Chapter 70: Nice to meet you, Lord of the World
Chapter 70: Nice to meet you, Lord of the World
No one knew when Angron arrived at the battlefield, and even with the continuous scanning of thousands of bird servants, no trace of this Primarch was found.
He seemed to be teleported to this battlefield by some kind of witchcraft power, and the Lord of the World immediately locked onto the key figure in the destruction of Amatra.
"Go away!"
Angron said so.
"No!"
Faced with the contemptuous words from the Gene Father, Kahn's heart surged with anger and courage. He stared at Angron and even swung his battle axe to stop his Gene Father.
However, he was casually swept to the edge of the battlefield by the huge figure that looked like an ancient Titan.
Kahn's huge body crossed half of the battlefield like a cannonball from the Emperor's Poison Blade. He smashed the human bodies and steel vehicles that blocked his way. The gap between the two sides was not something that could be filled by the so-called enchantment ritual.
The Primarchs are extraordinary creatures created by the Emperor, and they have a life essence that is completely different from that of ordinary beings.
Many people believe that the Primarch is a god walking on earth, and this is not groundless.
The roaring Angron was like a monster that had walked out of the deepest nightmare. The Blood Father and Blood Son were surging in his hands. He stared at Orfeo and uttered words.
"He belongs to me!"
Facing the murderous intent of the World Eaters Primarch that was coming at him like a raging wave, even Orfeo's expression froze, and his face beneath his helmet lost its color, but he then used his unparalleled willpower to dispel the pressure exerted by the opponent.
Not even Angron could bring him to his knees.
"retreat!"
The predetermined commands were triggered in the helmets of the Ever-Victorious Army. These fiercely fighting Extreme Warriors quickly broke away from their own battles and rushed towards the commander's position with a desperate attitude.
The Extreme Marines further out also repeated the order to retreat. They covered their battle brothers and even took the enemy's brutal attacks for them.
As lives continued to pass away, Orfeo, under the cover of his victorious army guards, quickly evacuated to a collapsed ruin area. This was once an important historical site in Amatra, where ancient buildings from before the long night stood.
But now, only ruins are left.
Furious, Angron noticed that his desired prey was about to escape his sight, and immediately dropped everything and chased after it.
"Die you abomination!"
One of the Ever-Victorious Warriors swung his power sword straight at Angron's leg armor, the crackling disintegration field about to slice through the cables and plates of the leg, slowing the World Eater's pursuit.
However, Angron used the same terrifying force as he had done to Khârn, and the old soldier of the Ever-Victorious Army was sent flying with a casual blow. Although this did not kill him, it did defeat his purpose.
However, more Extreme Marines were rushing over desperately. Even without changing into their adamantium armor, they still rushed to Angron and used their flesh and blood to block the advancing monster for even a second.
Even if it only allowed him to swing one more axe, even if it only distracted his attention for a moment.
It's all worth it.
Angron went upstream in the crowd of Ultramarines. His chainsaw axes had already reaped the lives of dozens of Ultramarines. Their bodies were cut into flesh and blood by the violent chainsaws, and the shattered armor turned into shrapnel that penetrated deeply into the burning soil.
Those Ultramarines wearing ceramic steel power armor used their own lives to break a tooth on the chain axe. In front of the Primarch, they were as fragile as clay sculptures and could even be torn into pieces by bare hands.
Finally, the beast broke free from the obstruction of the Extreme Warriors and followed Orfeo's trail into a huge half-collapsed building.
The accumulation of ceramic steel and plastic steel was not completely destroyed even by the artillery fire on the battlefield. It just collapsed and broke apart, like a mountain range that had existed since time immemorial.
Angron's eyes ignored the darkness before him, and he could feel the small creature getting closer and closer.
He could not escape it. Nothing could escape Angron's presence.
The Nucerian recalled the painful memory of being pursued by the high-ranking riders. He and his brothers and sisters had fled deep into the mountains, relying on terrain and surprise to ambush the slavers. Was the enemy planning an ambush? A thought flashed through Angron's mind.
But then he put it out of his mind, and the Butcher's Nails punished him for his distraction.
Until he reached the deepest part of the ruins, where Orfeo and his victorious guards were waiting for him.
There is only one dead end here.
"You blasphemous monster, you have betrayed the Emperor and your brothers." Orfeo scolded.
“Is this your last words?” Surprisingly, Angron did not continue to be angry. In the deep darkness, he stared at the Extreme Marine in front of him. For some reason, his subconscious was giving a warning.
The Ever-Victorious Army used explosive bombs and plasma as they moved closer to Angron, unleashing their deadly weapon beams upon the World Eater Lord.
Angron laughed, mocking the feeble ants who would try to harm a Primarch.
The battle axe tore through the air. Although Angron had never learned to use the battle axe systematically, his Primarch's talent still enabled him to develop extremely sophisticated martial arts skills.
The dancing battle axe came like a storm of destruction, and the ever-victorious soldiers standing in front of it were immediately knocked away.
The ever-victorious soldiers did not hesitate at all. They suddenly threw away their weapons and released all the energy from the power backpacks installed behind them.
One after another, the victorious soldiers threw themselves upon Angron, clinging to the beast's power armor, legs, abdomen, back, arms, every part of their bodies showing the rooted temperament of an Extreme Warrior ready to die.
The furious Angron smashed the Ever-Victorious Army's helmet with his fists without reservation. His anxiety increased, and his brute force even penetrated the heavy protection, directly shaking the Ever-Victorious Army's brain tissue into a pulp.
The unreserved Angron was even more terrifying than the first time they met. The armor made of strong interaction material trembled under his fists, and more cracks were emerging.
From a physical point of view, it is impossible to use pure physical strength to break this armor that locks the atoms to obtain extreme defense.
But the Primarchs were never simply products of genetic technology; the Emperor also added something even more incredible to them.
But now, it's too late.
Orfeo took a last look at the twelve Ever-Victorious Soldiers who were holding Angron back. They were the most powerful veterans in the Legion, and had fought in the galaxy for many years since the time when the Primarch had not yet returned.
They have been accompanying the Regent of Amatra for countless years, always following him like a shadow.
They are Orfeo's subordinates and his close comrades-in-arms.
And now, they will sacrifice their last lives for Orfeo's plan without hesitation.
An antimatter furnace more powerful than the adamantium armor is burning. A terrifying amount of antimatter is being forced to overload. When they react with the ubiquitous positive matter, everything will turn into nothingness.
Orfeo took a few steps back, his power armor flashing with a teleportation beam, and under the guidance of the teleportation beacon, the regent of Amatra cut off all his attachments and returned to the position.
As for those victorious armies, they were also able to activate the teleportation beacon and directly escape from the battlefield that was about to turn into nothingness.
But no one made this choice.
They bound Angron tightly in place, using backpacks spewing plasma to exert tremendous force to lock Angron, and the Ever-Victorious Army waited for the antimatter furnace to completely get out of control.
The ever-victorious leader at the head of the army stared through his helmet at Angron, who was struggling to escape.
His hoarse voice seemed to be still coughing up blood, and he suddenly laughed out loud.
"Nice to meet you, Lord of the World Devourer."
