Durin's Diary

Chapter 600 Dancing in the Gallop

Chapter 600 Dancing in the Gallop

After completing the secret yet well-known deal with the dwarf in front of him, Du Lin walked down the stage with the trophy and came to the front of Professor Czerny. He stopped with a smile.

Lao Lu laughed so hard that he couldn't see his eyes anymore. He hugged Du Lin and then took the trophy that Du Lin handed over to him.

"You won't keep it?"

"I am where I am today because of your advice and guidance. It's great that you can help me preserve these trophies." Du Lin said with a smile and hugged Czerny again.

Returning to his seat amidst the applause, Du Lin looked at Reed, who was very happy: "Although I cried my eyes out in the cinema, I didn't cry here."

Her pride made Du Lin smile.

Next up were Best Costume Design and Best Art Direction. As usual, because there was no physical imager, Du Lin was not nominated.

But the next award was for Best Original Song. He glanced at the small card he had pulled out of the envelope and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, let's put aside the formalities and welcome Duke Durin to the stage again... Damn it! I wish the old guys at Paris Night could put the music award and song award together, so that a genius can avoid a lot of detours."

The audience laughed and applauded loudly.

As Kumir waved to Dulin, the musical from Cinema Paradiso appeared on the big screen behind him.

To be honest, Du Lin really didn't want this song to be chosen, but this song touched everyone's heart.

The lines are good, the singer is good, and most importantly, this song seems to be dedicated to all filmmakers.

"I declare that the best song of the year is Mr. Doolin's Cinema Paradiso."

Du Lin stood up and walked towards the stage.

Countless hands reached out to shake hands with Du Lin.

Every filmmaker is cheering for Du Lin at this moment, no matter where he comes from or what identity he represents.

At this moment, they are all the simplest filmmakers.

Du Lin walked onto the stage and took the trophy from Kumiel.

"Say something, my highness." Kumir said seriously.

"When everyone at the Art Center invited me to produce music, I immediately agreed because I felt I had just the song. Although it has been a few years since I first stepped onto this stage, I am still a child in everyone's eyes, a grassland elf standing on the shoulders of giants. I still hope that film will become an artistic legend, and that every minute and every second of miracles will be remembered by us."

Amidst the applause, Du Lin once again handed the trophy to Professor Czerny.

Lao Lu took the trophies, one in each hand, stood up and bowed to everyone, and Du Lin followed suit.

Everyone stood up and applauded.

When Du Lin sat back in his seat, Reid was holding a camera in her hand. This kind of arcane camera was a Polaroid camera, and the picture was very clear. In the camera, Professor Czerny was so excited that he was crying, while Du Lin stood beside the old man with a smile.

"Mr. Czerny said that having you is the happiest thing in his life, and he is right." Reed was very emotional.

"That's a must. I respect teachers and education the most." Du Lin replied seriously.

After a few awards, Dulin noticed that the Best Picture award had been moved to the front. At the same time, he heard Kumire sigh. He did not open his new envelope, but looked at the audience with a sincere expression: "Do I really need to open this little envelope, everyone?"

"If you don't open it, how will we know which of Mr. Durin's films won the award?" an old elf roared from the audience. Kumire turned sideways to look at the big screen amid the laughter and applause of the audience.

On the screen, Du Lin's movies shot this year took turns appearing.

"Which one do you think it will be?" Reed was very nervous.

"Killer Leon." Du Lin told the truth.

Sure enough, as Du Lin said, a giant girl appeared on the screen. She was holding a pot of flowers and walking on the street as the sun set.

Kumir in front of the screen shook his head: "Mr. Dulin, please come on stage."

Du Lin walked onto the stage with a smile, shaking hands with everyone along the way.

"Your answer this year was so perfect, so perfect that I, the judges, didn't know how to choose. In the end, they drew lots and chose this film." Having said this, Kumiel handed the trophy with a horn on top to Du Lin. "You are going for a Grand Slam, my Lord Du Lin."

Du Lin took the cup but didn't put it down because the most important event was coming up - the Best Director award.

Kumiel looked at the screen.

Four identical faces appeared on the screen one after another, each with a different movie name.

Finally, an older prairie elf assassin walked down the street, leading the young giant cub.

The music is the popular Shape Of My Heart.

Du Lin smiled.

Kumiel sighed. "The last time the judges told me they were going to give both the Best Director and Best Director awards to the same kid was the last time. Now they're telling me they're going to do it again. My only thought is, Mr. Du Lin, you're truly terrifying. How can you possibly hold so many ideas in your head?"

Du Lin naturally picked up the arcane loudspeaker microphone.

"To be honest, I started because of some small things. Some people said that my time was over, and I was very angry, so I did some small things to prove that my time was not over yet. I, Doolin Elsh, am still quite young."

The audience burst into laughter.

"Of course, I figured it out later. They weren't wrong. I debuted so early, and in the eyes of those who came after me, I was just a wave on the beach. So I felt relieved. Life is only a few short autumns, so why should I prove so much? I am who I am. I made these movies, made this music, and wrote these books so that those who like my stories would be worth their wait."

At this point, Doolin took the trophy from Kumire and said, "I came here to prove that my fans' wait was not in vain. I came here to take what I deserve, and now I have to prove it to my fellow fans and readers. I hope I won't disappoint them, and I also hope that each of us will not disappoint those who like us. This is Doolin Lili Corleone, and this is Doolin Roy Elsh."

Kumir touched the tip of his nose and reached out to take the microphone that Dulin handed over. "Believe me, Your Excellency Dulin, your father, your mother, and the millions of people who love you are all happy for your performance this year."

"Thank you." Du Lin bowed to the audience. "May we filmmakers always walk on the right path, and may everyone be loved and welcomed."

When he bent down, the entire venue was once again filled with applause.

When Du Lin walked off the stage, the old men in the first row all stood up.

You see, this fancy sedan has to be carried by everyone.
