It is difficult to become an immortal, and it is even more difficult to become a saint.

He told the Yellow-browed Boy to keep it secret and not to leak the news.

"This news must not be known to Moonlight Tathagata, do you understand?"

The yellow-browed boy pointed to the heavens and swore, "Master, rest assured. I will never leak any information. That girl has usurped your position as a Buddha. I will never reconcile with her!"

Maitreya sighed secretly. Buddhism is indeed huge now. Its influence spreads throughout the East and the West. From the thirty-three heavens to the eighteen levels of hell, there are Buddhist disciples everywhere.

But with greater power comes more trouble. He now particularly misses the good old days when all the disciples of the Western Church were united in building the Western world. At that time, poverty was real, but happiness was also real. If he had a choice, he would still like to go back to that time.

He and Medicine Master are disciples of Jie Yin, while Ksitigarbha and Mahasthamaprapta are disciples of Cundi. However, Jie Yin had been in seclusion and practicing hard in the past, and it was Cundi who taught them. Cundi was very good to his disciples and basically responded to their requests.

Now Zhunti was injured by Luohou with the Six Soul Banner and the God-killing Spear, and is in seclusion to repair his holy body. Jie Yin is the most ascetic monk in the prehistoric times. After handing over the affairs of the sect to Moonlight Tathagata, he also went into seclusion.

Maitreya would not call out the saint who is in seclusion just for such a small matter of his own. He does not have that courage.

Ask Moonlight Tathagata for help on this matter? No one is stupid. As long as he utters the word "White Lotus", people will be able to calculate that this is his chance to attain enlightenment.

Now Moonlight Tathagata’s status in the sect is higher than Maitreya’s, but his cultivation is lower than Maitreya’s. This is Maitreya’s biggest advantage. Otherwise, as a future Buddha, who would want to hang out with him?

If Maitreya could further advance in his cultivation, this advantage would increase tenfold.

No matter what, the matter of this white lotus cannot be known to "outsiders".

In the past, Zhao Gongming could not find his chance to attain enlightenment even with the Twenty-Four Dinghai Pearls. After he got the Qiankun Ruler, he felt like there was a layer of window paper between him and the truth. Guangchengzi naturally would not rely on the White Lotus as a single trick. He caught a glimmer of hope and felt that the White Lotus might be able to split Buddhism, so he did so. As for how much effect the White Lotus could have now, he himself did not know.

After leaving the underworld, he went straight to Putuo Mountain in the South China Sea.

Guanyin, Lei Shen, Lu Ya, these Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have a very transcendent status in Buddhism. They have their own temples and do not need to go to Lingshan to eat "big pot meals". Lingshan's jurisdiction over them is naturally small, and each of them is like an independent small force within Buddhism.

Guanyin did not accept any disciples, but did not refuse Buddhist disciples from coming to the South China Sea to practice. At that time, Putuo Mountain was known as the "Buddhist Kingdom of Sea and Sky".
