Chapter 10 [Liquidation]

Gunshots continued to roar inside and outside the house.

But in the corridors and joints outside the bathroom, time seems to be relatively still.

Ethan stood there alone with a gun, sealing everything.

There was only the sound of approaching footsteps.

Fred.

He slowly walked to the end of the bathroom corridor. Several of his men couldn't help but want to speak, but he stopped them.

He put the index finger of his left hand on his lips to silence them, but his ears were listening to the movements in the corridor across the wall.

Time stood still again.

The style of the painting even changed somewhat to resemble the southwestern part of the kingdom.

There, cowboys wearing wide-brimmed, high-topped felt hats would choose the main road of a southwestern town when a life-and-death conflict occurred, stand at either end, their hands on the butts of their rifles at their waists, look each other in the eyes and wait in the sunset.

While waiting for the wind to blow up, sweeping the yellow sand, he suddenly drew his gun.

Now the walkway outside the bathroom has become the main street of the dueling town, but the wind has not yet started to blow.

Everyone is waiting.

The heartbeat seemed to be suppressed to the lowest level.

one second.

Two seconds.

Three seconds.

There was a sound of "Boom--".

It seemed that Velen outside used a homemade bomb or something to blow up the door, and the whole house shook.

It was at that moment.

The wind has risen.

At the junction of the aisles, a figure suddenly flashed out.

What accompanied it was naturally the fastest gunshot.

Before the gunshot had even finished, another figure followed closely behind. This person was Fred.

Fred gritted his teeth, and his whole body was in the best condition. He moved at the fastest speed and with the best posture. After the man he pushed out to block the gun was shot, he stood at the end of the aisle and pointed his gun into the aisle.

But then he saw Ethan and his gun.

There was no smoke coming out of his gun, but the one that was rising smoke was Anya's gun.

Anya stood quietly by at some point, and she fired the first shot!
"Bye-Bye."

Fred saw Ethan's lip movements and the movement of him pulling the trigger. He knew that this was a close combat and there was no time to do anything else. He could only shoot.

The gunshots rang out almost simultaneously.

Looking at the whistling bullet, he subconsciously used the power of his true name in his body to avoid the shot.

He was very familiar with this action in his many years of blood-licking career, and it saved his life countless times.

So in the past he had almost no defeat against guns.

But in the next moment, he suddenly realized that the power of his true name, which had been flowing in his body like blood, had disappeared in an instant, leaving nothing behind.

At that moment, he finally knew what Joan had experienced before her death.

The fear that had frightened him so much after Joan's death that he had hidden under the table finally broke out again uncontrollably.

Even though he instinctively dodged an inch and the bullet just grazed the skin on his neck, he still screamed loudly. His hand was no longer able to hold the gun in his hand, so he turned around and started to run away.

Ethan dodged the shot easily. Under the influence of his authority, the bullet's trajectory seemed to slow down. He simply tilted his head without moving his body and dodged the shot. "Go."

Ethan stood up and called Anya to action.

He only had a small warning about this little plan against Fred, so he gave Anya a look.

Anya actually accepted his order without any question.

In hindsight, they really had a terrifying tacit understanding.

Even though they had known each other for less than a day in total.

Once Fred collapsed, his men became even less formidable. Some of them ran with him, while others rushed out to try to continue blocking the attack.

The man who continued to block the attack was naturally shot dead by Ethan without any surprise.

He quickly moved to the connection point, which was not far from the hall. However, Fred did not flee to the hall, but went upstairs.

After Ethan and Anya cooperated to kill two more gunmen who tried to stop them, they split into two groups.

Ethan went upstairs to continue chasing Fred, while Anya went to the hall to attack the enemy and help Velen and others outside the door to come in.

Still without speaking, the two of them passed each other and walked away.

Fred's screams continued, so even without using his authority to sense him, Ethan could easily tell where he was.

Fred's psychological defenses had completely collapsed. A large part of the reason he screamed was not because of the pain from the gunshot wound in the neck, but more because the superior mentality that he had built up over the years, which surpassed ordinary people, was completely shattered.

So he ran away in a very scattered manner, falling down and getting up again and again, like a real stray dog.

Ethan was not in a hurry. He just walked up the stairs slowly and deliberately.

He believed that with Fred's ability, he could hear the footsteps in this noisy environment.

Facts have proved this.

Fred's screams grew louder, and he kept shouting, "No! No! Don't come over here! Don't come over here!"

Slowly walking up to the second floor, Ethan saw Fred.

He was currently falling on the hollow corridor on the second floor. In the hall downstairs, his men had been defeated by Anya.

Anya is worthy of being the sharpest knife that Alberto left for Leonardo. Even if she does not have the power of her true name, her strength is still terrifyingly strong.

The gate has been breached, and Velen and his men have rushed in.

Of course, another reason why Fred's men were defeated so quickly was that they could see Fred's condition clearly from the hollow walkway on the second floor.

Fred no longer cared about anyone and just struggled to crawl forward.

At this time, he didn't even want to crawl because he heard the footsteps of death approaching.

He turned over and looked at Ethan, laughing miserably, "I never thought that I would die in your hands in the end."

He thought of a hundred ways of dying: it could be Leonardo, it could be Alberto, it could be another member of the Pauletta family, or it could be Joan.

I just didn't expect it to be Ethan, the youngest and most inconspicuous son of the Pauletta family who was studying art in the royal capital just a few days ago.

"I didn't expect it would be me." Ethan said, already walking in front of him and pressing the barrel of the gun against his forehead.

"It's a terrible time, isn't it..."

Fred didn't finish his words because the bullet had already passed through his head.

Ethan turned around, leaned against the railing, and looked at the people in the hall. He looked a little tired and lazy, revealing the emblem wrapped in black mud and thorns on the ring finger of his left hand.

"Fred is dead, the hatred is over. Those who are willing to serve me, please offer your loyalty to me."
