Rise from the coffin and rebuild the vampire empire

Chapter 41: Not All Players Are Lawful

Chapter 41: Not All Players Are Lawful

After determining the basic reform guidelines for future agriculture, Karen and Uther left the newly established area.

It is indeed just the beginning. So far, only a few dozen acres of arable land have been reclaimed in the reclamation area, which is far from the small phased goals set before.

There is no way. If they just want to reclaim the land, it would actually be very fast, but now it is different. They have to cut down trees, clear weeds, rocks, and bushes first. These tasks take up most of the pioneers' time.

The dozens of acres of land that had just been cleared now had to be plowed again because of the advent of the new heavy plow. The initial reclamation using the light plow obviously did not meet Karen's requirements.

As the camp expanded, this small goal became bigger and bigger, and the burden on the loggers and pioneers became heavier.

The small goal that Karen set for the reclaimed area was not an exaggeration. In the past, when the empire used light plows to cultivate land, the grain yield ratio was about one to three or one to four. To feed an ordinary family, it might even take dozens of acres of land to cultivate land. The extensive planting method did greatly reduce the land utilization rate.

But now it is different. For the same area of arable land, the harvest must be at least several times higher. Karen's ideal harvest ratio is at least about one to twelve, which is at least not much different from the level in ancient China. Taking into account factors such as soil fertility, this ratio may be further increased.

If you plant 30 kilograms of wheat, you must harvest at least 360 kilograms of grain. Even if you only harvest for one season, it can barely meet the standard of supporting one person with one acre of land.

The climate of the New World can be described as spring all year round, with good weather, sufficient sunlight, and no shortage of rain. Three harvests a year are not a problem at all. It can be said that God is feeding us.

There are currently 750 people in the camp. With reasonable crop rotation, and the harvest from fishing and hunting, 750 acres of land are enough to maintain the most basic self-sufficiency, but agricultural production certainly cannot be pushed to such an extreme. Therefore, Karen’s previous small goal for the reclamation area was to reclaim at least 1,000 acres of land.

Considering that a new group of immigrants will soon arrive with Trevor's ship, this number may have to be further increased to 1,500 acres. Agricultural self-sufficiency is indeed a long and arduous task, and in the short term we still have to rely on the food reserves in the camp.

Fortunately, there is enough food stored in the camp’s warehouse, which can at least support the entire camp through the initial rapid development without any major problems.

Uther really invested a lot of money, which is why he couldn't give up the camp and was determined to stay there at all costs. He had invested the first half of his life in this camp.

"Collect the cavalry and come with me tonight."

Karen gave Uther an order, but didn't say what to do specifically.

"Yes, my lord."

Uther didn't ask any more questions and immediately made arrangements. The current number of cavalry in the camp was fixed at ten people, which was already a lot, after all, they were all full-time professional soldiers.

They eat what the horses chew, and one person consumes the amount of four or five people, mainly because the horses eat so much. Therefore, agricultural production cannot be pushed to the extreme, and enough room must be left.

As night fell, the team gathered in front of the camp gate. There were fourteen cavalrymen in total, all fully dressed. The fur of the horses they rode was faintly red, all blessed by Karen's blood, and had faster speed and endurance at night.

"Why is Kevin here?"

Karen looked at Kevin who was following behind Uther. The young man was dressed similarly to his father, all in silver and white.

Of course, Kevin was not wearing heavy armor. He was wearing leather armor with a cloth cover and a simple white wolf skin on his shoulders. Among the cavalry present, only Karen and Uther were wearing heavy armor. Uther's outfit could be regarded as a "village good suit".

"He insisted on following."

Uther was a little helpless, but fortunately Lyle was at home watching over him. If Kevin was willing to follow, he could follow. It was a good opportunity for them to exercise together.

"Set off."

Karen nodded without further questioning. He gave the order, turned his horse, and the horse, faintly glowing with blood in the night, rushed out, with the other cavalrymen following closely behind him.

Under the moonlight, a group of cavalrymen roared past. The target location was one that Karen had chosen long ago and had already decided on on the way back.

Not long after, they rushed all the way to the target camp. It seemed that the camp had just been built not long ago. Even the most basic layer of walls had not been built. Most people were still crowded in simple shacks.

"Herod!"

The horses neighed, and Karen led the team to stop on a small hill not far from the camp. He did not charge in directly because the simple camp was currently in chaos.

"Father, are they having internal strife?"

Elena was riding a horse, standing behind Karen, with a pair of ruby-like eyes flashing red. She was wearing a red leather armor, holding a standard long sword in her hand, and a thin red veil covering her face.

"It's better to come sooner than to come sooner."

Karen smiled. This was really a good show. The camp was in chaos and fires were everywhere. But there were actually only five or six people making trouble, and they all looked very excited.

This sensitive number made Karen start to doubt the identities of these people.

"Keep alive."

Karen gave an order, and the cavalrymen behind him immediately rushed out. Uther, Kevin, and Elena led ten cavalrymen into the camp, leaving the camp defenseless and allowing them to run away.

In the camp, a young man was holding a knife and excitedly killing the fleeing people, driving away these timid immigrants.

Next to this man were several other humans with equally excited expressions.

"Fuck! Isn't this better than giving him love?!"

Someone exclaimed in amazement, saying that the degree of freedom in this game was simply unimaginable, and the scale was so large that it was almost impossible!
"Our summoner's personality is really interesting. He's ambitious and vicious. If you give him a knife, he'd really kill!"

Several players also had weapons in their hands, following the summoner and showing off their power. Some of them had blood on their hands, and killing people had no psychological burden for them.

"Da da da!"

The sound of horse hooves was not noticeable in the chaotic camp. By the time the players finally reacted, the horses with a faint red glow on their bodies had already galloped in front of them.

"Pfft!"

A head flew out, blood gushed out, and splashed all over Elena. She was in the lead, her expression grim but with a hint of a smile.

"What the hell! What is this?!"

Several players cried out in surprise, but were immediately killed one by one by Uther, Kevin and the cavalrymen who followed behind. Only the leader was left, surrounded by the cavalrymen.
