Chapter 18 Hunting
In the scorching summer, the air seems to be distorted.

The emerald green leaves curled up slightly, as if they had lost their vitality due to the sun. The sound of gurgling water floated into the girl's ears. Just listening to the trickling water made people feel refreshed.

Eve drew the river on paper. She drew all the terrain she observed on the paper, which made it easier for her to make hunting plans and prepare for Mikhail to occupy this place.

There wasn't much water in this place, so Eve decided to schedule her hunting time at three or four in the morning, using dewdrops to complete the mirror shuttle. By the time she reached her destination, the dewdrops would have almost disappeared. Once she arrived at the "hunting ground," she could use the extraordinary item given by Mikhail, which was equivalent to the second-order portal, to seal the space and prevent Him from traveling back to the spiritual world.

The Secret Medal, after silently reciting "Amanisis", can make Eve enter the secret state.

The Starlight Headband, a sea-blue headband, grants the wearer the ability to open and close doors. It's decorated with stars, each of which can store a special ability. Stars with stored abilities emit light. Eve has imbued all the stars with extraordinary abilities, making the entire headband sparkle. A side effect is that the wearer suffers from harassing mumblings, partially losing their sanity, and increasing the risk of losing control.

One of the witch's core abilities is mirror magic. With the dewdrop gone, she's effectively without a mirror, and she won't carry one. While this weakens Eve, those of higher order in the same path will only be weakened more severely. Suppressed from all sides, Eve can only do her best to weaken the witch. In battle, she relies on the extraordinary items loaned to her by Mikhail and Amanisis.

All she had to do was buy time until "His" extraordinary characteristics emerged, and that would be the time for Eve to fight back.

After drawing the last stroke, Eve returned to the city and handed the map to the person in charge of the city. This was the last copy.

When the blood spills all over the ground, the hunting ground is about to welcome its guests.

Eve used a hairband to put her long hair upright, and bursts of whispers suddenly appeared in her ears. The girl felt dizzy. After adapting for a while, she touched the secret medal on her chest, silently chanted Amanisis in her heart, entered the secret state, and quietly sneaked into the territory of the angel, passing by as lightly as a cat without making a sound.

At the foot of the mountain lay a human tribe, a few small wooden houses huddled together, and more shelters made of branches and leaves. A thin layer of cloth hung at the entrance served as a door, revealing the people inside when the wind blew. They were pale and thin, and some of the elderly and children were even skinny.

There was some burning firewood in the center of the tribe, and the ground around it was covered with blood and broken bones.

There were white bones scattered in the grass. The bones were relatively intact and judging from their size, they all belonged to children.

Human sacrifice and cannibalism!
The breath of death and despair in the tribe clung to the girl's heart. Eve closed her eyes reluctantly. At this moment, she truly empathized with Mikhail's fanatics.

The angel lived in a cave on the mountainside. Eve stood outside and took a peek inside. A three-headed snake-haired woman was sleeping soundly inside. Her face and body were covered in blood. No matter how beautiful she was, she still made people feel terrified.

Eve whispered a few words to Mikhail. The status of the sun god was higher than that of Amanesis, so even in secret, Mikhail could still hear it.

A warm feeling came over him, dispelling the coldness of the night. He looked here, and the "purification" began.

At that moment, the snake woman suddenly opened her eyes, her cold, blood-red pupils staring straight ahead. Eve's hair stood on end, and a sense of fear washed over her. It was the fear of being stared at by a cold-blooded animal, but even more so, the fear of the one in power. This feeling was quickly dispelled by the warmth. The snake woman raised her head and let out a long howl, and the ground shook. A tremendous roar echoed, waking the people below. Rocks tumbled down the mountain, trying to drown out the screams.

The mountain collapsed.

A huge wall of ice rose out of nowhere, blocking the rubble and mud.

Huge rocks hit the ice wall, making loud noises.

boom! boom! boom!
Each sound seems to be knocking on the soul.

The people who escaped death looked at the ice wall that appeared out of nowhere and immediately knelt down in the direction of the cave.

Eve heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that everyone below the mountain was alright. Then she secretly condensed a frost spear and released her hidden state.
As a result, when the snake-haired woman saw Eve suddenly appear, she roared and rushed towards her, without her having to provoke her at all.

Eve immediately threw the spear and stabbed it straight into the chest of the snake-haired woman, but was bitten by the snake on the woman's head.

Crack! The spear shattered.

But Eve never thought that this spear could hurt Him. She only intended it to provoke Him. The moment she threw it, Eve jumped into the mirror world and moved quickly on the mirror.

The snake-haired woman chased after him without hesitation, jumped into the mirror world, and gave chase relentlessly.

His speed was much faster than Eve's, and he almost caught up with her several times, but the girl always escaped by opening the door.

After a wild run, Eve jumped out of the mirror world, and the snake-haired woman jumped out with her.

After entering the real world, Eve immediately closed the door to block the surrounding space and then entered a secret state.

The little starlight on the headband on her head quietly went out, and a strong white light shot out, dispelling all the shadows around her. The snake-haired woman suddenly felt a burning pain.

Under the strong light coming from all directions, even shadows no longer exist.

This would limit the snake-haired woman's ability to control shadows to a certain extent.

The disappearance of the enemy, the burning pain, and the feeling of the Beyonder's characteristics all made the snake-haired woman even more angry.

The three snakes on its heads danced wildly, hitting the rocks and trees where Eve was hiding several times, smashing them to pieces.

The snakes' attack range became larger and larger. When they attacked the barrier, the snake-haired woman found herself trapped.

In an instant, the ground began to shake violently, and cracks appeared on the ground.

The snakes stopped attacking and returned to their master.

puff!
A snake bit the snake-haired woman, tearing off a piece of flesh from her body, leaving a bloody hole in her body, and then the wound healed quickly at a speed visible to the naked eye.

puff!puff!puff!
Other snakes joined in the biting, and blood and flesh splattered everywhere. The snake-haired woman was covered in blood but had no wounds at all.

All the snakes raised their heads and threw out the flesh and blood in their mouths.

There was too much blood and flesh and it was too dense to avoid.

distortion!

boom! boom! boom!
The flesh bomb flying towards Eve quietly changed its route, narrowly passing over the girl and making holes in the ground.

Eve quickly took two steps back, stepped on a place without blood and flesh, and avoided the last few flesh bombs flying towards her.

She reserved several pieces specifically to avoid exposing her position.

Otherwise, whether it is the large space left by the flying flesh and blood or the overly flat land on the bumpy ground, it would be too conspicuous.

Although Eve felt that He might not have the intelligence, otherwise He would have divined her location long ago and there would be no need to go through so much trouble to find her.
