Chapter 96 New Diary

Red light surged out, penetrating the thick gray fog.

The red light in the magnificent ancient bronze palace faded, revealing a man and a woman.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Fool, Mr. Hanged Man, and Ms. Queen."

Audrey stood up and bowed gracefully while holding up the hem of her skirt.

Alger and Eve followed closely behind and greeted each other.

"I only collected one page of Russell's diary this time," Audrey recalled the contents of Russell's diary in her mind and expressed her thoughts strongly. Densely packed unfamiliar symbols suddenly appeared on the white paper like mosquitoes. "Mr. Fool."

Klein waved his hand, and Russell's diary immediately flew into his hand.

"I'm sorry," Alger said, bowing slightly. "I've been at sea, never near land, and haven't found the New Russell diary."

Klein nodded nonchalantly.

As expected, there were fewer entries in Russell's subsequent diaries.

Seeing that the Fool didn't blame him, Alger breathed a sigh of relief. After a few secret observations, he realized that the Fool didn't seem to care much about Russell's diary.

Russell's diary is of some use to the Fool, but not much, Alger sighed in his heart. It fits his imagination of a high-ranking being.

He glanced at Eve secretly, frowned, and then immediately relaxed.

The Queen still hadn't given Mr. Fool Russell the diary. Alger rested his chin on his hands, restraining his body movements to prevent Justice from noticing any abnormality, and secretly pondered the reason.

The Queen didn't have Russell's diary last time. A gleam of light flashed in Alger's eyes, which made him more convinced that the Queen belonged to the Fool's forces.

Klein was unaware of Alger's brainstorming. He pretended to be thoughtful and picked up Russell's diary and began to read.

"On July 9th, an interesting question suddenly occurred to me. Since the Sequence Path is also known as God's Grace, who exactly did God's Path blaspheme?"

"Who created the Blasphemous Slate? Why can it contain all the sequence paths? What else is recorded on it? I really want to take a look..."

Klein recalled what Eve and the captain had said about the desecration of the slate. Based on the information he currently knew, he deduced that the one being "desecrated" should be a god. After all, the path to god could truly lead to godhood.

"July 12th. Today I learned a fact..."

"On July 14th, I met the mysterious Mr. Zaratul again. He turned out to be the leader of the ancient organization, the Secret Order!"

"Eve is actually the leader of the Rose Society, which is even older than the Secret Order. She's worthy of being my golden finger! The leaders of two secret organizations, as expected, I am the protagonist of this era!"

Klein tapped his fingers on the armrest, again and again, rhythmically.

He was not surprised by this news. Although his sister had not explicitly told him that Zaratul was the leader of the Secret Order, based on the knowledge taught by his sister and the information of the Church of Evernight, Klein had speculated that the Zaratul family had a deep relationship with the Secret Order.

Klein withdrew his thoughts and continued reading the diary.

"After learning I'd become a 'Universal,' Mr. Zaratul said I'd chosen a path destined to be difficult but relatively safe in the early stages... He told me his Sequence 9 was a 'Fortune Teller.'"

"Surprisingly, he also told me that Sequence Nine of Eve's Path is 'Assassin'. How cool! It would be great if I could have met Eve before becoming a Beyonder, so that I could become an 'Assassin'."

Uh……

I wonder how the Emperor would react when he found out that Sequence 7 Assassin is a Witch... Klein thought with some curiosity.

"I was very curious about the relationship between Mr. Zaratul and Eve, but Mr. Zaratul only said, 'My ancestors had a good relationship with Him.'"

"So? So? What's your relationship with Eve? Your ancestors had a good relationship with Eve, what about you?"

"I deliberately mocked him, saying, 'Does every 'Fortune Teller' always say half things and hide the truth, never making things clear?' And he's clearly a High-Sequence Expert, so he no longer needs to play the role of 'Fortune Teller'!" "That Mr. Zaratul... a relic of the Antigonus family."

