Chapter 143 Choice
Klein looked at Azik, but the darkness blocked his sight. In Klein's eyes, Azik seemed to have merged into the darkness.

He frowned slightly. Mr. Azik's current figure reminded Klein of his own divination.

The first Baron Ramde, university history teacher...

Those unclear black shadows... could they all be Mr. Azik?

Klein looked at Eve and Azik thoughtfully.

"Mr. Azik, I have a suspicion about your condition."

"What guess?"

"I believe your forgetfulness is cyclical. Perhaps you die every few decades, erasing your previous memories. Then, after a certain period of time, you awaken from your dark slumber and begin a new life. Only in this way can I explain your different dreams. They represent the events you encountered in different lives." Klein described his speculation and added:
"Mr. Azik, do you remember the results of my divination? Perhaps those dark shadows are you."

"it's all me……"

Azik murmured, looking forward with a gloomy gaze, as if he wanted to see his forgotten past through the mottled ancient walls.

After a while, he came to his senses and murmured, "Your guess is consistent with some of the memories I have recovered after being stimulated."

Azik paused and glanced at Eve with a complicated look, "Ms. Eve, I don't know why you don't tell me the truth..."

"But I'm very grateful that you're willing to accompany me in searching for my memories, and I look forward to the day when you tell me the truth."

Eve raised her eyes, her ocean-blue eyes were as deep and profound as the deep sea. Even huge waves would be so insignificant compared to the ocean, let alone a small wave.

His gaze swept across Azik and Klein, finally stopping on Azik. The darkness prevented Azik from seeing the girl's expression.

"It will be here soon."

He said:
"That day will come soon."

Azik's eyes widened slightly, a bit surprised. He closed them tightly, as if suppressing his emotions, but opened them a second later and said, "I'm curious about what choice will be presented to me that day."

Eve didn't answer, but stared at him with her ocean-blue eyes, with bits of curiosity dotting the ocean like stars, and her eyes told Azik the answer.

He was also curious, but Azik had no idea what he was curious about.

Klein looked at the two people in front of him, gripping his cane tightly with a frown on his face.

He still had an unspoken guess.

Mr. Azik's amnesia and reincarnation may have been orchestrated by Eve or his allies.

But this conjecture certainly cannot be said, at least not now.

Klein glanced at the two of them, considering what to say to ease the gradually stagnant atmosphere. "Mr. Azik, perhaps you don't need to leave Tingen to pursue your lost past. You will slowly recall it."

"why?"

Azik withdrew his gaze from Eve and turned to look at his student.

"Your memory isn't completely lost. The fact that you woke up partially today due to the stimulation is proof of that."

"And, Mr. Azik, do you remember waking up in Backlund and realizing you'd forgotten your past? When you woke up from your dream, you had a new ID, plenty of money, and a way to make an appearance without startling others... It was like everything was planned, allowing you to quickly integrate into society." Klein tapped his silver cane and smiled slightly. "It's very likely that you planned this in advance, knowing you'd lose your memory."

It's also possible that the mastermind behind this arranged it for you... Klein silently made up a guess in his mind.

"If that's true... then the parents I've been looking for might be my past self..." Azik sighed, agreeing with Klein's guess.

He turned his head and looked at Eve with complicated eyes, saying, "Miss Eve, let's go back. In any case, I am very grateful for helping me find my memory. No matter what the final truth is, this gratitude will not change."

Azik paused, smiled slightly and continued:
"And my memory tells me that you have no ill will towards me."

Eve nodded and agreed, "Your memory is very accurate. I really have no ill will towards you."

"Can I ask Miss Eve a question?"

Azik asked politely. The help Eve gave him would not disappear because of the concealment. He was still willing to believe Eve.

"Okay." Eve nodded.

"Has Miss Eve participated in all my reincarnations?"

"No." Eve shook her head. After the initial novelty wore off, Eve did not deliberately participate in Azik's reincarnation. She appeared less and less frequently in his reincarnations, and there were several times when he was not even there at all.

"Really..." Azik nodded. There were too many unknowns right now, and he didn't even know whether he should be happy or sad about this situation. He sighed silently and said, "I'm fine now."

"Then I'll take you back."

Eve put one hand on Azik's shoulder and the other on Klein's shoulder and led them back to Hoy University.

After saying goodbye to Azik, he sent Klein back home.

After returning home, Klein placed his cane next to his desk and asked in a low voice, "How long is 'soon'?"

The soundproofing at 2 Daffodil Street was ten times better than the Moretti family's previous apartment, but Klein was still worried about being discovered by Bella.

Having a maid meant he no longer had to shop, cook, or clean, but it brought Klein a lot of inconvenience in his mystical studies. For example, he used to experiment with rituals when Benson and Melissa were away, but now, except for holidays and grocery shopping, Bella stayed at the Moretti household for extended periods. To avoid being discovered, Klein had to give up his experiments at home. And he definitely couldn't discuss this inconvenience with Benson to resolve it.

Eve thought for a moment, then stretched out her hands, one finger on her right hand and two fingers on her left, and said, "One or two years."

One year or two years... Klein frowned. He wasn't sure how much he could grow in such a short time.

"Will Mr. Azik be in danger?" Klein asked worriedly.

"It depends on his choice." Eve said, retracting her hand.

Klein's frown deepened, and he couldn't help but feel a little more anxious.

"Don't worry," Eve patted Klein on the back and said, "Trust in Mr. Azik."

"Do you think Mr. Azik will make the right choice?"
