Mystery: Who has seen my brother?

Chapter 15 I won’t be lonely with him

Chapter 15 I won’t be lonely with him
In the dark room, Eve's figure gradually emerged. She glanced at her beloved bed, hesitated for a while, and finally chose to look away with difficulty and walked towards the table and chairs.

Eve opened the window, and the gentle evening breeze blew her hair, and the slightly cool touch took away some of her tiredness.

Pull out the blank paper, place the remaining paper on the table, and press it down with a cup of water.

Eve sat on the chair and counted the papers. There were eight in total, no one missing.

Eight was definitely not enough, but paper was a valuable commodity here, so Eve could only get so many. She folded each piece of paper twice and then tore it into four pieces along the crease. In this way, Eve had 32 missing person notices.

She took out the pen Mr. Pitt had lent her from her pocket, thought for a while, and wrote the three big Chinese characters "Zhou Mingrui" on each piece of paper. Then, under "Zhou Mingrui", she wrote in small letters "I am your brother. Come find me at No. 18, North District."

After writing them, Eve sorted all the missing person notices and put them in the pocket of her team uniform.

Eric had already asked most people, but no one had heard of Mingrui. He was probably not in the city. Tomorrow, he'd post missing person notices on the city gates—east, south, west, and north.

"Snapped-"

Eve put the cap on the pen and put it in the pocket of her team jersey to avoid forgetting to bring it tomorrow.

The girl took another look at her beloved bed and sighed. It was so late now, she would definitely not be able to get up tomorrow. No, she couldn't be late again. She might as well stay up all night. It was not like she had never done this before. Hadn't she stayed up all night many times in college?

Unfortunately, there is no mobile phone or computer.

Do I have to stay like this until dawn? No, no, I can fall asleep standing up like this.

Eve pulled the paper out from under the water cup and glanced at it. There were few words she recognized. Bored, she flipped through the pages, looking at the blank back of the last page. She pulled it out and spread it flat on the table.

Well, now that she has nothing to do, she will make a plan for herself, although her plans will eventually become decorations.

First, there is the plan during the city patrol period.

Eve took out her pen and tapped it against her forehead unconsciously. After a while, she wrote the first line:
1. Understand the internal rules of the patrol team within three days
After thinking for a while, I crossed it out and started to scribble my thoughts on the paper, writing whatever came to my mind and wherever there was space.

"This generation of the Outer City Patrol will be incorporated into the army before or after the outbreak of war."

"Sequence Three can have their own legion."

"You can choose your own soldiers..."

"As for establishing my authority..." Eve looked at the words on the paper in distress, her pen dotting the paper one by one, leaving dots of ink. Then she picked up the pen and wrote, "Strong strength is one thing, but you can't rely on strength alone. I'm good at getting along with people, but leadership, especially military leadership, I've only led others in games. Maybe if I could get along with them and become friends, that would be fine..."

"Alas," Eve sighed, leaning over the table and looking up at the red moon outside the window, she whispered, "This is too difficult for me. Let me go home. I'm just a novice. This is not my style at all."

"Time travel isn't as exciting as described in novels." Eve muttered to herself, then sat up and took a pen to prepare to start her great plan again.

"Actually, you don't need to worry so much." A familiar female voice came from behind him.

"Amanisis?" Eve looked back in surprise. Amanisis's figure gradually appeared in Eve's room. "Why are you here?"

"I'm leaving soon," Amaniss said in a soothing, gentle, and pleasant voice. "I came to see you before I go."

"Want to go out and take a look?"

"Let's go out and take a look?" Eve thought for a moment and nodded. The next second, the two of them appeared on the top of Mikhail's Church. Amanesis put a layer of stealth on them.

"He" pointed at the crimson moon in the sky and asked, "What do you think?" Eve followed her finger and looked. The crimson moon hung high in the sky, its light spreading across the earth. "Not bad," Eve said with a smile. "In my previous life, I heard a saying that a crimson moon represented bad luck and symbolized the end of the world. Of course, that's all a lie."

"I hate the red moon," said Amanesis. "The red moon is an ominous sign."

"Yeah." Eve looked at Amanisis and nodded.

Then the two fell into silence.

"Um..." Eve felt the need to find a topic to ease the suddenly tense atmosphere between them. "Is there any way I can stop worrying so much?"

"The principle of Beyonder characteristics aggregation is that those with lower status will be afraid of those with higher status. Once you become an angel, the aggregation effect will be very obvious."

"Fear?" Eve asked curiously, "What will happen to those of lower status?"

Amanisis glanced at Eve and said, "Appetite."

"Appetite!" Eve looked at Amanesis in shock and said with some fear, "It's too scary, too unbelievable! Will I ever eat people again?"

"To be precise, it's the eating trait," Amanesis corrected. "It depends on whether you can resist it."

"I can't help it," Eve said seriously, "I have to bear it even if I can't help it!"

"Yes," Amanesis nodded, his gaze shifting from the Red Moon to Eve. "The Destruction Wolf didn't chase you because I lured it away before it discovered you. The two wolves that killed 'you' died after looking directly at Sefirah Castle. They were stained with the aura of Sefirah Castle, so I disposed of them."

"Huh?" Eve was stunned for a moment, then said embarrassedly, "Is that so? I'm sorry, I doubted you before."

Amanisis shook his head and said, "It's a good thing to be vigilant."

"Actually, the main reason I came to you this time was for 'divinity'."

"Divinity?" Eve repeated in a low voice, looking at Amanesis curiously.

Amanesis said: "This is also what Mikhail meant. Although we all hope that you can become an angel for the sake of interests, as fellow countrymen we still want to remind you.

After becoming an angel, you will develop divinity. The higher your sequence, the more divinity you have and the less humanity you have. Powerful gods face eternal madness and loneliness.

I know you might not take this seriously after seeing Mikhail's appearance, so I'm here to tell you that this is a way for Him to maintain His humanity—to imitate His human self. I don't know how much truth there is in this.

...

……

.........

"I……"

Finally, the long silence was broken.

"I want to find my brother," Eve said, her lips curled up into a smile. "Sequence Three, I don't know when he died in this world. How can I find him? Even if I found him, I couldn't protect him. As a brother, I can't protect my brother. I'm so useless."

"Besides," Eve turned around and looked at Amanisis with a genuine smile, "I won't be lonely with him around."
