Chapter 12 Mag's Worry

Moon had thought that Dumbledore's speech would be the last part of the dinner, but he didn't expect that they would have to sing the school song.

When Dumbledore announced that the school song would be sung, Moon noticed that the expressions of the professors on the stage became unnatural, especially the Potions Professor that Harry was asking about.

Moon was originally worried that he didn't know the lyrics, but then he realized that this was completely unnecessary, because golden ribbons were already floating out of Dumbledore's wand.

These ribbons danced gracefully in the air, and finally slowly turned into lines of lyrics.

“Everyone chooses their favorite tune.”

This is too casual, Moon thought.

The next thing he heard was what was probably the most disorganized rendition of the school song ever.

Studying magic at Hogwarts will definitely not be boring. This was Moon's first thought after singing the school song.

Because of a very short school song, teachers and students throughout the school sang hundreds of different tunes.

Moon also joined the chorus, using the tune of a children's song from Xilin.

Although the school song was very confusing, Moon really liked the first two lines.

Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hogwarts

Please teach us knowledge

No matter we are bald old people
Or a child who broke his knee

The magical dinner finally ended.

After Dumbledore announced that they could return to their dormitories, the prefects stood up first to maintain order and led the freshmen out of the hall.

It was at this time that Moon learned that the head of Gryffindor was Percy Weasley, Ron's brother.

However, this class monitor seemed to be particularly concerned about his identity, and he would reveal his identity as a class monitor once every five sentences.

Moon didn't know if the other party did it on purpose, but Ron, who was following behind, showed an expression of disgust.

Moon didn't care about these little things. He just wanted to get back to the dormitory as soon as possible and have a good sleep.

He read until very late last night, and his lunch break was also interrupted, causing his eyelids to droop constantly.

On the way, they met a ghost named Peeves, and Percy scared the ghost away by mentioning the name of the Bloody Baron.

Neville was hit by the crutch dropped by Peeves again. Moon was now more and more certain that this little wizard with a toad might really be the focus of the god of bad luck.

After entering the common room using the "Dragon Slag" password, they were led to their respective dormitories before they had time to observe.

This is a room for five people, with a four-poster bed draped with crimson curtains.

Moon was assigned a seat against the wall, next to Harry's bed.

Moon opened the suitcase and took out the tree house first. Bengbeng had now become accustomed to the hollow carved bed in the house, and it was difficult for him to fall asleep once he left.

"What is this?" Ron was still talking to everyone about the sumptuous dinner tonight, but when he saw the wooden house, he walked over curiously.

"Bouncing house." Moon held it up and showed it to the others who gathered around.

There were only five people in the room now: Harry, Ron, Neville, Seamus and Moon. Each of them lowered their heads and looked hard at the scene in the cabin.

Beds, cabinets, blankets, pillows, and even a painting of gold galleons hanging on the wall.

"This is really exquisite. Was it bought in London?" Seamus said enviously as he moved the small window on the wooden house.

"It must be worth a lot of money!" Ron nodded in agreement.

"I carved this myself." After everyone had seen it, Moon placed the wooden house at the head of his bed.

"You carved it yourself! How is that possible? It's even more exquisite than the toy models I've seen." Simo looked at Moon suspiciously.

"Moon's craftsmanship is very good. I saw him at the entrance of the zoo. He even gave me a wooden sword."

Harry said as he pulled out a knight's wooden sword from the suitcase, and several little boys gathered around him again.

The small wooden sword was only the size of a palm. It was carved by Moon based on the stone statue in the park. The most complex pattern on it was a few roses carved on the hilt.

He carved this because he heard that the national flower of the United Kingdom is the rose.

The few wooden flowers didn't attract much attention, but Ron looked at the tree house with envy several times.

He had just seen that Neville's toad had a metal box, and his Scabbers, not bad either, could sleep in the big bed with him.

The young wizards introduced themselves to each other and then went to bed. Moon quietly climbed to the window of the tree house and said good night.

After getting the response, Moon was about to go to sleep when Ron suddenly called out.

"Go away, Scabbers! Stop chewing my sheets."

Moon turned over and continued sleeping facing the window.

After the dinner, McGonagall found Dumbledore again.

The two most mysterious children were sorted into Gryffindor tonight, and she was still a little worried.

"Dumbledore, is this really all right?"

"What?" Principal Whitebeard looked at his most capable assistant in confusion.

"These two children, Harry and Mr. Scarlett, especially Mr. Scarlett, he has been wearing the Sorting Hat longer than Harry."

Mag's expression was extremely serious, as if the child she was talking about brought her a lot of pressure.

"But he didn't break your record, did he?" Dumbledore spoke in a very steady pace, and the words that came out of his mouth were very soothing.

"But."

"Well, Minerva, since the Sorting Hat has put him in Gryffindor, I guess Hogwarts has to accept him."

Seeing that McGonagall's expression did not relax, Dumbledore brought up another interesting story.

"The little wizard mentioned in the Daily Prophet should be Mr. Scarlett."

"Yes, Tom from the Leaky Cauldron sent me a letter yesterday. I just realized that I had completely forgotten about Mr. Scarlett. I don't even know where he made so much money, and he even got Gringotts to change the rules for exchanging gold Galleons."

"I don't think this is that simple." Dumbledore nodded after listening to McGonagall's description.

"That's right, that kid's hands are all covered in wounds. I don't know how he managed to survive this past month."

When Mag mentioned this incident, he felt guilty towards Moon.

"This is my fault, Headmaster."

"No, Minerva, it was because I was so focused on that matter that Mr. Scarlett's journey to Hogwarts was full of challenges. But this also proves to us that this child is very brave and smart, doesn't it?"

An eleven-year-old wizard could earn 100 gold Galleons in three months, and even dared to go to Diagon Alley alone, and even inexplicably asked Gringotts to change the exchange rules.

In the past, Mag would never have dared to think about this.

Is he really suitable for Gryffindor, McGonagall pondered.

"Well, Minerva, you are tired enough. Get some rest tonight. You still have to teach the young wizards tomorrow."

Seeing that McGonagall had figured it out, Dumbledore smiled and watched her leave.

When the entire headmaster's office fell silent, Dumbledore suddenly walked to the window, looked in the direction of the Gryffindor dormitory, and spoke.

"Welcome to Hogwarts."

This was the best night's sleep Moon had ever had. The soft mattress, comfortable blanket, and fluffy pillows made his body feel soft.

You can no longer hear the roar of four-wheeled vehicles when you sleep, and only the faint sound of birds can be heard in the morning.

Maybe it was because it was the first day of school, even though Moon was very sleepy last night, he woke up very early in the morning.

Listening to the sound of even breathing coming from the tree house, Moon quickly put on his clothes and walked out of the dormitory with everyone else.

Percy was already waiting for them in the common room. After giving each of them a class schedule for this school year, they went to the hall together.

The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and Moon felt that Hogwarts must have many talented chefs.

"When are you going to find Professor McGonagall? If other people find out about Bong-Bong, they'll probably lose points from Gryffindor."

Hermione, who was sitting opposite, was eating a piece of pumpkin pie and looking at Moon very seriously.

"Thank you for the reminder. I see there's only one History of Magic class in the morning, so I plan to go see Professor McGonagall after class."

Seeing that Moon had not forgotten to issue a certificate for Bongbong, Hermione was obviously relieved.

Moon ate a few bites in a hurry and walked back with a small portion of bread. He had to prepare some breakfast for Bongbong as well.

But just as he left, a flock of owls appeared in the Great Hall, bringing packages, letters, and copies of the Daily Prophet that the students needed.
