Chapter 1650 Gao Laozhuang
The Chief Abbot of the Tang Dynasty was not very good at handling worldly affairs. He was far behind those "eminent monks" who were good at dealing with people. However, his experience of "drifting west" made him realize that the world is not black and white, and the gray area in the middle is actually very large.

He hurriedly grabbed Sun Wukong, saving the seriously injured Black Bear Demon's life.

"Wukong, this matter still needs to be handled by Guanyin Bodhisattva. So, please hurry up and I will stay here while you go to the South China Sea to look for Guanyin Bodhisattva."

In fact, the conflict between the two sides is not big, and it is not at the level of life and death. In the final analysis, it is just a problem of a well.

To go deeper, the Black Bear Demon abides by the law. The law may be a bit ridiculous, but you can't say that he is doing bad things, right?
As long as you give the local government a little benefit and use the connections of Guanyin Temple to smooth things over, it will not be difficult to build a well in the temple.

This is a trivial matter. The reason why Tang Seng didn't do this is simply because he had no money.

The little savings that White Dragon Horse had in Yingchoujian were given to the Buddha.
Sun Wukong didn't know what Tang Seng was thinking, but when Guanyin Bodhisattva was mentioned, the monkey calmed down.

He felt that he should give some face. It was indeed inappropriate to kill such a stubborn and law-abiding black bear in the Bodhisattva's Zen temple.

Who formulated this law? Could it be Guanyin Bodhisattva? He would go and ask.

"Okay, then I, Old Sun, will go to the South China Sea right away!" He used magic to imprison the black bear demon, warned the snake demon and the wolf demon, and then somersaulted to the South China Sea.

Guanyin Bodhisattva demonstrated the service spirit of "available on call" and was called over very quickly.

The appearance of the Bodhisattva had a great impact on the monks in the Zen temple. After negotiation, Tang Seng would take charge of the well matter and Guanyin Zen Temple would pay for it.

Doesn't Guanyin Temple know that digging a well is convenient? They know, but they are too wealthy to ask for it easily. If they take the initiative to contact the government, they will definitely ask for too much, not only the fur, but also the bones. Bodhisattva? Bodhisattva is useless at this time.

I can only drag it on.

It would be much better if Tang Seng showed up. To the local authorities, Tang Seng was a foreign monk, and a monk from the Tang Dynasty in the East. If you went to Chechi Kingdom or Jisai Kingdom, the deterrent power of the Tang Dynasty would be limited. After all, the distance was too far, and the Tang Dynasty had not developed space transmission technology, so it was out of reach. Now you are only about ten thousand miles away from the border of the Tang Dynasty, and the name of the Tang Dynasty is effective here.

The chief monk and the emperor's younger brother have a superior status. It's just a matter of building a well. If they want to build it, then build it. It's not like they haven't given him any benefits.

Since the well was in compliance with the law, the Black Bear Demon no longer bothered Tang Monk and his disciples. In view of his devotion to Buddhism and his strict adherence to the law, Guanyin Bodhisattva gave him a position as a Buddhist guardian.

Tang Seng and his disciples rested in the Zen temple for three days before setting out on their journey west again.

It was the twelfth lunar month when the master and disciple arrived at Yingchoujian. After walking for more than two months, they arrived at Guanyin Temple.

After leaving the Zen temple, we walked for another five or six days, and the spring atmosphere on the road became stronger and stronger.

"Wukong, the weather seems to be hotter than in previous years?" Tang Seng made small talk.

Sun Wukong carried the load without saying a word. He was thin and small, and it was not only unsightly but also uncomfortable for him to carry the load. He urgently wanted to find a special person to carry the load. He had previously thought that the Black Bear Demon was not bad, with broad shoulders and a silly look, and it was obvious that he was a good load-carrier. Unfortunately, Guanyin Bodhisattva acted too quickly, and the bear was taken away before he could even say a word.

In order to take revenge on Tang Seng, he had led the way into the wilderness. Now that he wanted to find a big enemy to carry the burden, he naturally had to go to a place where there were many people.

There are many residents near Guanyin Temple, and they live together in clans based on their surnames. This not only strengthens internal cohesion, but also helps to protect against bandits and robbers. Gao Laozhuang is one such area.

Sun Wukong only took two glances and realized that there was evil spirit here. Without saying anything, he decided to stay here. He would not go to a place where there was no evil spirit.

Tang Seng has a little understanding of Sun Wukong's character. He will not go to a good place. Gao Village looks very peaceful, but there may be some traps inside.

He said gently, "Wukong, let's stay here for one night and leave early tomorrow."

Sun Wukong was not willing to leave so early. He smiled and waved his hands: "Master, no hurry, no hurry! Let's wait and see."

Old Master Gao posted a notice at the gate of the manor to entertain guests from all over the world. As long as they had a skill, they could stay at the old master's house and get free food and accommodation.

Although he felt it was a bit troublesome, Tang Seng still went. He was short of money and had no other choice.

The master and his disciple were sleeping in the middle of the night when they heard a woman's voice coming from outside the village: "Zhu Ganglie! Hand over Miss Cuilan quickly! Otherwise, I will flatten your pigpen!"

A thick, nasal voice rang out from the manor: "You dead rabbit, go play with your jade pestle, don't even think about competing with me, Old Pig, for Miss Gao!"

Tang Seng sat up dazed and saw Sun Wukong already leaning against the window, watching the fun with an excited look on his face.

"What luck, what luck! I, Old Sun, thought that the aura there was a bit strange before, but I never expected that it was an acquaintance!" He didn't sit properly, but just squatted on the chair, patting his legs and chuckling.

Tang Seng didn't know what he was laughing at, so he looked in the direction he was pointing and saw a black cloud and a white light mixed together in the air. He could also faintly hear the sound of weapons clashing, and it sounded like the fight was extremely intense.

The villagers in the village closed their doors tightly and dared not make any sound. It was obvious that this was not the first time they had encountered such a scene and they all acted very experienced.

A voice rang out from the white light in the air: "Cui Lan, I've stopped this plague pig. Run quickly! Let's go far away and live a carefree life together!"

A roar echoed from the dark clouds: "Bah! Cuilan is my legitimate wife, how could she elope with a wild rabbit like you? For the sake of the fairy Chang'e, I have always shown some kindness to you, don't be so ungrateful!"

"Don't you know what's good for you? If it weren't for the friendship we once had, I would have skinned you alive! Get out of here immediately, I only want Cuilan!"

Tang Sanzang was completely bewildered. Was Cui Lan a man or a woman? Why were both parties trying to win him (her) over? Having been a monk for thirty years, he simply couldn't understand.

Just as he was thinking about it, Old Master Gao knocked on the door gently, and Tang Seng hurriedly invited the old master into the house.

"Holy monk, please save me!" As soon as the old man saw him, he knelt down without saying a word.

Tang Monk quickly helped the man up and said, "Old man, please get up quickly. I wonder what happened in your village?"

The old man sighed, "What happened? I'm a poor old man. Gaojiazhuang has been targeted by monsters, two of them!"
