Chapter 47 Xiaonan
My name is Xiaonan, and I am an orphan.

The war broke out and I began to wander until a boy named Yahiko shared some food with me. Yahiko was very independent and courageous. He took me and me to survive in this chaotic world by stealing supplies.

I know stealing is wrong, but we just want to survive.

Later, I found a child named Nagato outside, and he was accompanied by a dog named "Little Dot". I gave him a piece of bread, but he didn't rush to eat it. Instead, he gave half to "Little Dot". I thought he was a good person, so I brought him back to the base that Yahiko and I had built together.

After Nagato joined us, our thefts became much smoother, as we could spare one person to attract the attention of the vendors. After we succeeded, we would often split up and flee.

Once, I met a boy named Uzumaki Tokio rummaging through a pile of garbage, scraps discarded by fishmongers. I felt sorry for him and shared one of the bread I had stolen with him. He just said "thank you" to me.

The next time I met him was when I was caught by a fishmonger. He suddenly rushed out from the garbage pile nearby and hit the fishmonger's toe hard with a wooden stick, so I was able to escape.

Toki is a man of loyalty, so I decided to take him back. Yahiko and Nagato both agreed to keep him, and even the little one cried out happily a few times.

I no longer remember what my home looked like before the war, but I am certain that the small cave with the bonfire is my new home, and they are my family. Together we keep each other warm in this chaotic world, and our only goal is to survive.

But a year later, we lost a family member.

We stumbled upon the battlefield between the Konoha Sannin and Hanzo, and the "little one" was killed by a flying detonating tag. Nagato was crying, Yahiko was clenching his fists, and Toki was staring at the battlefield in a daze. What was I thinking at the time?

I can't remember clearly, we only know that life is too fragile, so... we crave strength.

Because Yahiko hated Hanzo, we returned the extra supplies to the people at the market, took some food and water, and set out on a journey to find the Three Ninjas of Konoha. After finding them, we expressed our desire to learn ninjutsu.

Orochimaru wanted to kill us, thinking it would free us, but Jiraiya stopped him and offered to stay and take care of us. He then asked for our names, and when Tokisou told him his last name, Tsunade, who had already left, returned and tried to take Tokisou away.

We didn't agree, and Shixu didn't want to leave.

Until Teacher Jiraiya said that Tsunade was a member of Toki's clan... It's great that Toki still has a family.

After the war, Toki was already a Chunin in Konoha. He would always take on missions close to the Land of Rain and come to see us. He would always prepare lots of gifts and teach us some medical ninjutsu... Even though we were apart more often than we were together, we were still family.

Until war broke out again, and this time... I lost two members of my family. Yahiko was killed by Hanzo, the Salamander. Tokio tried to return to help us, but Tsunade caught up with him and killed him.

I wanted to take back Tokisou's body, but the masked man tried to stop me. I asked Nagato for his opinion, but he was persuaded by the masked man and decided to put the overall situation first.

Many years later, when the plan reached its final step, we decided to destroy Konoha with hatred. But when I was searching for Tsunade's whereabouts, I opened my eyes and closed them and returned to that bridge many years ago.

Just like last time, Tsunade took Toki away. But this time, I will not sit idly by and watch Toki travel back and forth between the two countries. I will follow Jiraiya-sensei to Konoha and bring Toki back!

he's mine!

……

On a sunny afternoon, under the endless clear sky.

"Is this Konoha?" Konan showed just the right amount of curiosity.

"Yes, this is the teacher's home." Jiraiya laughed a few times and walked through the gate with Konan, "We haven't seen each other for three years. I wonder if Tsunade and Orochimaru miss me." "Then... where is Toki?" Konan went straight to the point. She didn't want to stay in this place any longer. She just wanted to find Toki as soon as possible.

Jiraiya leaned over slightly and teased in her ear: "Oh~ Xiaonan has grown up. Can't wait to see your sweetheart?"

Konan was no longer surprised by his teacher's unreliable behavior: "Teacher Jiraiya, no wonder you can't find a girlfriend."

"This... ahem! This immortal is a romantic and suave man, and there's never a shortage of women around me... It's just that I haven't accomplished anything great yet, so I can't indulge in romantic affairs."

When Jiraiya is being stubborn, the best thing to do is to keep silent.

Konan shook off Jiraiya and walked straight ahead, but after a while, she stopped by the roadside and looked at herself in the mirror, dressed in a Rain Country outfit. A black robe wrapped her tightly from face to calves, making her look completely unattractive.

"When a girl wants to dress up, it must be because she's in a hurry to meet her loved one. I was right... Hehehe, Uzumaki Toki, just consider this as a way to repay the advice you gave me in your letter."

A faint smile flashed across Jiraiya's face, and then he coughed twice and walked forward with a serious look.

"Konan, come inside and take a look. Rain Country clothes are not comfortable to wear in Fire Country weather."

A hint of hesitation flashed across Konan's face: "Teacher Jiraiya, I don't have any money."

"Oh my... you've already come to Konoha, how could I possibly let you spend money?"

"Still not."

Konan refused again, but Jiraiya, with his vast theoretical knowledge, only lowered his voice slightly: "When you meet Tokisou, he'll also buy you a gift. Do you want to spend his money? Or... can you refuse his kindness?"

"Gifts don't have to be clothes."

"But there must be clothes among the gifts." Jiraiya answered confidently.

A few seconds later, Xiaonan walked into the clothing store, and when she came out, she had changed into a decent white dress.

The slope in front of the Senju Mansion was covered with red and yellow leaves, like a blanket to welcome Konan. The warm sunlight enveloped her, even the strands of her blue hair were reflected in the faint light.

When Shi Xu opened the door, the figure appeared so small that it gave off a sense of fragility. Her pretty face, rosy in the sunlight, wore a sweet smile, a color between fantasy and reality.

He raised his hand in astonishment and smiled slightly: "Long time no see."

The moment she saw Shi Xu, Xiaonan's obsession that had been suppressed in her heart for many years was finally released. She smiled with her eyebrows curved and her eyes were a little moist.

"Long time no see, Toki."
