Mystery: Big Alarm Clock Ghroth Path

Chapter 418 The Bet with Trensoust

Chapter 418 The Bet with Trensoust
Roger smiled and said:
"Please do not punish me if I say anything that displeases you."

“After all, there are the prohibitions you set here, so I can’t lie, but the truth is often not pleasant to hear.”

"Speaking the truth here will not cost you anything."

"Night Emperor" Terence nodded and uttered a statement that could influence the rules.

"Thank you, Your Majesty."

Roger bowed again before saying:
"Towards the end of this era, you fought a great battle against three emperors: the Black Emperor, the Underworld Emperor, and the Blood Emperor. This battle is known in history as the War of the Four Emperors."

"Oh? So we really have started a war."

Trenshorst seemed to have anticipated this; He nodded, and then asked:
"Who's winning?"

"The Underworld Emperor".

Roger sighed and looked regretful:
"You and the other two kings..."

He stopped there and began to carefully observe Trensoust's reaction.

Roger decided that if Terence couldn't withstand the onslaught of information, he would use the "Original Core" to try and get to the "De La Hoya Giant Rat" first, in order to avoid being killed by the other party.

"I am dead?"

Trensust paused, as if he had thought of something, and fell into a state of uncertainty and confusion once again.

At this moment, the palace of the "Night Emperor" began to tremble slightly. This tremor seemed to originate from the realm of rules, so much so that Roger was momentarily unsteady on his feet.

"Is your understanding being shaken...?"

Roger felt a chill run down his spine. He kept his head down and avoided making eye contact with Terence.

"...So Salinger is ruling the world now?"

"Night Emperor" Terence gritted his teeth and asked.

"No."

Roger shook his head:

"He fell at the end of this era."

Having said that, he noticed that Trensault's expression seemed to have improved somewhat, and then continued:
"The Second Solomon Empire, the Tudor Dynasty, and your empire later underwent a reorganization and split, splitting into a number of countries such as the Kingdom of Rune, the Empire of Fusak, the Kingdom of Intis, and the Kingdom of Feneport."

"As for the Southern Continent, it has become a colony of the Northern Continent. Currently, the Byron Empire has split into East and West Byron, which are mainly managed by the Kingdom of Rune and the Republic of Intis—that is, the contemporary Kingdom of Intis."

Terence's expression changed:

"The Kingdom of Rune...who is their king?"

"Your Majesty, the current King of the Kingdom of Rune is Govington Augustus II."

Roger answered.

"Augustus……"

Trensoust clenched his fists:

"A descendant of William Augustus?"

"Yes."

Roger nodded:

"He became a 'Hand of Order'."

"boom!"

Upon hearing this, Trensault crushed the armrest of the chair in his hand, then roared in fury:

"He betrayed my kingdom?"

“As you can see.”

Roger's heart tightened, and he nodded.

"What about Olnia? Is Olnia still alive?"

After saying this, before Roger could reply, Terence suddenly seemed to remember something, and his body slumped back in his chair as if his soul had been ripped away.

"..."

He closed his eyes and opened them after a long time.

"Yes, what you said must be true. I seem to be able to foresee some of these things, as if I have experienced them myself."

"So, which country does the Abrahamic family serve now? Is Bethel still alive?"

Roger, upon hearing the question, answered:
“After the ‘War of the Four Emperors’, our ancestor disappeared. I am certain that he is still alive, but his condition is very unusual.”

"He left a kind of curse on the Abraham family, which has prevented us from producing high-sequence 'apprentices' for generations."

“As the current head of Abraham’s household, I am working to resolve this matter, and if possible, I want to save our ancestor Bethel.”

Upon hearing Roger's reply, "Night King" Terencer sighed softly:

"It seems the Abraham family isn't having an easy time either."

"As you can see, that is indeed the case."

Roger nodded slightly, not denying Terence's statement.

"Ugh……"

Trensault sighed deeply, his voice filled with sorrow for the times and the world.