"Obviously, this can only happen after I become a core member of the Church of the God of Craftsmen..."

"...at low sequence levels...it might even take as little as a month..."

a month...

No wonder my sister was so surprised. The information of Mr. Zaratu needs to be updated. The fastest record now is half a month.

"I continued to ask...smiling without saying anything."

"Go to hell and laugh without saying a word. When I become a high-sequence expert, I'll beat up a 'divineer' whenever I see one!"

Audrey looked at the Fool, who was shrouded in gray fog, and wondered curiously about what Emperor Roselle had said.

"I kept you waiting."

The Fool's leisurely voice suddenly rang out, and Audrey hurriedly came back to her senses, almost losing her audience state. "It's our honor."

She pondered for a moment, then composed herself and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Hanged Man, I haven't found the six crystal feathers of the Blue Shadow Falcon. However, I've written to my brother and asked him to help find them. Perhaps I can give them to you next week."

The Hanged Man nodded. He had just been promoted and was not in a hurry to find materials.

Audrey glanced at the party members, pondered for two seconds, and then said, "I want some clues about the Psychological Alchemy Society."

Although she doesn't want to join the secret organization now, she still needs to contact the members of the Psychological Alchemist Society if she wants to obtain the audience's subsequent formula. After all, good luck cannot always be there, and she can't encounter the formula she wants at the party again.

Eve glanced at Alger, confirming he had no intention of speaking. She then said, "The Psychological Alchemy Society is less organized than other secret organizations. Most of its members are psychologists or psychology enthusiasts. Miss Justice could try to reach out to these people. Perhaps you can find a member of the Psychological Alchemy Society."

"Loose?" Audrey blinked and asked curiously, "Why is Psychological Alchemy more loose than other secret organizations?"

Miss Justice looked at the Queen with a sharp gaze, but unfortunately, the gray fog obscured her view of the Queen. "I will pay for this knowledge."

"I don't know much," Eve mused, glancing at the Hanged Man across from her and asked, "Do you need a private conversation?"

"No." Audrey followed Eve's gaze to Alger and shook her head.

Eve lay back, half leaning against the backrest. After a few seconds of deliberation, she said, "The Psychological Alchemy Society was originally a seminar for psychology enthusiasts. However, they were fortunate to obtain the 'treasure' left by Hermes. By mastering the audience, they gradually developed into a secret organization. It has existed for the past two hundred years."

"Hermes?" Audrey's eyes widened slightly, almost losing her spectator status. "Mr. Hermes is also a Beyonder? A high-sequence 'spectator'?"

Alger couldn't help but open his eyes wide and look at the "Queen".

Hermes, the famous in history!
"I'm sorry, I don't know." Eve spread her hands, expressing her helplessness. "Perhaps this Mr. Hermes is not the Mr. Hermes we know."

Audrey lowered her head in disappointment, puffing out her cheeks in frustration. Then she reacted and immediately restrained her movements. She glanced left and right, making sure no one noticed her movements, and then calmly returned to the state of the audience, as if nothing had happened.

"I'm very satisfied with this knowledge." Audrey sat upright on the bronze chair, her hands clasped in her lap. She observed Alger carefully for two seconds, confirming that he had no intention of adding anything. Then she opened her mouth and asked, "What compensation do I need for this knowledge?"

"Agate Peacock Egg," Eve adjusted her sitting position. "But the value of that knowledge isn't enough to exchange for an Agate Peacock Egg, so I'll pay you extra, either knowledge or materials. If I can, I'll do my best to help Miss Justice complete it."

Audrey nodded, wondering what other knowledge she needed. In fact, she wanted to ask a lot, such as knowledge about other secret organizations, but after thinking for two seconds, Audrey decided not to ask and save the reward for later.

"How should I deliver the agate peacock egg to you?" Audrey asked.

"Maybe we can give it a try."

A deep voice came from the head of the long table.
