Chapter 14: 14. Unicorn
Taiyi stood on the hillside of Infinite Mountain, looking up at the giant peak that seemed to touch the clouds.

Unlike his last time gazing out from the Gorgamon Forest, he had now traveled half of Faril Island, forging deep friendships with numerous Digimon and gaining a deeper understanding of the mysteries of the Digital World. He and Zeromaru grew stronger through battle after battle, their mutual trust and understanding growing stronger.

Tai had originally planned to explore other surrounding areas before climbing Infinite Mountain, but now, due to an unexpected change, he had to embark on the journey early.

However, unexpected situations that occur beyond your expectations are also part of the fun of adventure.

Upon seeing Taichi and Remaru, Unicornmon immediately condensed a blue ball of light—the Holy Light Cannon. Taichi leaped away the instant the Holy Light Cannon launched, and Remaru countered with V-Breath. The two attacks collided in mid-air, causing a violent explosion. Remaru's V-Breath, undiminished in power, continued to fire at Unicornmon.

Unicornmon flapped its wings and turned its body slightly in the air, easily avoiding the explosion. Taichi and Zeromaru had to withstand the wind pressure of the explosion to protect the unconscious Leomon and Ogremon from being blown off the mountain.

"We can't go on like this. The Unicorn's flying ability is too advantageous in this environment." Taiyi realized that they had to limit the Unicorn's maneuverability.

At this moment, Taichi suddenly had an idea and shouted to Zeromaru, "Zero, let's use wind pressure against him too!"

Zeromaru immediately understood and continuously used V-Gas Arrows while Unicorn was recovering, forming a strong whirlwind to limit Unicorn's speed.

Taichi sat firmly on Monogamon's back. Seeing the black gear stuck in his back, he swung his fist and punched it. "Don't lose to the power of darkness, Monogamon!"

With one punch, obvious cracks appeared on the surface of the black gear.

"Cheer up!"

Then, Taiyi threw a third punch, and the black gear finally couldn't hold on any longer. With a cracking sound, it turned into a pile of fragments.

The unicorn let out a final wail and fell from the sky.

Fortunately, Zeromaru noticed this in time. He immediately controlled the direction of the V-Gas Arrow, making Unicornmon fall towards him so that he would not fall directly to the ground.

After a moment, the unicorn regained its strength and stood up on all fours.

Taichi habitually explained to him what had just happened. When Unicornmon learned that he had attacked Taichi Reimaru and the two immobile Digimon under the influence of the black gear, he immediately lowered his head in shame.

The unicorn retracted his strength and gasped for breath. The previous battle and the elimination of the dark power this time consumed too much of his physical strength.

"Thank you for your hard work, Unicornmon." Taiyi touched Unicornmon's neck, and Unicornmon also rubbed Taiyi affectionately.

At this time, the unconscious Leomon opened his eyes, and his eyes had returned to normal. He subconsciously raised his head and saw Taichi and Zeromaru looking at him curiously. He wanted to stand up, but felt something pressing down on his body.

He looked down and saw Ogremon! He was fast asleep, leaning against his chest.

The violent impact caused Leomon to make an incomprehensible sound.
