Chapter 254 Wand Inspection

When Professor McGonagall saw Moon appear in the cabin, a frost appeared on her face.

"Mr. Scarlett, it's already 11 o'clock at night. You should stay in the dormitory!"

Hearing Professor McGonagall's harsh words, Moon showed a trace of guilt on his face.

In fact, compared to Snape and Headmaster Dumbledore, Moon is more afraid of facing Professor McGonagall.

The head of Gryffindor not only led Moon into the magical world, but also cared about him very much in daily life.

"You are quite right, Professor. I know I was wrong."

Moon was also very sincere in the face of Mag's accusations.

"Okay, explain why you're here."

While Professor McGonagall was asking questions, Dumbledore and Snape had already walked into the cabin.

Snape kept looking around, hoping to find the evidence that Malfoy was talking about.

As for Dumbledore, he just glanced at the table after entering the room, then stood there looking at Hagrid.

"I'm learning magic."

Moon explained nervously that observing and feeding fire dragons was also a way to increase his magical knowledge.

"Learning magic, why did I hear Mr. Malfoy say there is a dragon here?"

Mag was well aware of the diligence of the little lion in front of him, and was not surprised to hear Moon say he wanted to learn magic.

But she still had some doubts about coming to the Forbidden Forest Lodge to study.

"I'm practicing Transfiguration, Professor. If you don't believe me, just look."

Moon said as he took out his wand and pointed it at a small chair in front of the fireplace, casting a Transfiguration spell.

"Oh! Is this true?"

Mag was very surprised to see the chair turned into a little fire dragon in an instant.

She was quite sure that she had not taught this high-level transfiguration to first-year students.

"It's not real, it's just a wooden sculpture!"

Snape had also been observing Moon. He had long witnessed that Moon's spell skills were far superior to those of his peers.

When he saw the chair turn into a fire dragon, he was also surprised, and then immediately walked over to observe it carefully.

"Oh, it's just a wood carving! That's quite impressive, but I have to deduct points for leaving the castle at night."

Mag was very pleased that Moon could master this level of Transfiguration.

She glanced at the two professors beside her and put away her stern gaze.

"In addition to being put in solitary confinement, you will be deducted twenty points."

Moon couldn't object to such punishment.

Fortunately, Moon was rewarded with fifty points by Professor Sprout for helping Senior Bernard repair the snail grass on Monday, so he could accept a deduction of twenty points.

Snape, on the other hand, has been staring at the little fire dragon that the chair has transformed into.
This wood carving is so realistic, it looks like a real Norwegian Ridgeback has just been born.

"No wonder Malfoy was wrong~"

Snape muttered something under his breath and checked the room again.

Messy furniture, worn decor, and countertops that hadn't been scrubbed in ages.

Such an environment made it difficult for the usually strict Snape to adapt.

After finding no other suspicious items, Snape turned around and walked out of the house with a hint of disgust.

Although he failed to find the real Charmander, he was still somewhat relieved to hear that Gryffindor was punished with point deduction.

Even though the relationship between Snape and Moon has improved, when it comes to the College Cup, the Potions Master certainly hopes that Slytherin College can retain its title.

I don’t know if Dumbledore saw through the invisibility cloak at a glance, but after he entered the room, he stood in front of the table without moving an inch.

"You shouldn't have kept it, Hagrid."

"me."

Hearing Dumbledore's words, Hagrid was obviously a little panicked, and rubbed his two big hands together helplessly, like a child who had made a mistake.

"Take in? Oh, yes, Hagrid you shouldn't take in students who come to visit late at night."

Professor McGonagall was puzzled for a moment, then looked at Moon before reacting.

"Okay, Professor, I won't do that again."

Seeing Moon nod for him, Hagrid also nodded in agreement.

"Hehe~" Dumbledore looked at Moon and Hagrid shaking their heads and smiled helplessly.

"Well, it seems you already have a solution. I hope you won't let me down."

Seeing that Dumbledore had finally stopped looking at him, Hagrid wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"It's you, Mr. Scarlett." Dumbledore knocked on the table and looked at Moon.

"You didn't buy this wand from Ollivanders, did you?"

Dumbledore was also surprised when Moon performed Transfiguration to turn the chair into a wooden sculpture of a Charmander.

Having been engaged in Transfiguration education for many years, he knew very well that it was difficult for a first-year wizard to have such magical attainments.

At least among all the students he has taught, only Tom has this ability.

Thinking of this, Dumbledore couldn't help but observe Moon carefully again, and then he discovered the special wand in the little wizard's hand.

"Yes, Professor, you should know that I have mastered wandmaking."

Moon did not feel guilty. The old willow wand in his hand was indeed made by him, but the material did not belong to this world.

"Can you show it to me?"

Dumbledore smiled and walked towards Moon.

"Of course, I hope you can give me some advice."

Moon hesitated for a moment, then immediately handed over the wand.

He knew that Dumbledore's attainments in alchemy were extraordinary, and there was no need for him to hide it.

"Well, it's been made for less than a year. Hiss~, the willow wood body feels very good, and the core is made of unicorn wood, huh?"

Dumbledore's vision definitely surpassed all other wizards of the time. He saw through the material of Moon's wand with just a glance.

"Oh, it's not just the core. This combination of materials is really rare. It should be a perfect match for you."

Dumbledore said, handing the wand back to Moon.

"Yes, Professor, it works better than the old one."

Moon didn't know what Dumbledore had discovered, so he could only answer truthfully.

"I see. I hope you can make good use of it. Also, remember to properly handle tonight's affairs, and then let Hagrid take you back to the castle."

"Good professor."

Just as Moon agreed, Mag next to him immediately stopped him.

"Don't bother Hagrid, Mr. Scarlett. Just come back to the castle with us now."

McGonagall was already used to Dumbledore saying things that were incomprehensible.

When Dumbledore observed Moon's wand, she also looked at it curiously.

After finding that there was nothing strange, he wanted to lead Moon directly back to the castle.

"Okay, Professor~"

Moon answered helplessly, then winked at Hagrid and followed Mag out of the cabin.

"I never thought I'd find four students wandering around in one night. I've never encountered anything like this before."

Professor McGonagall kept blaming Moon all the way.

Snape led the way, waving Lumos, but the corners of his mouth remained upturned.

Dumbledore walked with Moon, and he had long been accustomed to McGonagall's speaking style.

Noticing Moon asking for his help, Dumbledore smiled and shook his head.

Returning to the common room, Moon saw the dejected Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Neville.

"I wanted to go look for you guys, but I didn't expect to be discovered by Professor McGonagall."

Neville didn't sleep either. He was explaining to the three little wizards why McGonagall appeared on the way to the Forbidden Forest Lodge.

"Okay, this isn't your fault, Neville."

As soon as Hermione said this, she saw Moon's figure. She quickly got up from the sofa and ran over.

"How is it? Did the professors find out?"

Hermione breathed a sigh of relief when Moon shook his head.

"That's good, otherwise our punishment would be much more severe."

"Not good at all. Everyone has had twenty points deducted from their scores. Now Gryffindor is at the bottom of the table."
