But when everyone heard that Fighting Buddha had thrown away his robes and announced in public that he would no longer be a Buddha, all their previous thoughts disappeared, and they were all in disbelief, and many people were even angry.

Venerable Ananda gnashed his teeth and said, "That's the Buddhahood that so many people desire but cannot obtain! And he just says he doesn't want it? How arrogant!"

Venerable Kasyapa sneered and said, "He threw away his robes in public and treated my Buddhist status as a piece of trash. This is really disrespectful.

If this gets out, the three realms will probably laugh at our Buddhist sect for having no dignity and saying it's a place where people can come and go as they please!

Bodhisattva Weituo's eyes widened in anger: "Buddha, you must severely punish those who betray your religion! Suppress them again and let the three realms know the majesty of our Buddhist sect!"

Remarks like these were heard one after another in the main hall.

When Guanyin heard this, she sighed silently in her heart. It turned out that she was not the only one who cared about gains and losses, but everyone was unable to let go.

The Tathagata Buddha sat high above the hall. After listening for a while, he slowly spoke, "Buddha, have mercy on me."

The roar was so powerful, like the roar of a mountain or a tsunami, it echoed in the magnificent hall, drowning out all the angry words.

After the monks fell silent, the Tathagata said, "Remember, the harm of anger is worse than a violent storm, and no Tathagata can save you."

The monks who had been angry just now looked at each other, and immediately chanted Amitabha one by one, and soon became compassionate and kind again.

The main hall has returned to its solemnity.

The Tathagata continued, "The Avatamsaka Sutra says, 'To know the truth about all conditioned phenomena is false and deceptive, and to deceive ordinary people for a moment.

You are already at Mount Lingshan, yet you are rashly angry. This is because your six senses are not yet pure. You should remember to keep your mind still. Only by eliminating attachments can you attain the Bodhi mind."

The monks lowered their heads and listened to the teachings.

Tathagata continued, "I, the Buddha, teach that the four elements are empty, but all things are empty, except cause and effect.

Everything that happens today has cause and effect.

In order to uphold justice, the Fighting Buddha disregarded all obstacles, ascended to heaven, fought against all parties, and won the battle, which is the Fighting Buddha's victory.

And the robes he discarded are just like the obsession of you and all living beings.

Everyone, to discard is to let go, which is Wukong.

Therefore, he has truly realized Buddhahood and is now the Fighting and Victorious Buddha.

We should celebrate and wait for him to return to his place, so that he can help our Dharma spread far and wide, illuminate the three realms, and overcome all disasters."

Hearing this, the monks' eyes were filled with enthusiasm, and they all said in unison: "Amitabha, well done, well done."

Guanyin's eyes lit up and she secretly praised him, saying that he was worthy of being the Buddha.

Yes, who said that Wukong is not the Fighting Buddha?

What he says doesn't count!

Afterwards, Tathagata did not let Guanyin continue speaking, and they went to the back hall again.

In addition, Manjushri, Samantabhadra and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattvas were accompanying them, and Kashyapa and Ananda were standing outside the hall.

After everyone took their seats, Tathagata asked, "What happened next?"

Guanyin raised her palm and said, "Wukong... Fighting Buddha continues to seek justice for the Dragon King of Jing River. Yuan Shoucheng has also joined the game, presented the Shadow God Map, and voluntarily asked for death.

The Emperor of Heaven ultimately sentenced the Water Virtue Star Lord and the Life Star Lord to eternal reincarnation..."

Next, she told the story of how Sun Wukong was named the Northern Spiritual Heavenly Lord and won the positions of the two main gods, as well as the disputes at that time.

Except for Tathagata, everyone else could not hide their shock after hearing this.

The North Pole Lingming Lord who holds the power of killing?

The two main gods who control the fate of all spirits and the water power of the world? It has only been a short time, and Fighting Buddha has obtained such authority!