As Roger let out that sigh, he noticed that Trensault's figure suddenly began to lose its vitality, and even the surrounding palace began to fade.

Even the details of the surrounding scene began to resemble a child's clumsy watercolor painting in an instant, and Terence began to transform from a living person into a somewhat unreal image.

It resembles both a puppet and an oil painting.

"Descendant of the Abraham family, what is your name?"

Terence's somewhat glassy eyes looked at Roger, who could even see the grayish powder in those eyes.

Roger Abraham.

Roger answered.

"Roger, what you told me today... has broadened my horizons."

Trensault's eyelids, which had become as stiff as wood, blinked:
“There is a law on ‘honesty’ here, and I know you are not lying.”

"These things may sound cruel, but they bring me closer to the truth."

"In fact, this will diminish my presence, but I promised you I wouldn't punish you for being honest. On the other hand, I also owe Bethel a favor."

"So I want to give you a chance, which is also a reward for you helping me experience the wedding banquet undisturbed."

"what chance?"

Roger asked curiously.

"Within the 'Ghost Empire,' there lies a Sequence 1 Extraordinary property of the 'Hand of Order.'"

Trensoust laughed:
"But this place is also divided into many scenes. These scenes protect some of my people, but they also embody my obsession with starting over."

"Among these many scenarios, some are crucial. If you can eliminate more than half of them, which contain my obsession, you will eventually obtain my Sequence 1 extraordinary property."

"Of course, if my presence is further strengthened in these scenarios, you will also be able to receive a second-tier reward."

"Some of the rewards here are useful to you or your friends, so you need to find a balance. It's a double test of your ability and wisdom."

"If my obsession ultimately prevails, I might be resurrected... Do you want to take that gamble with me?"

Roger thought for a moment:
"If you were to be resurrected, what punishment would I receive?"

"will not."

After speaking, Trensoust, with his last breath, uttered one more sentence:

"Roger Abraham's passage is unimpeded."

After saying this, the scene in which Trensost was standing completely collapsed.

When Roger came to his senses, he found himself in a dark reception hall, and with the help of "Secret Insight," he saw a faded, seated wax figure of Terence in front of him.

The wax figure holds a brass scepter in its hand.

The scepter was glowing faintly, seemingly containing some kind of power of order, or perhaps hinting at something to him.

Roger thought for a moment, then tried to pick up the scepter.

Just as he had anticipated, the scepter came into his hands with almost no resistance.

At that moment, Roger felt his body becoming somewhat ethereal. He could see the adjacent cabins and realized that he seemed to be able to pass through walls.

Now, apart from the "Red Angel" standing with a bewildered expression in the banquet hall to Roger's right, and the countless shadowy spirits surrounding Him in a dark and realistic state, all the other interconnected rooms lead to different fantasy scenes.

"These must be the scenes that Terensust was referring to, the scenes where His obsession remained..."

Roger took a deep breath and began to think about the whole thing.

First, one thing is certain: his act of telling Trensault the truth about history brought Trensault closer to reality to some extent, specifically in that the corresponding scenes faded and disappeared.

This would reduce the presence attribute of Trensust. In addition, there are other scenarios where if Trensust can reverse the timeline of history and bring about the scene he expects, then his presence will become stronger.

If Trensus were to come fully close to reality, he would die completely; but if all his obsession remained, he would be imprisoned here forever.

Therefore, the best-case scenario for Trensust is that more than half of his obsession is preserved, but the remaining half is close to "reality." He may be able to enter reality while preserving his own existence, and the result would be resurrection through self-anchoring on the "Ghost Empire" and the extraordinary properties of the "Hand of Order."

On the other hand, if Roger had made more than half of the scenes “realistic,” then Trenshorst would have died completely, and the extraordinary properties of the Sequence 1 item would have become a gift He left to Roger.

