Among the other three, the 8th Dalai - Qiangbai Gyatso, the 4th Jebtsundamba Khutuktu - Lobsang Tulku Batan Wangshuk and the 6th Panchen Erdeni - Bandan Yeshe are all in Qingtang.

Moreover, the Fourth Jebtsundamba was only six years old and was the nephew of the Eighth Dalai Lama, Jhangpa Gyatso.

It can be said that the control of Qingtang by the central government represented by the Qing Dynasty was finally established after Fukangan counterattacked the Gurkhas.

The previous minister in Tibet was more like an angel in Tibet, who could not take care of many things at all.

Then in 1846, facing the British's aggressiveness, Qishan submitted a memorial asking the Minister in Tibet to give up the financial power of Qingtang and the control over the training of the Tibetan army. The Minister in Tibet then became an enhanced version of the Angel in Tibet.

If we ignore this, and Dayu does not accept the Qing Dynasty's assets outside the Eighteen Provinces of Han, not only will the Qing Dynasty's existing strength be overwhelmed by the locals, but Your Majesty will also face immense resistance if he wishes to deploy military forces to these areas in the future."

As for how important the Western Regions and Outer Northeast were, which is understood by later generations, many people lamented the loss of the Ili River Valley, Lake Balkhash, Vladivostok, Sakhalin Island, Lake Baikal, etc.

I wish I could go back to that era and protect these family businesses for my descendants.

But in the eyes of people at that time, these places were completely barren lands where there was no need to spend money.

Even more than a hundred years later, Sun Yat-sen still said that he only wanted the eighteen provinces of Han.

This is the limitation of history. People at that time did not think that a Han regime needed to occupy those places, nor did they think that it could not occupy these places for a long time.

It can be said that from the court to the people, no one would support spending money on these places like the Qing Dynasty did.

There is currently only one way to break it.

It was Mo Zibu who, before those civil servants who only cared about their own interests, took practical action to accept the Qing Dynasty's legacy outside the Eighteen Provinces of Han, set up the framework, and first shouldered what currently seemed to be a negative asset.

But for Emperors Yongzheng and Qianlong, their achievements in expanding territory can be acknowledged, in order to win the hearts of the Mongols in the north and south of the desert and the barbarians outside the Great Wall."

"When Zhu Yuanzhang recognized the Mongol Yuan Dynasty as legitimate, it was actually because the Han people in the north had not been under the rule of the south for hundreds of years.

Only one in ten Han people survive in places like Hexi and Longyou, and in the eyes of the southern Han people, they are of little value. Therefore, recognizing the Mongol Yuan also means recognizing that Hexi and Longyou are Han territory, and even if it costs a fortune, they should be recovered.

They were adapted to fighting in the high-altitude snow-capped mountains of the snowy region, and their combat capabilities were greatly improved in the entanglement with the Qing Dynasty. Therefore, they had strong combat effectiveness and made great contributions to the counterattack against the Gurkhas.

Mo Zibu then said to Zheng Jinshui, "Once you arrive in Chengdu, you must recruit Tibetans from the Jiarong region and be prepared to enter Tibet at any time. I will also transfer Zhu Shedou, the general of Guizhou, to assist you."

Zhu Shedou also participated in the counterattack on the snowy plateau in history. He is one of the few people that Mo Zibu vaguely remembers.

After a while, the Third Zhangjia opened his eyes and looked at Mo Zibu for a moment before greeting him. "It seems that Your Majesty intends to continue the previous Qing Emperor's policy towards our religion."

"Come, give the Grand Master a seat!" Mo Zibu first asked someone to bring a yellow brocade stool, and then he returned to the throne and let the Third Jamyang Khyentse sit to his lower left.

"Times change, and things change naturally." Mo Zibu smiled, "The world has come to this point, and the Qing Dynasty has made its share of mistakes, but it has also made its own contributions.

Now that the Sixth Panchen Lama has passed away, Qingtang is in the hands of the Eighth Dalai Lama, and the Fourth Jebtsundamba Khutuktu is the nephew of the Eighth Dalai Lama.

Your Majesty has overthrown the Qing Dynasty. The Eight Banners of the Damu Mongols and the Thirty-Nine Tribes of Hor have lost their support from the Central Plains and are unable to take care of themselves.

Rasa has never been so powerful. Even if Your Majesty wants to avoid war, and the Eighth Dalai Lama doesn't want to use it, the people below will not agree."

The Eight Banners of Damu Mongolia mentioned by the Third Jamyang Khyentse were Mongolian tribes that roamed in Qingtang Dangxiong and Nagqu. They were originally subordinates of Lobsang Danjin of the Khoshut Mongolians in Qinghai.

The Thirty-Nine Tribes of Khor are similar, and were once part of the Khoshut Khanate.

After the defeat of Lobsang Danjin, these people became the main military force of the Qing court to control Qingtang.

In all the battles to pacify the Qingtang affairs, the local soldiers and generals recruited were mainly Damu Mongols, supplemented by the thirty-nine tribes of Hor.

Now, the Qing court, the strongest support that the Eight Banners of Damu and the Thirty-Nine Tribes of Hor had in suppressing Resa, is gone. In order to survive, they will most likely have to make peace with the Resa authorities.

"If the Master agrees, I am willing to send Hongli to Songzhu Temple for resettlement and assign thirty former Qing Dynasty eunuchs to serve him. The Grand Master can also visit him."
