Durin's Diary

Chapter 474 The Taste on the Tip of the Tongue

Chapter 474 The Taste on the Tip of the Tongue
The next day, the large group of Pekra (sheep) called Hulk came. They were holding axes and had just cut down a dozen trees when the druids came.

At this time, Du Lin was sitting on the rocking chair transformed by the tree demon and waved at him.

"Get out of here, kid!" The druid yelled at him without even seeing clearly.

Then the rock mountain next to it stood up, pulled out a tree from the side, and knocked the druid to the ground with a stick.

"Keep chopping! What are you looking at!" Du Lin roared.

More than a dozen trees were cut down, and this time a druid came riding a dragon.

Before he even got off the ground, he was thrown to the ground by the white dragon mount under him. The white dragon ran to Durin and licked his feet like a dog.

The big forest is in the south. Du Lin was wearing slippers and laughed when he was licked by this big and boundless dog.

Seeing his mount in this state, and looking at another seriously injured colleague lying on the bed, barely breathing, the druid finally figured out how to speak humanly: "Is that Lord Durin?"

"Yes, it's me. Finally, someone like you who can speak human language has arrived." Du Lin pointed to the old patriarch beside him and said, "Why is this large group of Pekra called Hulk still wandering around? I asked him, and he said that you druids said that the amount of land you have opened up has reached the limit. How come your Great Forest is so large, but there is no land to support them?"

"Uh, I'm just a patrol messenger..." The druid hesitated to speak.

"Well, go and call the person in charge of your sect, or you can find someone else to help you get your dignity back, but let me be frank first. Look at these kids." Du Lin pointed at the lambs around him. They were all pale and skinny. Du Lin took out his own snacks. The kids hadn't finished eating yet. When asked, they said they wanted to leave some for their younger brothers and sisters.

These children, so hungry that their ribs could be seen, took a piece of bread, took two bites, and said they were full and wanted to leave the rest for their younger brothers and sisters.

You could see the desire for the food in their eyes, but none of them took another bite. Even though their saliva was watering, they turned their heads away.

This way, the defense of AIs like Daju and Shiyi were broken.

I heard that their family members were working desperately for other large groups, barely keeping the whole family alive.

Just for these children, Du Lin asked Lina to find Long to go to the farm to get food.

After receiving Durin's order, the druid mounted the white dragon mount and went back.

Du Lin gestured to continue.

In the afternoon, a few more druids finally came in.

Du Lin had just finished distributing the food that had been delivered by Anta. When the children heard that there would be more in the future, they ate the bread they were holding in their hands.

"Come down." Du Lin called.

Three old druids came down, but one was still unwilling to leave: "The Hulk Herd is a newly separated herd! They just don't want to go far, and there's not much open space in the Great Woods! You're meddling too much, Mr. Durin!"

"If you don't agree, let's have a fight," Du Lin said as he walked towards the open field. "Don't try to defeat me with your opinions like a woman. All I see are tens of thousands of hungry mouths. Go to hell."

"Then you deserve to die!" The druid transformed into a giant dragon and pounced on Durin: "All creatures in the frost sky compete for freedom! If they can't raise children, then don't have them!"

But it stopped about two claws away from Dulin.

Du Lin shook his head, turned and took a step back, his sheathed sword already in his left hand. "What a twist of fate! Just for that, I will kill you today." With that, Du Lin drew his sword from thin air. Everyone saw a flash of sword energy, and then saw the dragon evenly split in two.

The sword energy flew past, lifting up a large number of tree branches in the forest.

He sheathed the sword and threw it to Lina along with the sheath. Lina shook her head and said, "I don't know when the Black Dragon dared to be so tough with you. You really deserve to be killed."

Du Lin looked at the remaining three and smiled. He stretched out his hand and the tree root turned into a chair and stood up. Du Lin sat down and said, "The guy who refused to drink is dead. Now let's talk openly."

After saying that, Du Lin turned his head and looked at the sheep standing there stupidly: "Drag this dragon away! Cut off the meat and share it!"

"Sir..." A druid looked reluctant.

"He said it himself, 'All creatures in the frosty sky compete for freedom.' If you're prepared to kill, you should also be prepared to be killed! Why can't we eat dragon meat?" After saying that, Du Lin turned his head and looked at the people holding the lambs: "Remember to give me some ribs!"

"Uh, sir, you are also a dragon." A druid began to wipe his sweat.

"Back in the days before civilization, cats big and small would hunt the Muses. What's wrong with that? Are we the only ones allowed to wear the restraints of civilization, while you druids are left bare-bottomed and free in the frosty sky?" Then, Durin turned around and said, "I almost forgot! Gather all the dragon blood you can! I'll teach you how to make dragon blood soup!"

"My lord, it's not like that. It's the spirit that won't let us..." "Where is the spirit?"

Du Lin asked calmly.

If feeding the children meant getting rid of the spirit, then it would be doomed at that moment.

The three druids pointed at the stone giant: "This is the spirit."

Du Lin nodded, then felt something was wrong: "No, he is a stone. What does it have to do with you if I cut down the woods?"

The stone giant lowered his body, shook his little head, and pointed to the huge tree in the distance.

Du Lin turned his head to look at the giant tree, and then saw that it had grown legs and began to flee quickly.

After a moment of silence, Du Lin pointed with his little hand, and the tree could no longer run away.

After a while, a huge bolt of lightning fell from the sky and struck the top of the giant tree. The tree started to burn, and then everyone saw it running faster.

Durin looked at the three druids and said, "The spirit said he has no objection. So, is there anything else you want to say?"

The three druids looked at each other and finally nodded.

After seeing the druid off, Durin returned to his rocking chair.

The old sheep walked over and saluted Du Lin very solemnly.

"From now on, you will open up the land here. If the old tree or the druids come, let them come to me. If they don't come to me, you will run away. As long as one person survives and brings the news to me, I will destroy the druid sect and chop up the tree for you to use as firewood. Remember?" Du Lin said earnestly.

In this era, the goal is to survive. There are too many ruins and too many unknowns that need to be explored by people. Some druids don’t speak human language, right? It’s okay. Durin and the sword in his hand are always ready to welcome every arrogant spirit and druid who forgets his roots.
