The Great Snow Mountain is a Buddhist sacred place second only to Lingshan Mountain and is a peaceful place.

If the Buddha had not said that Lingshan still had the fruit position of Fighting Buddha, they would have refused long ago.

At this moment, the Tathagata Buddha still smiled peacefully and praised: "Fighting Victory Buddha is increasingly understanding the true meaning of fighting victory. The day when my Dharma will spread far and wide is near!"

Upon hearing this, the monks' expressions quickly returned to normal, and they chanted, "Amitabha, well done, well done."

At this time, the Jade Emperor said in a deep voice: "Sun Wukong, stop being rude. Quickly release the troops and call Tathagata and the monks over."

"Hehe, Your Majesty, this is a gift for Mr. Tathagata." Sun Wukong said with a smile, and then asked Yuan Hong to lead the Xuantian tribe to retreat to the sides of the imperial carriage.

The Tathagata Buddha in front then led the monks to the front of the imperial carriage to welcome him respectfully.

Tathagata bowed and said, "This old monk greets the Great Celestial Venerable."

The Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Venerables, and Arhats followed suit and bowed: "We pay our respects to His Majesty the Jade Emperor."

The Jade Emperor simply nodded slightly and said, "Thank you for welcoming me, Tathagata."

Tathagata continued, "The Great Snow Mountain is a bitterly cold place. We can only prepare a small banquet. Please condescend to come, Great Celestial Venerable."

The Jade Emperor then got off the chariot and asked Sun Wukong and Taibai Jinxing to accompany him, while the other immortal officials and generals followed behind. The rest of the heavenly soldiers were still lined up in an orderly manner in the void.

When they reached the top of the snowy mountain, they saw ripples in a clear holy spring and various strange beasts carrying flowers and fruits as offerings.

Although there was no wine, drink or meat on the tables spread out in all directions, there were hundreds of flowers and thousands of exotic fruits, all of which were rare and magical items.

"This Buddha also knows how to speak politely. He says it's a small banquet, but in fact it's a rare banquet in the world." Sun Wukong scratched his hand.

Of course, compared with the Peach Banquet, this was indeed a small banquet.

When taking their seats, the Jade Emperor naturally sat in the main seat, and Tathagata sat in the upper seat on the left.

Then they will be ranked in order.

But before everyone started to sit down, Tathagata said, "Fighting Victory Buddha, you worked hard to protect the holy monk on his journey west to obtain the true scriptures. Our Buddhist sect is now flourishing. You have made great contributions. Come and sit next to me."

Upon hearing this, the faces of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Venerables and Arhats all changed.

Is this a public acknowledgment of the Fighting Buddha's status in Buddhism in front of the Emperor of Heaven and all the immortals in heaven?

Sun Wukong also understood the mystery. He sneered in his heart, but said with a joking smile on his face: "Master Tathagata, my master is standing right behind you, how can I sit on him?
Besides, I am no longer the Fighting Buddha, but the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, the North Pole Spiritual Lord!

From now on, my discussions with you will be personal."

At the end of his speech, he bowed to all the Buddhist monks.

All the monks could hear that this was a way to draw a clear line between themselves and Buddhism.

The master that Wukong mentioned, Master Sandalwood Merit Buddha Tripitaka, was standing behind Tathagata.

Master Sanzang sighed and advised, "Wukong, please come back as soon as possible. Lingshan needs you, and so does Buddhism."

Sun Wukong laughed and said, "Master, you drove me away on the journey to obtain the scriptures, and now you want me to come back? Could it be that after becoming a Buddha, Master has also learned to be hypocritical and forgotten his original intention?"

Master Tripitaka shook his head, chanted "Amitabha", and said no more.

The monks all looked unhappy, for the sarcasm in Sun Wukong's words was obvious. But before they could speak, the Emperor of Heaven in the main seat slowly said, "The Supreme Being of the Spiritual Heaven guards the North Pole of Heaven and Earth. According to the hierarchy, he may now sit in the upper right position."

As soon as these words came out, everyone in the audience was shocked.

Almost all the immortal officials and generals who were originally watching the excitement in Buddhism changed their expressions.

Sitting on the right of the Emperor of Heaven, it means that Lingming Tianzun is the second most powerful being after Tathagata Buddha!

The Buddha's expression did not change, he just smiled and nodded slightly.

The expressions on the faces of the Buddhist monks were very complicated. Some were shocked, some were sighing, and some lowered their heads to hide the hatred in their eyes.

"Hehe." Sun Wukong saw all of this and then sat down to the right of the Emperor of Heaven without any hesitation.

Because in terms of rank, he was the third most respected god present.

There are indeed other Buddhas in Buddhism, including Guanyin Bodhisattva, who is one of the Five Elders in Heaven.

But he is the North Pole Lingming Zun who guards the North Pole of heaven and earth, and has 200,000 heavenly soldiers and generals under his command.

His status in the North Pole of Heaven is second only to the Emperor Ziwei of the North Pole of the Central Sky. It can be said that he is no worse than the Five Elders of the Five Directions!

Afterwards, Guanyin sat below Tathagata, and Master Tripitaka sat below Sun Wukong.

There were also Taibai Jinxing, Manjusri, Samantabhadra and others, who took their seats in turn.

Before the banquet began, Tathagata first said some pleasantries and then the Jade Emperor announced the start of the meal.

But few people actually started eating.

Everyone knows that the Emperor of Heaven definitely did not come here on his western tour to have this fruit banquet.

As expected, Tathagata said, “When Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva passed away last time, I wanted to explain everything to the Great Celestial Venerable in person, but I was not summoned, so I couldn’t leave.

Fortunately, the Great Celestial Venerable has come in person, and this old monk feels extremely honored and terrified.

Dizang's obsession led him to become a demon, leaving the power of the underworld vacant and the netherworld without control. This is truly a great sin."

Hearing this, all the monks looked sad and chanted in unison, "Buddha has mercy on us."

Sun Wukong sneered. This guy didn't mention a single word about why Dizang became a demon.

Seeing the Monkey King's sullen expression, Master Sanzang sighed, "Wukong, merits are merits, faults are faults..."

Sun Wukong quickly raised his hand to interrupt him: "Master, please stop reciting the sutras. I am no longer a Buddhist monk. Just hearing this gives me a headache."

The conversation between the two also disrupted the sad atmosphere of the monks chanting the Buddha's compassion.

At this time, the Jade Emperor said again: "The merits and demerits of our predecessors will be judged by future generations. I will not mention this matter today."

Tathagata Buddha raised his palms with one hand and recited Amitabha.

The monks looked at each other but didn't dare to say anything.

Just as the atmosphere was about to cool, Guanyin Bodhisattva bowed solemnly to the Jade Emperor and said, "Your Majesty, the Netherworld is the place where all souls reincarnate. If it continues to be mismanaged, it may affect the order of the three realms. We must select a suitable candidate as soon as possible to take over the power of the Netherworld."

The Jade Emperor seemed to be interested and asked, "Does Guanyin Bodhisattva have a suitable candidate?"

Guanyin Bodhisattva was somewhat embarrassed, but still said, "I dare to recommend that Sandalwood Merit Buddha take over the authority of the underworld."

When these words were spoken, the monks who were unaware of the situation, as well as the many immortal officials and generals who were accompanying him, including Taibai Jinxing, were all shocked.

Master Tripitaka is in charge of the underworld?