Although the Monkey King has long been the highest official, without real power in his hands, who would really take it seriously?

If it weren't for the Fighting Buddha's extraordinary martial arts power, he would have become a laughing stock long ago.

Among the seven saints of the demon world, apart from the Monkey King, who else has achieved the same prestige and fame as the Monkey King?
Even the Bull Demon King rarely mentions that he is the Great Sage Pingtian.

Several Bodhisattvas were moved, while the two venerables, Kashyapa and Ananda, who heard this outside the temple, found it hard to believe.

Both of them felt a little regretful that they shouldn't have taken the lead in saying those words in public.

But who knew that the Buddha didn't even have the slightest thought of punishment.

Now that I know about the changes in Fighting Buddha, it is too late to regret!
At this time, Tathagata nodded and smiled, saying, "Not only has Fighting Victory Buddha attained enlightenment and liberation, but he has also earned such great fortune for himself and the Altar Purifier. This is truly a cause for celebration!"

Guanyin, Manjusri, Samantabhadra, and Mahasthamaprapta, the four Bodhisattvas, looked at each other and said, "Let us congratulate the Fighting Buddha..."

Tathagata then nodded and asked Guanyin, "Is Yuan Shoucheng the fortune teller who disappeared that year?"

Guanyin said, "That's right. I reflected on this on my way back and guessed there must be someone behind Yuan Shoucheng. This person is familiar with my style of doing things, so that's why he sent Yuan Shoucheng to approach me.

Moreover, this person was far-sighted and had planned what would happen today, so he created the Shadow God Map to record it.

Furthermore, the Fighting Buddha could clearly know the location of the Ghost Dragon of the Jing River, so this must have been his plan."

Tathagata's expression remained unchanged as he smiled and said, "It seems he is a big shot."

Guanyin asked, "Even the Buddha doesn't know who he is?"

Tathagata shook his head: "I don't know, but since the other party has started to make moves, it will reveal a flaw sooner or later."

Ananda asked outside the temple, "Buddha, since Yuan Shoucheng is a Taoist fortune teller, could this be the work of the Chan Sect?"

Mahasthamaprapta's expression changed. In fact, he also wanted to ask this question. After all, after Buddhism was introduced to the East, it was competing with the Chan school for popularity.

At this moment, only the three great Bodhisattvas, Guanyin, Manjushri and Samantabhadra, remained motionless.

The Tathagata smiled and said, "The spread of Buddhism to the East and its great prosperity are all determined by the will of Heaven. The teachings follow the will of Heaven. How dare we go against it?"

Mahasthamaprapta, Kashyapa and Ananda all suddenly understood.

Guanyin, however, was still worried and asked, "Buddha, since this is the destiny of heaven, it is now in danger of being shaken. How can we resolve this?"

Tathagata put away his smile and said sternly, "Everything must go through some hardships, only then can we show that my Dharma is like true gold that is not afraid of fire.

As long as we follow the will of heaven and earth, take it as our responsibility to relieve disasters and benefit all living beings, and with a compassionate heart and ruthless methods, we will be able to defeat all evil spirits and demons."

Everyone's expression became solemn, and they all said, "Buddha, have mercy on us!"

Tathagata continued, "I originally thought that I should welcome the Emperor of Heaven's Western Tour with a normal heart, but now that Ksitigarbha has passed away, the underworld cannot be without a master for a day, so I must make careful preparations.

You need to tidy up the place and not lose its dignity."

Everyone should be.

Before leaving, Guanyin suddenly said, "Buddha, I have a candidate who may be able to take over the reins of the underworld from Dizang."

Tathagata said expressionlessly, "Tell me."

Guanyin said solemnly: "Sandalwood Merit Buddha!"

Tathagata smiled: "That's exactly what I want."

Manjushri, Samantabhadra and Mahasthamaprapta all lowered their heads and concealed their expressions.

Kasyapa and Ananda looked at each other, both filled with secret hatred.