Of course, this would completely destroy the rewards that could have been obtained by satisfying Trensust's obsession in the scenario. Roger would then have to balance two factors: to obtain as many rewards as possible in the small scenario, but to ensure that he only gets less than half of the reward as much as possible, so that he can maximize his gains.

If Roger ultimately causes Trensost's resurrection, he will lose the biggest prize of the entire gamble—the "Hand of Order" extraordinary ability. At the same time, Trensost will gain some of the attributes of resurrection and the ability to leave the "Ghost Empire" at any time.

In Roger's view, Terence was also struggling with whether or not he should be resurrected.

On one hand, He wanted to return to reality and reclaim everything that once belonged to Him, but on the other hand, He was also disappointed with reality because the "Blood Moon Queen" Olnia was dead in reality.

In addition, because he owed Mr. Door, Bethel Abraham, a favor, he pushed the chessboard of the game to Roger, giving Roger a chance to play against him and see who would win in the end.

To be honest, Roger didn't actually want "Night King" Trensust to be resurrected. On the one hand, he was a historical figure who had already left the era, and if he were forcibly resurrected, it would inevitably bring a lot of chaos. On the other hand, Roger was also creating a new enemy for Emperor Roselle.

Besides, even if Trensust were to be resurrected, it would be almost impossible for him to return to Sequence 0; at most, he would exist as Sequence 1.

For him, who could no longer resurrect the "Blood Moon Queen" Olnia, such a resurrection seemed to have little significance.

"It's so troublesome."

Roger rubbed his temples. To be honest, he didn't really want to play this game; he could easily cause a major incident.

But since he was already there and the prize was so tempting, Roger thought about it and finally decided to give it a try.

If he could obtain a Sequence 1 "Hand of Order" seal artifact, it would undoubtedly be of immense help to him later on.

Even if Roger kept the sealed artifact in his own hands, traded it out, or to put it more extremely, cultivated a Sequence 1 Archangel, it would naturally be beneficial to him in different situations.

Roger took a deep breath, glanced again at the faded Trensus wax figure, then, holding the brass scepter, passed through the partition wall and arrived at the banquet hall where Medici was.

Roger patted Medici on the shoulder, and the guy suddenly seemed to realize what was happening.

He frowned as he looked at the ghosts drifting and dancing in the banquet hall, then asked Roger:

"solved?"

"Ah."

Roger nodded, and after briefly explaining the situation to Medici, the latter was also somewhat surprised:
"I never expected that Terensost could achieve this level of skill."

"Who says it isn't?"

Roger sighed and said:
“In any case, these wandering spirits must be sent away, otherwise they will remain as ‘anchors’ to Trensost… Even if they no longer have physical bodies, within His rules, this anchoring effect will still exist.”

After Roger finished speaking, he took out "Pale Death" again.

Upon seeing the mask, Medici immediately took a step back warily.
"Sallinger's legacy?"

"You recognize this thing?"

Roger asked as he created the flesh and blood puppet.

"of course."

Medici nodded:
"This mask clearly carries His aura, and on the other hand, its design is also very typical of the Byron Empire."

"Ok."

Roger answered, and then he added:

"Back off."

Medici took a step back, and Roger did the same. The flesh puppet put on the "Pale Death" mask and then looked around at the ghosts in the room.

The winds of the spirit world blew in, and the entire room quickly weathered away. The souls seemed to awaken from a dream, but this "awakening" did not last long before they all disappeared on the spot.

By the time the last undead disappeared, Roger's flesh golem was almost withered.

After it removed the mask and returned it to Roger, it finally couldn't support its own weight and quickly disintegrated into powder.

“Every time you use this sealed item, you have to sacrifice an avatar and a personality, which is quite a price to pay.”

Medici shook his head and sighed:
"However, the combined power of the 'Hanged Man' pathway and the 'Dreamer' pathway is truly formidable. It can create an avatar with an independent personality and even endow this avatar with some of its own abilities. It's simply too overpowered."

