Chapter 176 The Secret of the Club!

Lin En's heart was shocked. He knew he was right! Jack was indeed connected to that mysterious organization! He quietly took out his phone and took a picture of the scene as evidence.

However, just as he was about to leave, he accidentally stepped on a loose floorboard, which made a creaking sound. The people in the conference room immediately became alert. Jack pushed open the door and saw Lin En standing outside.

"Lynn? What are you doing here?" Jack's face darkened, and there was a hint of displeasure in his tone.

Lin En's heart tightened, but he quickly calmed down and said with a casual smile: "Ah, it's nothing. I just happened to be passing by and heard some noise inside, so I came over to take a look out of curiosity."

Jack looked at Lin En suspiciously, seemingly not believing his words. But he didn't say much, just snorted coldly and turned back to the meeting room.

Lin En knew he had alerted the enemy. He needed to tell Hans the news as soon as possible and discuss the next steps. However, just as he was about to leave, he suddenly realized his phone was missing! He was startled, knowing something was wrong. The phone contained the evidence he had just taken!

Lin En stood at the end of the hallway, feeling a mixture of emotions. He'd thought he'd acted cautiously, but he'd still accidentally alerted Jack. Adding to his anxiety, his phone, which held crucial evidence, was missing. Just as he was about to return to the office, frustrated, he saw a familiar figure.

"Lynn, your cell phone." Jack came over and handed him the phone with a barely perceptible smile on his face.

Lin En was stunned. He took the phone, his mind filled with confusion. He quickly unlocked the phone and checked the contents. To his surprise, the photos, videos, and even the photo he had just secretly taken were all lying there intact.

"You...you didn't read the contents inside?" Lynn looked up at Jack and asked tentatively.

Jack shrugged, looking innocent. "Of course I didn't look at it. I'm not the kind of person who likes to pry into other people's privacy. I just saw your phone fell to the ground, so I picked it up and gave it back to you."

Lin En thought to himself that Jack's words seemed reasonable, but his intuition told him that things were far from simple. He decided to confront Jack and see how he would respond.

"Jack, I have a question for you." Lynn took a deep breath and stared into Jack's eyes. "What does that dinosaur tattoo on your shoulder mean?"

Jack's face flashed with a subtle surprise when he heard this, but he quickly regained his composure. He chuckled, seeming a little surprised by Lin En's question.

"Oh, that, it doesn't have any special meaning. It's just the logo of a football club I joined in college. The club is called Manhattan Dinosaurs." Jack said lightly, as if it was just an ordinary thing.

"Manhattan Dinosaur?" Lynn frowned. The name sounded unfamiliar, but he didn't show it. "Can you tell me more about this club?"

Jack shrugged, seemingly unwilling to discuss further. "There's not much to say, really. It's just a bunch of young football enthusiasts who got together and gave themselves a catchy name. We designed the dinosaur logo ourselves, too. We thought it was pretty cool."

Lin En nodded, pretending to understand, but his confusion only deepened. He knew things were often more complex than they seemed. Was the Manhattan Dinosaur Club truly just an ordinary football club? Or was it inextricably linked to that mysterious organization?
"Jack, how long have you been a member of that club?" Lynn continued to probe.

Jack thought for a moment and replied, "About four or five years ago, I can't remember exactly. Why are you interested in this?"

Lin En shook his head and smiled. "Nothing, just curious. You know, I'm also quite interested in football."

The two chatted for a few more minutes before returning to their respective offices. Lynn sat at his desk, his mind racing. He opened a search engine and tried to find information about the Manhattan Dinosaur Club, but was disappointed. There was very little information online about the club, not even a single decent photo.

"It seems that I have to go there in person." Lin En made up his mind secretly. He decided to investigate this mysterious football club in person to see if it was related to the mysterious organization.

"It seems that I have to go there in person." Lin En made up his mind secretly. He decided to investigate this mysterious football club in person to see if it was related to the mysterious organization.

After get off work, Lin En did not go home directly, but drove to the address of the football club mentioned by Jack. However, when he arrived there, he found that it was just a deserted vacant lot, overgrown with weeds, and not even a single person in sight.

"What's going on?" Lin En was full of doubts. He looked around, trying to find some clues, but it seemed that no one had been here for a long time.

Just as he was about to leave, a strange voice suddenly sounded behind him: "Are you looking for the Manhattan Dinosaur Club?"

Lin En turned around suddenly and saw a burly, weathered middle-aged man standing in front of him. On his shoulder was a tattoo of a dinosaur head!

"You... who are you?" Lin En looked at the man in front of him warily, his heart full of vigilance.

The man smiled slightly, seemingly not caring about Lin's vigilance: "Don't be nervous, I'm a member of the Manhattan Dinosaur Club and the person in charge here. You can just call me Old Dinosaur." "Old Dinosaur?" Lin frowned. The name sounded a bit strange. "Why are you here? Didn't the club already..."

The old dinosaur shook his head and interrupted Lin En: "The club is not disbanding, but we have encountered some troubles recently, so we have temporarily moved the venue of the activities."

"Trouble?" Lynn keenly caught the word, "What trouble?"

The old dinosaur sighed, his expression becoming serious. "Actually, our club has been under the watchful eye of a mysterious organization. They want to annex us and use our resources and influence to expand their sphere of influence."

Lin En's heart was shaken. He knew he had finally found a clue! He asked anxiously, "Do you know the origins of this mysterious organization?"

The old dinosaur shook his head. "I don't know much about their specific situation, but I do know that their influence is enormous and their methods are extremely ruthless. Several members of our club have already been targeted by them."

