Chapter 39 Starting over
"Traveling to a place like this?"

Green raised his eyebrows and looked at the man and woman in front of him.

The boy who called himself David shrank his neck and nodded cautiously.

"We had planned to travel south by road, but during the day our tire was punctured by rotten wire on the road. We had no choice but to abandon the vehicle and walked for half an hour according to the map to find this place."

As he spoke, a pained expression appeared on his face: "The boss here said that as long as he gave him $1,000, he would help us tow the car over. I paid the money and still haven't seen the car."

Green smiled when he heard that.

He pointed at the piles of abandoned vehicles in the yard and said, "The wire on the road must have been put there by these freaks to trick people like you into staying here. It seems they've already harmed quite a few people."

Hearing this, David nodded sharply.

Compared to those deformed-looking weirdos, the Green in front of him was obviously more convincing.

Not to mention, he had just witnessed Green's skills with his own eyes and didn't dare to refute Green's words at all.

"My name is Green. I was planning to go to Houston, but I took the wrong road and ended up here."

Green saw David's embarrassment and took the initiative to step forward and extend his hand.

"Hello Mr. Green, thank you for saving us!"

Seeing this, David quickly reached out and pulled up the woman next to him, and shook hands with Green.

Then he saw that Sarah didn't move, so he quickly pulled the corner of Sarah's clothes.

Sarah, who was frightened out of her wits, shuddered. Seeing Green and David looking at her, she smiled a smile that was uglier than crying.

"OK OK."

Seeing that the two men looked defensive as if they had seen a tiger, Green waved his hands casually without getting angry.

After all, the yard was full of corpses, and it was a good thing that the man and woman in front of them could stand up.

Most ordinary people are accustomed to various horror movies and completely underestimate the shock of facing a corpse in real life.

When most people see this kind of scene for the first time, their bodies will go into emergency mode and their instinctive fear of death will be amplified.

Some people with weak tolerance may even faint on the spot.

"You guys should go back to the house and rest for a while. I'll take you to the next town when it gets light."

“Thank…thank you!”

When David and the other man heard this, they both breathed a sigh of relief.

They hurriedly thanked him and ran back to their room.

Click!

Green heard the sound of room number two being locked and shook his head helplessly.

"Stitch, go back to your room first. I'll go see what's going on with these freaks."

However, after hearing this, Stitch did not choose to go back to the room. A hint of reluctance appeared on his face, and his two big ears drooped.

Seeing this, Green sighed helplessly.

"Okay, let's go and take a look together."

As soon as he finished speaking, Stitch's face turned excited. He used his hands and feet to climb onto Green's shoulders, with his two big ears standing up high.

Green reached out and touched Stitch's soft belly, then jumped into the yard.

The old man who fell from the second floor is not dead yet. There is blood foam at the corners of his mouth, and he is breathing in more than he is breathing out. He will not live long.

Green ignored him and looked at the bodies of several deformed monsters.

Compared with normal people, although these monsters' bodies are full of deformities, their strength and defense are much stronger than normal people.

If Green had not been strengthened by the magic circle, it would have been difficult for him to defeat these monsters.

Covering his mouth and nose with his hands, Green walked around the yard a few times, making sure that all the monsters had no chance of survival, and then returned to the hotel front desk.

He remembered the old man who came out of a house behind the front desk.

boom!
Kicking open the tattered door, Green took Stitch into the old man's room.

Like the rooms where the guests stayed on the second floor, the furniture here was also dirty.

The room was littered with various odds and ends, including radios, cell phones, car keys, and a pile of clothes as tall as a person in the corner.

"Damn it!" Green frowned and looked around, unable to help but curse.

How many people have these freaks killed to accumulate so much wealth!

Just when Green couldn't stand the stench in the room anymore and wanted to leave, Stitch suddenly tugged at his trouser leg.

"what?"

Green looked in the direction of Stitch's finger and saw a photo frame on the table beside him.

He frowned, took a few steps forward and picked up the photo frame.

Compared with other things in the room, the picture frame was spotless, and it was obvious that someone wiped it frequently.

Inside the photo frame, there are several photos neatly placed.

"It turns out they are all the old man's children!"

The moment he saw the photo, Green immediately understood why the old man was so angry when he saw him kill the monster.

The time span of the photos is very large. In the most faded photo, the younger version of the old man is holding a woman's hand and standing in the middle.

Next to the two of them stood six deformed children of varying sizes.

Several other photos record the growth of this family.

In the latest photo, the deformed child looks exactly like the corpse in the yard.

"A whole family of deformed children, could it be that the old man and his wife are married to close relatives?"

Green placed the picture frame back on the table and left the room with Stitch.

He didn't take it to heart.

He didn't feel any psychological burden for killing the old man's family.

These weirdos have killed countless innocent people, and the old man must have been involved.

Now he can be said to be getting rid of harm to the people.

Bringing Stitch back to the room, Green simply washed the blood off his hands and lay down on the bed with his clothes on.

There were still about three hours until dawn, so he could still get some sleep.

Glancing at Stitch who was curled up on the sofa, Green closed his eyes.

……

It was already eight o'clock in the morning when Green woke up.

He washed up slowly before knocking on the door of room number two with Stitch.

"Mr. Green."

David quickly opened the door, and the dark circles under his eyes were extremely obvious.

The same thing happened to Sarah behind him, with messy hair. It was obvious that neither of them had slept all night.

"Come on, I'll take you to the nearest town."

Seeing this, Green didn't say anything. He just turned and left the door after leaving a few words.

He was not worried that David and the others would refuse because he was the only one with a car here.

Sure enough, as soon as the car started, David and Sarah ran to the car with packages on their backs.

Seeing this, Green waved his hand and asked them to sit in the back.

After all, the passenger seat belongs to Stitch.

David and Sarah both thanked him and quickly sat in the back of the car, placing the package on their legs and then their hands on it.

He looked like a primary school student in the classroom, sitting upright and not daring to make any small movements.

Green glanced in the rearview mirror and said nothing.

He knew that the poor couple had not yet recovered from the shock of last night, and no matter how much he said, it would be useless.

"gone."

Green warned and stepped on the accelerator.