"No, even if you have the combined power of two paths, you shouldn't be able to do this so easily..."

He suddenly looked at Roger:

"You possess a portion of the power of the 'Chaotic Sea'?"

"Ah."

Roger nodded, and as he rummaged through the banquet hall for the Quaternary-era gold and silver artifacts, tossing them into the "Old Box," he said:

"But don't be nervous, it's just a part of the power in a tributary."

"That's terrible."

Medici shook his head:
"A Sequence 1 Archangel with Source power is an existence that surpasses the King of Angels. You are only Sequence 3 now, yet you possess Source power. From this perspective, even if you don't use your high-level extraordinary items and your... special power, those weaker Sequence 2 angels might not be able to defeat you."

"you flatter me."

Roger shook his head:

"There are still differences. Those angels you mentioned might not get the better of me, but if they were really willing to risk their lives, taking my life wouldn't be difficult for them."

"So if I had a choice, I really wouldn't want to go to war with the angels."

As he spoke, Roger had already looted all the valuable artifacts on site, and then looked at Medici:
"Did Lindsay contact you just now?" "Yes, that's right."

"Red Angel" Medici recounted her conversation with Lindsay to Roger, including how she shared the "War Bishop" ability with Lindsay.

"This……"

Roger immediately realized that winning that crucial encounter might be one of Trensous's obsessions.

If Lindsay loses the fight, his life may be in danger; if he wins, Trenshorst's obsession will be satisfied.

"Based on your experience, do you think Lindsay has a chance of winning?"

Roger thought for a moment, then asked Medici.

"How do I know this?"

Medici shrugged, looking at him with an air of "Who are you to ask me?"

But after a few seconds, He added:
"In terms of intelligence and fighting spirit, he should be stronger than my descendant."

"The only problem is that he doesn't know each of his subordinates in that illusion, so winning might not be an easy task."

"It's okay, let's go check it out."

Roger shook his head:

"If he loses, we'll bail him out; if he wins, that's fine too."

"If I'm not mistaken, the reward in that scene is most likely the extraordinary trait of the 'War Bishop' or a key ingredient for a magic potion."

Although Roger wasn't 100% certain about this, considering the structure of the scene Lindsay was in, the possibility was still very high.

War is an art of gathering the masses, and those who can defeat the strong with the weak are the true "bishops of war."

While Lindsay's ability to borrow power from "Red Angel" Medici was indeed beyond Trensust's expectations, just as Medici said, even though Medici could use "telepathic communication" by leveraging his identity as the "Iron Knight" of the Soren family he originally represented, he didn't understand the abilities, strengths, and limits of his subordinates in the illusion as well as he understood each of his own.

On the other hand, Lindsay, who hastily became the "War Bishop," may not be familiar enough with the corresponding abilities, which could put him at a disadvantage in his confrontation with Gabriel Medici.

Medici nodded slightly, then placed his hand on Roger's shoulder and, using the power of the "Trentost Brass Staff," traveled with him through scene after scene.

"Speaking of which, there must be hundreds of these scenes, right?"

The more Medici followed Roger, the more surprised he became.

Within the "Ghost Empire," there are hundreds of scenes of various kinds, most of which seem unimportant. Some even lack the presence of Trensost and the "Blood Moon Queen" Ornia. Instead, there are the various rules established by the "Night Emperor" to maintain the existence of spirits, leading them to mistakenly believe that the Trensost Empire is still alive and functioning normally.

The only difference is that these scenarios they are in are repeated constantly, but the participants themselves are almost unaware of it.

Because most of them do not possess divinity—at least Roger has been gone for so long and has not seen any souls with divinity appear; otherwise, these souls would have a certain probability of realizing that they are in an illusion.

Even if there are images of demigods or angels, they are just illusions and there is no real corresponding spirit.

On the other hand, seemingly because Roger held the brass scepter, these spirits could not see him and Medici at all. The two did not even get involved in the corresponding historical events, but simply passed through these scenes as bystanders.