Lin En took a deep breath, his heart filled with shock. He hadn't expected to be unwittingly drawn into such a complex dispute. But he also understood that now that he had embarked on this path, there was no turning back.

"Old Dinosaur," Lin En looked firmly into his eyes. "I am willing to help you fight this mysterious organization. However, I need more information and clues."

Upon hearing this, the old dinosaur's eyes flashed with surprise. He shook Lin's hand tightly and said gratefully, "Thank you, Lin. With your help, we will definitely be able to defeat that mysterious organization!"

The night was as dark as ink, and the hustle and bustle of the city gradually died down, leaving only the dim streetlights swaying in the cold wind. Lynn and Hans drove through the narrow alleys, their destination being the Manhattan Dinosaurs Football Club, hidden deep within a dilapidated industrial area. Their hearts were filled with doubts and anticipation, their goal being to uncover the unknown secrets behind this football club.

"Are you sure this is where we are going?" Hans looked at Lin En suspiciously while steering the wheel.

Lin En nodded, his eyes firm. "This is the address Old Dinosaur gave me. He said this is their new training base. Also, I looked it up, and this club has been making rapid progress since ten years ago. It's like they were cast in a magic spell."

"Magic?" Hans sneered. "Do you believe in that kind of thing?"

"I don't believe it." Lin En shook his head. "But I believe there must be some unknown reason behind this. Perhaps it's related to that mysterious organization."

The car stopped in front of an abandoned warehouse. The two men got out and looked around. It looked extremely desolate, completely different from the image of a football club. However, when they pushed open the warehouse door, they were surprised to find a different world inside.

The spacious space has been transformed into a modern training ground, brightly lit and equipped with all necessary training facilities. On the field, several players are working hard, their movements swift and powerful, as if each movement contains infinite strength.

"Welcome to Manhattan Dinosaur." A familiar voice sounded in the ears of the two, and the old dinosaur had stood behind them without them knowing.

“Here…” Lin En looked around, surprise flashing in his eyes, “It’s really unbelievable.”

The old dinosaur gave a wry smile and said, "We had to choose this secluded place in order to avoid being tracked by that mysterious organization. But it's a good thing this way. At least we can concentrate on training."

Lin and Hans exchanged a glance, becoming even more certain of the connection between the club and the mysterious organization. They decided to investigate further to see if they could find more clues.

As night fell, the streets of Manhattan were ablaze with lights and bustling with activity. Inside a bar called "Dinosaur's Nest," Lynn and Hans, dressed in their fan-favorite attire, mingled with a crowd of fervent soccer fans. Their goal was to get close to Saka, the star striker for the Manhattan Dinos.

"I heard that Saka will come here tonight to celebrate the victory. We must seize the opportunity." Lynn said to Hans in a low voice, while looking around vigilantly.

Hans nodded, holding a glass of beer tightly in his hand but barely taking a sip. He was nervous and excited at the same time; they had been preparing for this moment for so long.

The atmosphere in the bar gradually heated up, and with waves of cheers, Saka finally appeared. He was wearing a cool jersey with the Manhattan Dinosaurs team logo printed on it, and the slightly bulging muscles on his shoulders were particularly eye-catching under the lights.

"Saka! Saka!" The fans cheered and surrounded him as he walked towards the bar.

Lynn and Hans exchanged a glance and followed him tacitly. They found an opportunity to squeeze in next to Saka and started chatting enthusiastically.

"Saka, you performed great today! That goal was a stroke of genius!" Lynn shouted excitedly.

Saka smiled, a hint of pride in his eyes: "Thanks for the compliment, brothers. I'm in good shape today and I'm lucky too."

Hans took the opportunity to interrupt, "Saka, we are your die-hard fans. Can you tell us how you developed such amazing speed and strength? We want to learn from you too."

Saka's smile faltered upon hearing this. He glanced at the two men, as if assessing their intentions. After a moment, he chuckled, "Brothers, this isn't something you can develop overnight. Besides, some things... are innate."

Lin and Hans were startled. They knew that Saka's words were full of hidden meanings. But in order not to alert the enemy, they continued to pretend to admire him.

"Saka, you are our idol! Can you give us a chance to train with you? Even for just one day!" Lin En pleaded.

Saka thought about it and finally nodded: "Okay, since you are so enthusiastic, I will make an exception. Come to the club to find me tomorrow afternoon."

Lynn and Hans smiled at each other, knowing that the first step of the plan had been successful.

The next afternoon, the two arrived at the Manhattan Dinos Football Club's training ground on time. Saka was already waiting there, accompanied by several teammates.

"Welcome to the Dinosaur House." Saka greeted with a smile, "Today, I will show you real training."

For the next few hours, Lynn and Hans followed Saka and his teammates through intense training. Though they were also skilled players, they paled in comparison to Saka. Saka's speed, strength, and reflexes were all beyond human, as if his body were enhanced by some mysterious force.

After training, Saka invited the two to his private lounge for a chat. Lynn and Hans knew this was the crucial moment for them to reveal the truth.

"Saka, we have a question for you." Lynn took a deep breath and decided to confront the issue directly. "Are you... a mutant?"

Saka's expression changed drastically when he heard this. He stared at Lin En and Hans with wide eyes, as if trying to see through their thoughts.

"Why do you think so?" Saka's voice was low and alert.

Hans added, "We've noticed your performance in competitions, as well as your speed and strength in training. These are not things that ordinary people can do. Also, we've heard that the Manhattan Dinosaur Club has some dark secrets."
