Chapter 72 Interrogation
Hearing Green say this, James slowly put down the coffee cup in his hand.

A trace of difficulty appeared on his face.

"You know, Green, this isn't against the rules."

"I don't care about that."

Green was unmoved: "Just give me ten minutes. It shouldn't be difficult for you given your position, right?"

Hearing this, James looked carefully at Green's expression.

After a long time, he sighed softly.

"That's you. If it were someone else, I definitely wouldn't agree."

As he said that, he stood up and looked at Green: "Let's go."

Soon, Green followed him to the holding cell inside the police station.

This is used internally by the police station and is mainly used for short-term detention of prisoners.

The space inside is relatively small and the facilities are simple, with only a few alloy steps for prisoners to rest.

"This guy didn't commit a serious crime, but for safety reasons, we still arranged a separate room for him."

As James introduced them, he took Green to the last cell against the wall.

"Well, the doctor just checked him out. He's not seriously injured. He just needs to rest for a while."

He raised his chin in a gesture.

Green looked over and saw a figure curled up on the ground in the corner of the room.

"open the door."

Hearing this, James took out the key from his pocket and opened the iron lock of the prison.

As soon as the door opened, Green went in.

"Just ten minutes!"

Green gave a thumbs up without looking back, then walked behind the figure in the corner.

Before he could get close, a barely audible sound reached his ears.

Green frowned slightly and subconsciously slowed down his pace.

Judging from the direction of the sound, it came from the guy curled up in the corner.

As the distance got closer, the barely audible sound became clearer.

It was a language Green had never heard of before. The tone was very strange, as if it came from another world, with an indescribable eerie and weirdness.

Soon, Green was standing in the corner.

The guy who stole the body seemed to be completely unaware of Green's approach and continued to mutter to himself.

Green narrowed his eyes slightly, and there was no movement in the magic circle on his left wrist, indicating that the guy in front of him did not have any extraordinary powers.

Thinking of this, he raised his toes and gently kicked the figure in front of him.

The guy trembled slightly and finally stopped muttering.

He slowly turned around and looked at Green in front of him.

"I ask, you answer."

Green squatted down and spoke.

"It's you!"

The black man recognized Green and shuddered violently.

Apparently, he recalled the unpleasant memories in the forest.

"What's your name?"

Green asked the question on his own.

However, the black man just looked at him in horror and had no intention of answering at all.

Click!

With a crisp sound in the prison, the black man's shin bone broke at an alarming angle.

His body seemed to be struck by lightning, twisting instantly and letting out a shrill scream.

Immediately afterwards, footsteps were heard and James appeared outside.

"what happened?"

Through the iron fence, James saw the black man's broken calf at a glance.

"damn it!"

He quickly took out his key, unlocked the door and walked in.

"You can't do this, Green."

James knelt on the ground and checked the black man's wound, then looked up at Green: "This is against the rules."

"no problem."

Green smiled lightly and patted his shoulder: "This guy is not cooperating, so I can only do this. Besides, he is Haitian." Listening to the last sentence that Green deliberately emphasized, James couldn't help but sigh.

Green was right, the black man was Haitian.

He stood up and stood aside, saying, "There are still eight minutes left. Don't use this method anymore."

Judging from his appearance, he was obviously going to supervise Green's questioning on the spot.

Green just smiled slightly at James' behavior, then turned around and continued to look at the black man in front of him.

"You can see that no one can help you. Just answer my questions honestly and you'll be fine."

The black man held his broken calf and glared at Green in front of him with gritted teeth.

He had never seen such an inquiry before. Only a madman would do such a thing as violence if there was a disagreement!

However, despite their anger, the blacks quickly recognized the situation before them.

He took a deep breath and spoke while suppressing the pain.

"My name is Jacques."

"Very good, Jacques."

Green nodded with satisfaction and continued to ask, "How many of you came here?"

"Thirteen people."

"Where are the others?"

"I can't say!"

However, on this issue, the black man who called himself Jacques had a sad face and said: "If I tell him, Hougen will kill me!"

"Hougen?"

Green repeated the word, his eyes narrowing slightly.

In voodoo, Hougen is another name for male priests. They have a high status in the sect and are regarded by believers as the spokespersons of gods on earth.

"Is Hougen here?"

Hearing this, Jacques nodded quickly.

"Okay, let me change the question. How many Hougens are here?"

"Three!"

Perhaps worried that Green would attack again, Jacques answered the question immediately.

"Three?"

Green was slightly stunned.

Could it be the three black wizards who were killed on the street?

Thinking of this, he turned his head and looked at James.

Although James didn't know what Hougen was, he still understood the word "three".

As an old policeman, he reacted quickly.

“He doesn’t know what’s going on on the road.”

James shook his head and stood there with his arms folded.

"What happened on the road?"

Jacques obviously understood that this sentence concerned him, and asked back subconsciously.

However, what he got in response was a slap in the face.

Snapped!
Although Green tried his best to control his strength, after the slap, Jacques' right cheek still became red and swollen at a speed visible to the naked eye, and a trace of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.

"You'll be in even worse trouble next time you talk too much."

Green warned with a deadpan expression.

Jacques covered his right cheek, endured the pain and dared not say a word, for fear of being beaten again.

"Let's go."

Green stood up and turned to look at James who was standing beside him.

"Is this the end?"

James showed a hint of surprise on his face.

"I have asked all the questions that need to be asked."

Green nodded.

With his enhanced perception, ordinary people cannot hide their lies from him.

Judging from Jacques's performance just now, he was indeed telling the truth.

In other words, there were only three Hougens from the Voodoo Cult, and they all died at his hands.

At least in the days to come, I don’t have to worry about the weird voodoo dolls of voodoo.
