The Witcher: Make Witcher Great Again

Chapter 123: So You Are This Kind of Vesemir

Chapter 123: So You Are This Kind of Vesemir (Part )
"Hey, whoever you are, stop right now!"

"Are you lost? You are not welcome here. While your heads are still attached to your bodies, I urge you to turn around and leave immediately!"

"I won't say it a second time!"

The dwarves looked at each other.

Percival was about to respond, but was stopped by Zoltan.

Finally, the dwarves all turned their eyes to Lynn.

Lynn's expression remained unchanged.

He opened his arms, made a gesture of welcoming an old friend, and shouted to the city wall.

"Oh, my dear Lambert, it's so nice to hear you're so cheerful."

After a few seconds.

A head quickly popped out from the city wall, and when it saw Lin En clearly, its cat-like eyes suddenly widened.

"Lin En, is it really you? I wasn't sure at first. Just wait, I'll let you in."

The drawbridge is lowered.

The iron fence in front of the city gate was also slowly pulled up.

A few minutes later, Lambert walked out of the city gate and gave Lynn a tight hug.

It's always a pleasure to see someone you know.

Including Lambert.

In fact, Lambert is a man with a sharp tongue but a soft heart. He is just tough in words, but he actually cares about his family of the Wolf School in his heart.

"If it weren't for you, I would have thought Mahakam had sent an expeditionary force here to open a branch mine."

"But you have to explain to me what's going on with these dwarf friends of ours."

Although he didn't say it, Lambert was actually quite worried about Lynn.

The relationship between the two cannot be said to be very close, but after killing the old spearhead together, the relationship between Lambert and Lynn is not much worse.

There is still a bit of comradeship in it.

Later, Lambert met Geralt again in Redania.

When he found out that Geralt and Lynn had broken up, he almost annoyed Geralt to death.

Lambert was really afraid that Linn would be like the other witchers and not survive the first year after coming down the mountain.

Fortunately, his worries were unnecessary, Lynn came back.

"I'll talk to you in detail later. Come, let me introduce you to each other first."

Lynn motioned for all the dwarf friends he had invited to gather around.

"Lambert, this is Yarpen Zigrin, and those next to him are Lucas Couto, Yannick Bras, Xavier Moran, Paulie Dahlberg, and Reagan Dahlberg."

"These are Zoltan Ziva, Munro Bluey, Figgis Melujo, Asson Varda, Caleb Stratton, and Percival Schuttenbach."

"Everyone, this is Lambert."

Lynn was worried about Lambert's chatterbox and whether he would start by saying, "For God's sake, I'm so happy that there are so many more mouths to help us finish off our limited rations."

It’s not that Lynn thinks badly of others, but it’s really hard to hear good words from Lambert.

But fortunately, the thing that made Lin En nervous did not happen after all.

Lambert simply nodded to Yarpan and the others calmly and said, "Hey, hello."

Maybe to others, this might seem like Lambert being arrogant.

But Lynn knew that Lambert's performance was actually above average.

Misunderstanding resolved.

The group followed Lambert into Kaer Morhen.

The dwarves looked around curiously, talking and laughing. Even in its decline, Kaer Morhen was still magnificent.

Lynn asked Lambert.

"Is everyone back?"

Lambert said in his characteristic tone, "Except you and Geralt."

"Geralt hasn't come back yet?"

Lynn's heart skipped a beat at first, but then he relaxed.

Geralt didn't come back, most likely he was just delayed on the way.

He is Jie Ritian, how could something happen to him?
In fact, Lynn cares more about another witcher than Geralt.

"And Berengar? Hasn't he returned yet?"

"Maybe he came back, but got lost in the mountains. I don't know where he's hiding in a cave now, staring at the direwolves baring their fangs." Lambert said with a hint of sarcasm.

"Lambert..."

"Don't try to convince me, Lin En. At least on this point, I won't give in."

Lynn shook her head.

No longer trying to persuade Lambert, who had a strong opinion of Berengar.

As they entered the hall, Vesemir, having heard the noise, emerged from the kitchen.

But when he saw the dwarves following Lin En, he was stunned.

As far as he could remember, no dwarves had ever visited Kaer Morhen, even during its most glorious period.

However, seeing that Yarpan and the others came in with Lynn and Lambert, they didn't look like enemies.

Since he is not an enemy, he is a friend.

"Lin En, you're back just in time. Come and give me a hand, otherwise we might not be able to have dinner until midnight. As for your dwarf friends, let them sit wherever they want, as long as you don't tear down this hall."

Yarpen grinned and said, "Of course not, Master Witcher. We will be very careful."

Seeing that he was the only one left, Lambert couldn't help but ask.

"Father Vesemir, is there anything I can do for you?"

“You?” Vesemir looked at Lambert with suspicion. “You’d better stay away from my kitchen. It’s a mess already. I don’t need to add to it.”

Lambert was not happy.

"Hey, you talk like I could blow up the kitchen."

"That's not the case, but no one can eat what you make. However, I do have something else I need you to do. Eskar is fishing, go help him and bring back some more. Now that we have several more guests, we need food, and the more the better."

After giving Lambert instructions, Vesemir and Lynn went into the kitchen together.

After making sure that none of the dwarves outside were eavesdropping, Vesemir spoke.

"Well, my child, while your dwarf friends are warming themselves by the fire in the hall, you can tell me what's going on."

"I believe you're a good child, so those dwarves aren't here to collect debts, are they? If they are, there are still a few walls in Kaer Morhen they can tear down to pay off their debts."

"I watched those walls being built with my own eyes. They were built with top-quality stone, so they're worth a lot of money."

Vesemir made a rare joke.

Lynn didn't know that Vesemir had such a side to him.

But think about it.

Vesemir hadn't aged that much the day he became a witcher.

When the old man was young, he lived a more romantic life than Geralt.
