Mystery: Big Alarm Clock Ghroth Path

Chapter 14: Mr. Wheel of Fortune's Intelligence

Chapter 14: Mr. Wheel of Fortune's Intelligence
"Wheel of Fortune..."

Audrey and Alger both silently recited the Major Arcana card chosen by Roger.

According to Roger's low-key personality, he originally wanted to choose a card with a serial number as late as possible and no owner in the original book.

But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that these guys under Mr. Fool seemed to have some indescribable problems...

The cards they chose were one behind the other!
What about the three fools of the sun, moon and stars, temperance, judgment... even the last card "World" has become the private domain of Klein's vest.

Although this was just a coincidence, considering that many people in his previous life had called Klein, the head of the Tarot Club, a "coward," it was hard for Roger not to criticize him inwardly.

In contrast, the most insignificant Ms. Magician actually ended up being the one with the highest number. This might also explain why she became Mr. Fool's "chosen" angel...

Apart from the "Tower" which he did not like very much, and the two cards "Death" and "Devil" which sounded a bit evil, the "Wheel of Fortune" at the 10th position in the sequence became Roger's best choice.

After all, this card is synonymous with "good luck" in the mysterious world.

Hearing Roger's choice, "The Fool" at the head of the bronze table nodded slightly, seemingly approving of this code name.

The meeting officially began. According to the agreement from the previous gathering, Audrey and Alger provided Mr. Fool with three copies of Emperor Russell's diary in return for knowledge of "acting method."

"Mr. Fool, can you understand Emperor Roselle's strange symbols?"

Watching Audrey and Alger writing notes in the gray fog, Roger asked curiously.

Klein almost couldn't help but twitch his lips when he heard this.

"Is he pretending not to understand? Or is he really not a time traveler?"

At this moment, he really wanted to become a "spectator" and try to figure out Roger's true thoughts.

Klein calmly tapped his brows twice and looked at Roger with his spiritual vision.

"...filled with anxiety and restlessness, probably eager to know the contents of the notes."

But Klein was a little disappointed because he couldn't tell anything from this little piece of information.

After all, whether it is a time traveler or a local native, everyone has a reason to want to read Russell's diary.

Roger knew that Klein would use his clairvoyance to examine him, so he used his "troublemaker" ability to reversely suggest himself into an anxious state.

This is a new ability gained after thoroughly digesting the "Conspicuous Package" potion.

According to Roger's guess, this ability should symbolize that he is spiritually prepared to accept the transformation of the Sequence 8 "Noisy One" potion.

"Yes."

Mr. Fool, who was standing above the gray fog, nodded slightly and began to read Russell's diary.

After a while, Klein put down the three pieces of paper with a feeling of reluctance.

There was certainly a lot of valuable information in the diary, but what he found even more interesting was the romantic affairs of Russell, the senior time traveler.

There's a saying on Earth: It's easy to learn good things, but it's easy to learn bad things. Klein silently warned himself to learn from history and never cause a fool's house collapse.

Seeing that Mr. Fool had finished reading the diaries, Audrey asked for more details about the "acting method".

Although Roger knew all the relevant knowledge, he still patiently listened to the other party's explanation.

During this process, he consciously relaxed himself and made some movements such as leaning forward and supporting his chin with one hand.

This time, Audrey successfully captured Roger's subtle movements. She had already been shocked by the details of the "acting method" and couldn't help but fall into new doubts.

"From Mr. Wheel of Fortune's actions, he seems to know how to act. Who is he?"

You have to know that this knowledge is a secret that Mr. "The Hanged Man", a senior Beyonder who is at least at Sequence 8 or even Sequence 7, does not know. How could "Wheel of Fortune", as a new member, know it?
When Audrey thought of this, she couldn't help but develop a strong interest in Roger.

Soon, as the topic of the gathering progressed to the stage of information sharing, Roger, who had been listening, suddenly spoke up:
"I have two things I want to share."

Hearing the newly joined "Wheel of Fortune" take the initiative to bring up the topic, Audrey and Alger both looked at him curiously.

"First, the Aurora Society recently gathered over 100 ordinary citizens near a dock near the Tussock River, but they didn't kill them. Does anyone know what happened?"

Roger deliberately blurred the location to prevent Alger and the others from deducing his whereabouts.

Klein was also quite interested in this matter. Because his confidentiality level was not high enough and he had no way of knowing the inside story, he was secretly praising Roger and listening attentively.

Upon hearing this, Alger nodded and took the initiative to take over the conversation:
“As far as I know, the Aurora Society has done two such things before.

"One attempt was unsuccessful and was stopped by official forces. In another, all the victims were killed and severely deformed. The whereabouts of the murderer remain unknown. I don't know anything else."

"Alienation... It seems to be related to either the 'True Creator' or the path of the secret praying people. Could it be a requirement for some kind of ascension ritual?"

Roger seemed to be thinking about something. He nodded and talked about the second thing:
"The second incident is related to the 'Witch Cult'."

Witch Cult? What is that?
Klein's interest was also piqued. He was very interested in the information about this secret organization. He really didn't expect that his neighbor knew such information.

Alger and Audrey also leaned forward slightly, showing curiosity.

"An 'instigator' has arrived in Loen. He was recruited by the secretive Witch Cult, promoted to 'witch,' and involved in a major operation in Backlund."

Roger said it calmly, as if he was talking about a trivial matter.

However, this sentence caused collective shock to the other three people because they all noticed the change in the third person in Roger's narration.

Although the distinction between male and female parts of speech in Loen is not as widespread as in Intis, the gender of the person being discussed can still be identified through the third-person pronouns "he" and "she".

The word "witch" refers to women in almost every culture in the Northern Continent. The so-called conversion from "he" to "she", if it is not a slip of the tongue, reveals an enormous amount of information.

As an official Beyonder of the Church of Storms, Alger figured out many things that had previously puzzled him in a very short period of time.
