Chapter 52: Do you want to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts?
"Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, Dylan, what are your plans?"
"Yes, I think we need to further study how to use the spirit servants more flexibly."
When the entire auditorium was almost decorated, Professor McGonagall lowered her head and talked to Dylan.
Hagrid walked in from the door of the hall holding a Christmas tree.
Professor Flitwick looked over. "Just put it over there."
He pointed to a corner of the auditorium.
Dylan cast a spell, summoning many red and gold Christmas balls that fell on the Christmas tree.
"Hey, Dylan, aren't you coming home for Christmas?"
Harry, Ron and the others followed Hagrid in. When they saw Dylan, they came up to him in surprise.
"No." Dylan shook his head and waved his hand. Under the special effects of pink starlight particles, a piece of chocolate candy appeared in the palms of Harry and the others.
"Avocado chocolate? Hey, I like this taste!" Ron opened the package, put the chocolate into his mouth, and his eyes lit up immediately.
Seeing this, Dylan produced a few more chocolates and asked him to put them in his cloth pocket.
"This is probably the first time you've been away from home for so long. Don't you want to go back and see your parents?" Hermione asked.
"Uh……"
Speaking of this, Dylan couldn't help but take a deep breath.
When he first came to school, he and his parents kept in touch through letters.
But it seemed that because he was missing from the family, and with his financial support and various ideas, his parents were making more and more money.
The two of them just started living their own life together.
There were two times when he asked Luna to deliver letters, but he waited for several days but still received no reply from them.
It seems that without him, the couple's life is getting better and better.
He hadn't even told them his decision on whether to go back for Christmas some time ago.
The young couple had already sent him a letter.
There are many words of longing at the beginning, which made Dylan decide to put his research on spells on hold during Christmas and go home to spend time with his parents.
But at the end, the young couple changed the subject and told him that he didn't need to go home for Christmas. They wanted to take advantage of the holiday to go on a trip...
"Wow, that's cool. Then we can spend Christmas together in the dormitory!" Harry's glasses lit up.
He didn't want to go back and face his aunt's face.
"My parents are going on a trip too, so I'll be staying in the dormitory too." Ron stuffed another piece of chocolate into his mouth and said.
Harry was even happier.
As long as he doesn't have to spend Christmas at his aunt's house, he'll be happy!
Dylan blinked. "When I get back from the library, we can spend Christmas together in the evening."
At this time, Ron swallowed the chocolate and suddenly said, "Dylan, are you ready to continue going to the library?"
Dylan nodded slightly.
Ron continued, "Then let's go together later."
"Oh?" Dylan raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to the library too?"
What the hell is possessing Ron?
Not only is it an unprecedented thing for me to go to the library, but it’s right when the holidays are about to begin?
Ron waited for Professor McGonagall and the others to leave with the Weasley brothers before he whispered, "You remember Nico that Hagrid mentioned, right? We need to go to the library together and find out who this is."
Dylan was stunned.
Hagrid happened to be about to leave and passed by them when he heard Ron's words and his eyes suddenly widened.
"Are you still trying to figure that out? Oh! Stop it. You don't need to know what Lu Wei is guarding."
Hermione raised her head. "There's nothing we can do. You clearly know, but you won't tell us. We can only find the answer ourselves."
Hagrid's face was tense: "You know, I can't tell you this." "Or you tell us, who is this Nico?" Harry asked.
Hagrid remained silent.
"It doesn't matter. Hogwarts' library is huge. We can just find it ourselves!" Hermione turned and walked out.
Harry and Ron hurried to follow.
Hagrid looked at their backs and felt a headache.
These little Gryffindor lions are always so stubborn!
Glancing at Dylan, who hadn't left yet, Hagrid looked around nervously, then said, "Tell me, you've been keeping that thing in your heart, haven't you?"
Dylan smiled and said, "Of course."
Hagrid breathed a sigh of relief.
Dylan comforted him: "Don't worry, their curiosity will soon pass."
"Oh, I hope so."
Dylan followed Harry and the others to the library, but he just read his own book silently.
Harry, Hermione and the other two got together, brought a large pile of books, and began to search for information about Nicolas Flamel bit by bit.
The result was naturally nothing.
Until it was time for dinner.
After dinner.
Hermione is going home for Christmas.
Harry, Ron and the other little wizards had a lot of fun playing together, and completely forgot Hermione's instructions before she left.
No one was trying to find out who Nick Flamel was.
Dylan did not participate in the games of the little wizards in the lounge.
After returning to the dormitory, putting his things away and feeding Coal Ball some food, he took his notebook and went to Professor Flitwick's office.
Although the young wizards had a holiday at Christmas, most of the professors still stayed in Hogwarts.
This actually made it more convenient for Dylan to seek private tutoring from these professors.
"It's Dylan, come in and warm yourself by the fire."
The fireplace in the office was burning brightly, with orange-red flames jumping and releasing hot air continuously.
Dylan walked in and felt the temperature rise a lot.
"Is there a problem?"
Professor Flitwick was reading a book. When he saw Dylan coming over, he looked up and asked.
"Well, Professor, do you remember what I mentioned to you during the tutorial today?"
Dylan walked up to the professor.
Flitwick thought for a moment. "You mean... about the counter-curse?"
"That's right." Dylan nodded slightly. "I want you to teach me Defense Against the Dark Arts. We can start by learning the counter-spell to the Fiery Blaze."
"Defense Against the Dark Arts..." Professor Flitwick was stunned.
Immediately, his brow furrowed, and he looked at Dylan: "If I remember correctly, Professor Quirrell didn't teach about the Fiery Curse in class, did he?"
Dylan smiled. "Yes, you know how terrible Professor Quirrell's teaching is. I had to try to teach myself Defense Against the Dark Arts, but it wasn't mentioned much in the textbook at all."
"So I can only come to you to ask."
