Chapter 100 Funeral
“Ince Zangwill—!” Amidst the young man’s angry roar, the blazing white spear was launched at the only culprit standing in front of him.

The expression on Ins's face was still indifferent, even with a hint of impatience. The hand that he was holding tightly to 0-08 suddenly gained a bit of strength. As the bone messengers who had lost their support and were gradually returning to the underworld disappeared, he saw this guy who had disrupted his plan.

Something that should have been easy.

But these two people happened to appear!
He stretched out his hand angrily and knocked down the blazing white spear. Then the lightning flashed again and hit the direction where Philip Howard was.

In the silver-white electric light, a barrier made of red flames gradually condensed around the latter's body. Even at the terrifying speed of Thunder, only part of it was completed, but it was enough for him to react in an instant and leave the spot.

Ins did not stop. After roughly estimating the time in his mind, his entire body gradually became transparent. He was ready to leave the battlefield immediately, enter the void, and enter the spiritual world to guard against Azik Eggers who might arrive at any time.

"Who the hell let you go, you bitch!"

Tiny lightning snakes were running all over Philip's body. The intense paralysis made him so angry that he had no time to care about anything else. The scarlet in his eyes gradually replaced the sapphire blue. The anger suppressed by his clenched teeth lingered in his body, making him grow black hair all over.

As desire erupted, the power gained from it successfully allowed Philip to break free from the lightning snakes swimming around him. He used the fastest speed he could achieve to condense the blazing white spear in his hand and rushed towards Ince Zangwill.

Ins narrowed his eyes slightly and snorted with some disdain, but the fierce light in his eyes revealed a terrifying and restrained murderous intent.

Three seconds later.

Just as the blazing white flame was about to touch Ince Zangwill's increasingly illusory body, the latter had already completely entered the spiritual world, leaving Philip empty-handed and falling forward due to the violent inertia.

Nourishes—

As the sound of friction rang out, Philip's knees slid on the ground for several meters before finally stopping. When his consciousness returned to reality because of the pain, he dared not look back and face it.

The mental trance caused by the outburst of reason and the blow he had experienced before made Philip's body tremble uncontrollably.

He lowered his body, put his forehead on the ground, then clenched his fists and smashed them down hard!

boom!
Amidst the dull echo, imperceptible cracks appeared on the ground, and bright red blood flowed out, spreading in all directions before quickly seeping completely downwards.

Dark clouds blocked the sunlight, and Tingen in autumn was a bit chilly at this time. The air penetrated through the thin white shirt and entered the body along the bleeding wounds on the red palms.

Philip touched the corners of his eyes, but when he found that he showed no signs of crying, his movements came to a standstill again.

Ten seconds later.

"Ah"

A self-deprecating chuckle broke the silence.

He supported himself on his knees, slowly turned around, and walked forward with a calmness that he himself had not expected, to test the conditions of the three Night Watchmen.

Just injured and in a coma
Philip's eyes moved away from Leonard, and he walked to Dunn Smith's side. Looking at the other's charred body, he confirmed that he was not in immediate danger of life. Ripples finally appeared in his heart.

however,
Klein's breathing stopped.

Philip didn't know how long he looked.

He suddenly recalled the scene of him and his fellow townsman recognizing each other. Although the actual interaction was not profound, he still thought that someone who just wanted to go home was left here.
Philip's slow, bewildered brain pondered for more than ten seconds before he finally remembered why his hand had been suspended in mid-air. He touched the other's cheek, gently sliding it downwards, allowing the brown eyes to be obscured by closed eyelids, no longer revealing the dead silence and lifelessness.

"Fuck, I came here for nothing."

September 9th, corner of Raphael Cemetery.

The crimson moonlight shone on the stone slabs, and in the indescribable coldness and silence, the three lines of the epitaph on the tombstone could be vaguely glimpsed:
"The best brother;"

“The best brother;”

“The best colleague.”

Azik, with a bronze complexion, and Philip, who still looked a little dazed, held white flowers and stood quietly in front of the tombstone. The two were silent for a long time, but still did not speak.

It was not until Philip knelt down and put down the bouquet of white flowers in his hand that he asked in a voice that was barely perceptible but extremely clear in the quiet night at this moment:
"Mr. Azik, do you think there are other worlds or universes outside of this world, no, outside of this universe?"

Azik turned his head, breaking free from his dazed silence. Facing Philip's question, he frowned slightly, then shook his head and said, "I can't answer your question. It's even unknown whether there is anyone in this world who can answer this question."

I see. Philip stroked Klein's tombstone and nodded gently. He then waited quietly for Azik to put down the white flower before he tried to speak.

"How much do I need to grow to help you kill Ince Zangwill?"

"Sequence Five, that's the minimum."

After a brief silence, Azik answered the question. He said seriously, "But if you haven't reached the level of a demigod, there's almost no chance of victory against Ince Zangwill."

Philip asked no more questions.

"I want to stay with him for a while."

Upon hearing this, Azik lowered the brim of his black hat and nodded. Without saying anything more, he simply turned his back and added before leaving, "If you encounter any problems when you return to Backlund, you can contact me immediately."

Silence fell upon the cemetery once again.

Philip withdrew his hand from stroking the tombstone, forced a smile, and kept rummaging through his pockets, but in the end he only found a wallet.

clatter.
A gold coin was placed in front of the tombstone.

"rest assured."

Philip brushed away the surface soil and placed the gold pound in the center. He then placed his forehead against it and said softly, "I'll find a way to go back and take you back. There's always a way."

He had never thought about returning to Earth before. He wanted to find a way to avoid being hunted by the Rose School, improve his strength as much as possible, and live a peaceful life. This was all he pursued.

But now, since the difficulty of survival is already so high, adding a few more requirements is not a big deal. Philip pushed the dirt back to cover the gold coin he used to commemorate the other party, and then muttered to himself:

"Too bad I don't even know your name or where you live."

How will I bury you in the future?
