Chapter 682 Jack and George's Great Fortune

Chapter 682 Jack and George's Great Fortune (Part 1)

"Zhao, why are you still following us? Is it really necessary to take these two small fry who have only been at sea for a few months and whose combined bounty is only two million?"

In the Western Sea, a valuable luxury yacht was speeding across the water. The young man in the driver's seat kept adjusting the rather complicated-looking instrument equipment while complaining incessantly.

In response to his complaint, his companion, half-lying and half-leaning in the corner, raised an eyebrow and waved the relatively inexpensive wristwatch on his wrist:
"The news has been updated. Our bounties have increased. Mine is still one million, but yours is five million. Now your bounty as captain is higher than mine. Aren't you happy?"

"I'm so happy!"

It's amazing how society really trains people. George has only been away from home for a short time, and he's already learned to swear.

However, facing this former landlord's foolish son, Jack could only helplessly prop himself up and sigh:
"If only you had known then what you know now! Did you really think you were the only genius? There are so many Earth Fragment users, so many people who have inherited the legacy, and you're the only one who has learned it? The nail that sticks out gets hammered down, and you were the first to jump out. Who else would we hit if not you!"

"No, I only got a few square meters! Not even enough to build a toilet!"

George reiterated through gritted teeth, while Jack slapped his forehead, feeling that his partner's mind was still a bit foggy—

"Are you stupid? Is this a matter of size? Everyone knows that after this spell comes out, the Sea People will start to decline. It's like a shark that's about to die. Everyone knows it's going to die, and everyone's hoping someone else will go up and kill it quickly. But no one is willing to go up themselves. Why? Because everyone knows that even if it's about to die, this thing can still take an unlucky guy with it when it goes crazy!"
"And you, our brave, fearless, intelligent, and genius young master George, bravely stepped forward when everyone else wished they could hide in their shells, and created a piece of land using the most stimulating method for the people of the sea! Oh my god, now the only one chasing after us is a major, this is already incredibly lucky!"

“Others have learned it too!” George blushed at Jack’s sarcastic words and wanted to apologize, but his youthful pride made him feel embarrassed.

Jack was even more speechless after hearing what he said:

"Yes, others have learned it too. You know, I know, everyone in the entire ocean knows that the rulers of the seven island groups are learning it so as not to suffer when they return to the land in the future."

"Those who seek the land are learning; this is the ultimate dream they have pursued for centuries."

"The pirates are learning this. Even if we set aside all the irrelevant details, it's still a practical little trick for building a shelter at sea."

"Even among the people of the sea, some should be learning it now, not for practical use, but to find a way to break it!"

"But why did you have to use it in public? I mean, can't we at least do it somewhere away from people? Do you know how I felt when I came back from the bathroom and heard that you had done something amazing?"

George's face flushed red and then turned pale as Jack spoke, and finally he bowed his head and apologized:

"It was my fault. I'll definitely discuss it with you next time!"

"Uh, I didn't... never mind!" Jack was taken aback by George's apology and didn't know what else to say.

A brief silence fell, but it was quickly broken by an alarm on the radar.

George immediately issued commands to the ship's AI. Three drones took off, transmitting new footage directly back. However, within moments, two of the drones had crashed, and the remaining one probably wouldn't last much longer. "Tsk, we're running low on drones, aren't we?" Jack leaned closer to the control panel, staring at the footage transmitted by the drones, seemingly making some kind of assessment. George nodded and said:

"I previously traded a drone production module with some senior land seekers, but we don't have enough raw materials on our ship. We still have about a hundred of these low-end reconnaissance drones left."

"Then stop production for now and prioritize the supply of combat modules. Although it's a major-class ship, I still feel there's something wrong with it."

Jack's words weren't just based on intuition. If we're talking about a major, he and George had already fought one when they first started out. Although they didn't win, they managed to escape with their lives. Now, the two of them believed that their strength had improved significantly, and they thought that dealing with a major shouldn't be a problem.

But what the two of them knew, the Sea People couldn't possibly not know. After being reminded by Jack, George also realized what was going on and immediately issued the relevant instructions to the ship's AI.

The equipment that had been operating and was trying to replenish the drones immediately stopped, and the few remaining raw materials on the ship were directed to supply the weapon modules.

However, George's ship was ultimately just a fishing boat for recreational purposes. Although its advanced technology from a previous civilization made it superior to most pirate ships, it was still somewhat inferior to a warship blessed by the sea god.

"Hold on tight!"

With a sudden shout from George, Jack, though unable to understand the instrument panel, realized what was happening and grabbed the passenger-side railing. George, meanwhile, unleashed his full power, causing the illusion field to expand and distort various signals, including light, heat, and electromagnetic fields. Then, a series of explosions rang out, and huge waves surged, causing the entire ship to shake violently.

"Zhao, when did the Sea People's warships get equipped with missiles?!"

Jack activated his divine magic, using the earth's weight to stabilize the swaying ship, muttering incredulously. Only then did George have time to retrieve the previously recorded footage. With the AI's detailed analysis, a set of markers quickly appeared before them—

"These are the Sea People stationed on the Free Islands. They must have received funding from the Free Islands government. These bloodsuckers!"

Jack, puzzled by George's words, asked:
"Why are people from the Seven Great Islands still supporting the Sea People at this time?"

"Of course, it's because they like the current situation!" George said viciously. "Not all organizations crave land. There are always some who like to ride on others' backs and don't want the resources and technology they hold in their hands to become available to everyone..."

As they were talking, another jolt occurred, and George immediately shut up, quickly switching between nearby sea charts to find a suitable location for battle.

"I'll watch over things. You turn on the driver assistance function and then go prepare that [Water to Mud] divine spell!" Jack suddenly pushed George out of the driver's seat, his tone leaving no room for argument.

George paused for a moment, then understood what he meant, and shook his head, saying:
"I'm not skilled enough yet; I can only produce two cubic meters at most..."

"That's enough, make it as thin as possible!"
