Chapter 19 Killing the Bishop

The people in front of the church separated to both sides, but their eyes were still unconsciously looking towards the two girls walking in the middle of the road.

Oh, to be exact... one of them.

That is, Lake without a hood on.

The other girl is a Poro who uses the power of fairy tales to transform.

"What an innocent and lovely child... She's like an angel!"

Passersby who saw Lake were amazed.

And Lake smiled and greeted them back.

In the church, a nun who looked old and ugly walked out, followed by several young nuns.

"Ladies, which one would like to join the order?"

"Oh, oh, sir, it's them both. They are both very good children, I guarantee it!"

The washerwoman who brought Lake and Poro into the church heard the old nun's question, smiled hurriedly, and pointed at Lake and Poro behind her.

"I know these two children. After listening to the bishop's sermon yesterday, they were both very interested and begged me to convert them to Christianity!"

The washerwoman laughed with great delight.

Just like a mother sending her child to school.

"Oh, two very cute children. The light of the Lord will shine on every believer."

The old nun bowed reverently and said,

"Don't worry, I will lead them through baptism and spiritual practice... and together we will bathe in the glory of our Lord!"

After the washerwoman happily walked out of the church, the old nun turned around and began to look at Lake and Poro carefully.

The person that Poro disguised himself as was the nun who committed suicide with a silver dagger.

But because Poro had never actually seen the nun, and had only seen her portrait, her appearance was only somewhat similar to hers.

However, this time, Poro didn't intend to disguise himself as anyone.

Just a girl is enough.

Like all normal people, the old nun's eyes were quickly drawn to Lake's face - she had never seen such a pure, flawless, and beautiful girl!
But the admiration was different from that of other nuns.

A barely perceptible glint of jealousy flashed across the old nun's eyes, but was quickly hidden.

"The Bishop is the saint closest to the Lord in the church. He will baptize you."

The old nun gave a fake smile.

Unlike others who were deceived by the Bishop's spell, she was the only person in the church, besides the witch hunters, who knew the Bishop inside and out.

An ordinary person who colluded with the bishop, a sick accomplice, was equally evil.

She liked to rely on the bishop and watched one child after another, younger, prettier and kinder than herself, fall into the devil's den with joy.

Watching the flowers wither.

And I, a person full of sin, could become a nun admired by everyone.

"Okay, thank you sister."

Lake nodded obediently. Poro didn't say anything. He knew that no one would be suspicious as long as he was with Lake.

The old nun nodded and walked to the back of the church.

She couldn't wait to report the "baptized person" to the "Bishop".

It didn't take long before the bishop, the demon who was preaching that Poro and Lake had seen at the sermon meeting, slowly walked in.

He still had that compassionate and detached look on his face.

But even so, the moment he saw Lake's appearance, he almost couldn't control his expression.

It was a kind of... ecstasy filled with malice!
That is a kind of... yearning of the sinner to defile purity!

If an ordinary person were to be influenced by the spiritual magic mixed in the bishop's eyes and words, he would only feel that the bishop's demeanor was always like that of a kind saint.

But Lake, who was not affected, only felt a chill at this moment.

"I heard the Lord say that today is a holy day. Please dress the two children in their monastic robes, prepare them, and send them to me for baptism!"

The bishop nodded. Poro and Lake, who were not affected by mental magic, saw the undisguised evil in his eyes.

"Okay, Your Excellency." The old nun nodded, a hint of pleasure in her eyes, and led Lake and Poro to the room behind the church.

After dozens of minutes, Poro and Lake had both changed into nun uniforms.

The two men smiled, their expressions normal, but when they looked at each other, they could see the murderous intent in each other's eyes.

I met the bishop again.

Deep within the church lies a room that only the bishop is allowed to enter.

"Bah—"

The heavy wooden door closed heavily and was locked, isolating the door from the outside world.

The bishop dropped all pretense, and when he turned around, the detachment on his face disappeared in an instant.

His face revealed undisguised lewdness and madness!
"Hey, cute little lamb, now the baptism is about to begin."

He rolled up the sleeves of his priest robe and walked towards Lake and Poro in the room with a sinister smile.

"Your Excellency, what's wrong with you... You look... weird!"

Lake and Poro pretended to be frightened and backed away.

The bishop did not suspect anything. In fact, Lake's appearance and power made the bishop not have the slightest suspicion towards such an extraordinary-looking girl.

"As the main course, please wait a moment."

The bishop looked at Lake, swallowed, and pointed. "Stand still. Let me whet your appetite with another one."

"I...I can't move!"

Lake stood there and screamed in horror.

The bishop nodded in satisfaction and turned his gaze to the brown-haired girl in Poro disguise. The wrinkles on his face twisted into a deformed smile that he could no longer restrain!

"You, go over there and lie down obediently. This is the baptism you volunteered for, okay?"

The Poro sensed the mental influence exerted by the Bishop.

But he did not use his soul to resist. Instead, he let his body go. Under the control of the bishop, he walked to a bed in the room and lay down on it consciously.

Sure enough, it was just as the monk lady who committed suicide said.

The bishop chooses two children for each "baptism".

This sick demon always likes to serve the uglier ones as "appetizers" and the more "high-quality" ones as "main courses" to be savored carefully.

On the other side, the bishop slowly took off his clerical robes and walked to the bed.

Looking at Poro's horrified expression, he said happily:
"You're quite self-aware, little girl. You climbed up here by yourself."

As he spoke, he slowly moved his old face closer to the pretty face of the girl that Poro was disguising as...

Yes, you old man are quite self-conscious!
Although it was his first time killing someone, Poro did not hesitate at all. After all, as a wolf, doing such a thing did not require any mental preparation.

The next moment, the pretty face of the brown-haired girl instantly turned into a huge gray wolf head!

The mouth full of sharp white wolf fangs instantly pierced into the throat that was so close to him!
A large amount of blood instantly spurted out, filling the Poro's mouth—

Even the blood of such a wicked old man is still sweet and fishy to the wolf's appetite.

It was much easier than Poro had expected.

This spellcaster who deceived the whole town did not have an extraordinary body. Even his throat was not much harder than a goat's.

"Uh...uh..."

The bishop's face turned pale with shock in an instant.

He could never have imagined, even in his nightmares, that a wolf immune to mental magic would disguise itself as a girl and attack him in bed!

Having his throat bitten, the bishop's screams turned into silent wails!
He stretched out his hand and pushed the Poro weakly, but due to the blood loss, he was unable to cause any damage to the Poro Wolf's body!

But he is also a person who has mastered extraordinary powers to some extent.

The two hands under him trembled and formed a gesture, and the green meridians on them were shining with a layer of blood - he was going to use some magic at any cost!
But a bright knife flashed!
The two severed hands fell to the ground, and the immense pain caused the bishop to cough up blood foam again!
He looked at it in shock. The beautiful girl who was supposed to be trapped by him was now wearing a bright red cloak!

She waved a silver dagger and stabbed it hard!
The blade was cold, like a piece of piercing ice.

As he was dying, the last bit of thought in the bishop's mind faded away.

It turns out... there really are angels who come to judge demons like me!