In the process, Roger gradually became able to connect these scenes with the real historical timeline of the Ternsost Empire, which allowed his "precognition" ability to come into play once again, and based on this, he quickly located Lindsay's approximate location.

That was a small-scale battle that broke out between the Terensus Empire and the Solomon Empire on the southern slopes of the Hornach Mountains, before the "War of the Four Emperors".

In this battle, a unit of the Sauron family's "Iron Knights" was completely annihilated by the Medici family's demigods, and because the latter used the "fog of war," this intelligence was not transmitted in time.

The consequence of this was that the Terensus Empire lost the initiative in the "War of the Four Emperors". When the war broke out, it devoted too much energy to resisting the invasion of the Solomon Empire, and was eventually defeated by the "Underworld Emperor" Salinger by dividing and conquering them one by one.

In other words, in this scene, Terensust's obsession is that if the Terensust Empire had won, the outcome of the "War of the Four Emperors" might have been completely different.

While they were thinking, Roger and Red Angel Medici had already arrived at the scene where Lindsay was.

At this moment, on the Hornach Mountains, almost all the snow that had covered the area had evaporated, and even the once lush coniferous forests had withered and turned to charcoal, looking as if they had been bombed by a nuclear bomb.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the mountain, the sounds of various magical and physical attacks could be heard continuously, interspersed with many ancient Fusak curses and shouts, making it sound as if two armies were fighting.

"over there."

Roger said in a deep voice. He and Medici were about to fly over when they saw two streaks of blue flames shooting up rapidly from the bottom of the mountain in front of them!
The two streaks of light intertwined and collided, producing a violent sonic boom. Roger looked closely and saw that it was a "war bishop" who looked four or five parts like Medici, fighting with Lindsay Louis, who had transformed into a member of the Sauron family.

At this moment, both of them seemed to be nearly exhausted. Their equal power levels meant that neither of them could gain the upper hand. Although Lindsay was not as familiar with the abilities of the "War Bishop" as the demigod of the Medici family, the combat skills and mindset he had honed in the "Forsaken Land" gave him an edge over his opponent.

Just as Roger was thinking, Lindsay suddenly threw the dagger in his hand toward Gabriel Medici opposite him.

The attack was so sudden that Gabriel Medici was startled and burst into a ball of blue flames to avoid it.

The short sword transformed into a streak of blue fire, hurtling towards Roger and Medici at more than seven times the speed of sound, instantly unleashing a terrifying shockwave and heat wave!

Roger and Medici neither dodged nor evaded; the blade, like a phantom, sliced through the space where they stood, and then blasted the top of a small hill behind them into pieces.

“Good heavens, you extraordinary individuals who have passed the ‘Red Priest’ pathway are practically money-grubbing warriors.”

Roger curled his lip.

"What police and criminal warriors?"

Medici was taken aback; he didn't understand what Roger was talking about.

"Never mind, don't worry about it."

Roger waved his hand, signaling Medici not to focus on these details.

A dense swarm of fire crows swept across the hillside, creating a series of crackling sounds in the air. Two of the fire crows struck Lindsay, and even though he managed to steel his body to absorb the attack, he was still quite pale after recovering.

In fact, Gabriel Medici was only slightly better off than Lindsay; the only difference was that he had suffered fewer injuries, but otherwise there wasn't much difference.

"Your subordinate is quite interesting."

Suddenly, Medici chuckled.

"How to say?"

Roger raised an eyebrow and asked.

"He figured out a new method of combat."

As soon as Medici finished speaking, Lindsay immediately created a blue flame spear and a flock of fire crows, and quickly threw them at Gabriel!

Some of the fire crows were used to block Bryer's movements, while the real attack was hidden in the flaming spear.

This was a common tactic used by extraordinary individuals of the "Red Priest" path. Gabriel's expression remained unchanged as he exploded into flames with a "bang," thus dodging the attack.

