarch's will was firm, and he did not need the Ever-Victorious Army or the Guards to follow him.

Guilliman walked into the depths of the hydroponic garden with gun in hand.

This palace garden was very warm and humid, with gurgling water flowing through some ancient pipes, watering the plants and flowers here. The original body's sensitive sense of smell could smell the acidification of humus.

The Primarch smelled the workers and servitors responsible for maintaining the plants. It was the smell left over from the day, the weathering of rocks, the rusting of metals, and every subtle smell could not escape Superman's senses.

As Guilliman approached, the sound of the Solteri began to grow louder, along with the unknown echo.

A strong intuition told Guilliman that the target he had been pursuing for a long time was in the vegetation before him.
