Chapter 22 The Figure on the Ward Wall

The next day.

It took Green and Vanessa four trips to move all the things that needed to be moved from the apartment to the villa.

For the entire next day, the two of them were busy tidying up their new home in the villa.

"what……"

Vanessa stood in the living room with her hands on her hips, looking satisfied.

She looked around her new home, which was already beginning to feel cozy, and felt that every inch of the air was filled with the scent of happiness.

Moreover, I have to say that the previous owner's renovation was very tasteful.

The gorgeous crystal chandeliers, the carved solid wood furniture, and the classical oil paintings hanging on the walls, every detail made Vanessa very satisfied.

“This house is really worth buying!”

Vanessa walked behind Green, who was fiddling with his desk, and hugged him from behind with open arms: "I can hardly find any fault with him."

Green felt the warm touch on his back and smiled knowingly.

"Of course, we got lucky this time."

"So."

Vanessa turned to Green, put her arms around his neck, and said with a lingering look in her eyes, "Should we try the bathtub here?"

"Right on my mind!"

Green laughed and hugged Vanessa in his arms like a princess.

When he was about to go to the bathroom, the cell phone in his pocket suddenly rang.

"Who?"

Vanessa showed a hint of dissatisfaction on her face when she was disturbed. She leaned over to see who was calling.

When she saw the phone number displayed on the screen, her eyes were full of confusion.

"Why would the police call you?"

The number on the screen was the ten-digit phone number of the local police station.

The reason why Vanessa recognized it was because she had called this number before to report the case.

"I do not know either."

Green shrugged and answered the phone.

"Hello."

"Hello, Mr. Green."

A clear female voice came from the other end of the line: "I'm Officer Sandy from the County Police Department. I was the one who took your statement last time at the police station."

Upon hearing this, Green immediately thought of the female police officer with long golden hair.

"Oh, hello officer, I remember you."

"Cough cough..."

Sandy cleared her throat and continued, "I'm calling to inform you of something. Officer James woke up ten minutes ago and wants to see you."

"Now?"

"Yes, now?"

"Okay, I'll be there right away."

After hanging up the phone, Green saw Vanessa's questioning look.

"Sorry, James wants to see me now, I have to go over there."

"Ok."

Vanessa is not the kind of girl who makes trouble for no reason.

Although she was disappointed, she still reached out and hugged Green: "Go early and come back early."

"Do not worry."

Green kissed Vanessa's forehead gently: "Don't wait for me, go to sleep if you are tired, I will be back as soon as possible."

……

Half an hour later, Green arrived at the ward floor where James was.

There were two police officers on duty outside James' ward door, one of whom was Sandy who had called him to come over.

"You finally came."

When Sandy saw Green appear, her face lit up with joy.

She hurried forward a few steps and introduced the situation inside to Green.

"Officer James is in good condition, but he has lost some of his memory and doesn't recognize us colleagues."

Sandy showed a worried expression. "The only thing he said when he woke up was 'Send Green Murray to see me.' Apart from this sentence, he didn't say anything else no matter what we asked."

After saying this, she brought Green to the door of the ward.

"Go in, he's still waiting for you."

Sandy said softly and reached out to open the door.

"Thank you."

Green didn't say anything, nodded to Sandy, and got up to go into the ward. This was a single room, and James was the only patient in it.

Green closed the door gently and came to the bed.

"James?"

He looked at James, who had his eyes closed on the hospital bed, and tried to call out.

The magic circle on the wrist did not respond at all.

"James?"

Green tried to shout again.

This time James finally reacted.

I saw his eyelids move a few times, and then he slowly opened his eyes.

At the same time, Green felt the burning sensation coming from the magic circle.

"Why!"

The moment James saw Green, he became very excited.

His body suddenly tensed and he reached out to grab Green's wrist.

His body shook so violently that the respirator on his face fell off.

"Why!"

James stared at Green with a ferocious expression on his face: "Why didn't you return the silver coins to them?"

Hiss!

Green looked down and saw that the sleeve of his clothes had been torn open by James.

Looking at James again, the poor man was already foaming at the mouth, but he didn't relax the strength of his hands at all!

"Hold him down!"

Green whispered an order.

As his voice fell, two Night Bat Regiment soldiers appeared in front of the bed like ghosts.

They forcibly pried James' fingers apart and then held him tightly on the bed.

Green looked at James, who was struggling like a fish on the shore, with a gloomy expression.

If this continues, James' life may be in danger.

"Fuck Fuck!"

Green gritted his teeth and reached out to press James' forehead.

As his mind moved, a golden light quietly attached to his palm.

"Get out of here!"

Green growled softly, increasing the strength in his hands.

"Ahhhh!!!"

James let out a creepy roar, as if he was enduring great pain.

After a few seconds, he suddenly shuddered all over and then fell silent.

"call……"

Green tentatively withdrew his hand, and James still lay quietly on the bed.

Just as he wanted to check on James' condition, the door of the ward was slammed open.

The moment that person came in, the Night Bat Regiment soldiers turned into a shadow and disappeared in the ward.

"Put your hands up!"

The person who came in was another police officer who was on duty outside the ward.

He looked at Green nervously, his hands tightly gripping the gun handle.

"Relax!"

Green opened his hands to show that he meant no harm: "I didn't do anything!"

However, this did not reassure the police officer.

He continued to point the gun at Green: "Lean slowly toward the wall and put your hands behind your back."

Upon hearing this, Green couldn't help but look up at him. He saw beads of sweat on the police officer's face, and he was obviously a newcomer.

"Ugh……"

With a helpless sigh, Green slowly stepped back.

Just as he was about to retreat to the corner, he heard a scream.

"what is that?!"

The rookie police officer was staring at Green's back with wide eyes, his face full of disbelief.

Subconsciously, Green turned his head sharply.

On the wall behind him, there were several figures wearing tall crowns.

In the blink of an eye, the figure disappeared, as if it had never appeared.