However, the next second, the flames did not gather together. Instead, after Lindsay's sudden "war cry," a touch of black appeared in the blue!
A painful scream suddenly rang out, and a smile suddenly appeared on Lindsay's lips.

A long spear of ice crystals burning with black flames suddenly appeared, and Lindsay threw it in the direction of Gabriel!

The spear was given the "long-range bombardment" effect of the "War Bishop". It flew at an extremely fast speed and almost instantly approached the blue flame that Gabriel had turned into, and then exploded again with black flames!
With a "bang," the blue flame vanished without warning, replaced by splattered chunks of flesh, brain matter, bones, and blood.

When these tissues fell to the ground, the scalding blood immediately ignited a large area.

Lindsay, panting heavily, looked down with the air of a proud victor.

"Won……"

He uttered those two words, then his body went limp, unable to maintain his "weaponized" flight state any longer, and he plummeted downwards.

During this process, Lindsay suddenly felt something catch his body. He looked up and saw Roger's smiling face.

Beside them was "Red Angel" Medici. The three of them flew over the burning area and then landed on the ground.

"You just used your own steel-like body as a mirror to cast a curse on Gabriel Medici?"

Roger then realized the true nature of what Lindsay had just done. In fact, despite being slightly weaker than Gabriel, he had a unique advantage: he had once been a "witch"!
This information was unknown to Gabriel, and while Gabriel and he were both injured, Lindsay deliberately used his steel-like body to absorb the wave of fire crow attacks, and at the same time used it to cast a mystical curse on the latter.

Normally, such a curse would be difficult to harm a demigod, but on the one hand, Lindsay "weaponized" his steel body, making it more effective. On the other hand, when Gabriel entered "flame form," he also became a being between spirit and element, which further gave the black flames that could burn his spirit the opportunity to be transmitted through the curse.

Most importantly, Lindsay possesses the good fortune buff granted by the "Silver Mirror," which is enough for him to successfully injure or even kill Gabriel, who is also a Sequence 3 demigod, with this move!
Roger quickly gave Lindsay a dose of a vampire-made potion. After Lindsay recovered slightly, Roger distributed his power to his remaining surviving subordinates.

Although there was a certain gap in strength between the two teams, under Lindsay's proper command, the two sides had almost fought to a draw.

In this way, the two legions entered into a state of king versus king, soldier versus soldier. At this point, the "king" of the Terensost Empire won the victory, so the victory of the "soldier" side was a natural consequence.

Lindsay's victory transformed the battlefield situation from a close contest to a one-sided affair.

Soon, all the soldiers of the Solomon Empire were wiped out, and the "Red Army of War" finally met its end in the Hornach Mountains.

This scene was thus shattered piece by piece. Gabriel Medici and his body completely disappeared, along with the Terensost Empire soldiers who showed joy and the snow-covered Hornach Mountains.

When Roger, Lindsay, and Medici returned to reality, they found themselves in a place resembling a war command center, with the sand table on the table showing the scene of the "Red Army of War" being defeated by the Ternsost Empire.

The portrait of Terence hanging nearby seemed to come alive at this moment, showing a pleased smile and looking at Lindsay, as if praising him in this way.

Suddenly, Lindsay and Medici turned around at the same time and looked at two symmetrically placed black boxes that had appeared on the table behind them at some unknown time.

"That should be your reward."

Medici spoke to Lindsay.

Lindsay nodded slightly, walked over, and opened both boxes at the same time.

One of the boxes contained a huge heart, flowing with the aura of iron and blood, which was still beating slightly at this moment, seemingly containing endless vitality.

The other box contained a meteorite core that shone with a rusty luster. In addition, each of the two boxes contained some other supporting materials.

"The heart of the dual centaur, the core of the war comet."

At this moment, Medici spoke up:

"These are the main ingredients needed for the 'War Bishop' potion, and the rest are all auxiliary materials."

He then laughed:
"This should be a gift prepared by the Soren family for the triumphant return of that 'Iron-Blooded Knight,' because if he had won that battle, his promotion ceremony would have been completed as well."

"But it seems... he didn't live to see that outcome."

"You think it's a pity?"

Roger looked at Medici and asked curiously.

There's nothing to regret about dying on the battlefield.

Medici shook his head:
"This is the fate of the 'Red Priests': either win or die in battle, even Tudor is no exception."

"Well, that makes sense."

Roger nodded, suppressing the urge to criticize Medici for being turned into a hotpot because he fell into Thudor's trap, rather than dying in battle—a dark chapter in his history—and then asked:
"So, in your opinion, Lindsay has completed the promotion ceremony?"

"Unfortunately, it probably doesn't count."

Medici shook his head:
“That was an illusion after all, and Lindsay did not fight alongside his own legion to defeat the powerful enemy. If he took the potion under these circumstances, it might cause unexpected consequences.”

"for example?"

Roger asked curiously.

"For example, personality replacement."

Medici replied:
"That is to say, he will be influenced to some extent by the spiritual imprint of the members of the Soren family, but this is only one possibility. The greater possibility is that he will lose control directly."

"Ok."

Roger nodded, and said with some regret:
"Then we'll have to find another opportunity."

"It's alright, Captain."

Lindsay shook her head:

Don't feel regretful, there will always be opportunities.

"In any case, after this battle, I have gained some insights into the role of the 'War Bishop'."

"I think if I successfully advance, I should be able to digest a portion of the potion immediately."

"That's good."

Hearing Lindsay's words, Roger patted him on the shoulder with some relief.

"Captain, what do we do next?"

After collecting the potion ingredients from the "War Bishop," Lindsay asked.

Roger then told Lindsay about the agreement he had previously reached with Terence, and Lindsay was taken aback when he heard this.

"So, I've been helping 'Night King' Ternsost?"

Lindsay scratched the back of her head, looking rather embarrassed.

"That's not the case; this is simply a part of the game."

Roger gently shook his head:

"In fact, compared to those meaningless rewards, the potion ingredients from the 'War Bishop' are already a gain that maximizes our benefits."

After all, considering that Lindsay has completely digested the "Iron Knight" potion, Roger now only needs to find an opportunity to help him complete the ascension ceremony. His faction will then gain another demigod-level combatant at Sequence 3.

Hearing Roger's words, Lindsay could only nod:

"Understood, thank you."

"So what do we do next? Should we go find Lord Nast?"

Considering that the three of them had reunited, Lindsay couldn't help but think of the "King of the Five Seas" and his men.

"I think we should wait a bit longer."

Roger shook his head:

“Our occult connection with the two of them has not been severed, which means they are still alive.”

"But they haven't contacted us, which suggests they may have found something of high value that they don't want to share with us."

However, just as Roger finished speaking, he and Lindsay simultaneously heard Nast's voice coming from the telepathic communication channel.

"Your Excellency Abraham, are you there?"

"what happened?"

Roger immediately countered, sensing the unease in Nast's tone.

"I've run into some trouble and might need your help."

Nast, the "King of the Five Seas," paused for a moment, then continued:
"I have been drawn into one of the angelic battlefields of the 'War of the Four Emperors,' and I am currently in the heart of the battle between the four angels."

"So I would like to ask if you can provide assistance?"

"Given the historical significance of the 'Battle of the Four Emperors,' this battlefield is undoubtedly of great importance."

“I suspect that extraordinary properties and sealed artifacts of Sequence 3 or even Angel level or above can be obtained here. If you can come, we can distribute the spoils reasonably.”

Nast clearly struggled with his thoughts when he said this, but he hadn't expected the battlefield simulated by the "Night Emperor" to be so terrifying.

Even if it wasn't true angelic power, in the memory of a true god, the two were not much different.

However, Roger was caught in a dilemma when he heard Nast's seemingly tempting invitation.
