Chapter 43: Follow-up Interview

Chapter 43: Follow-up Interview (Part )

ten minutes later.

Gaskell changed rooms.

Three people are sitting in a room with the camera focused on them.

Ian held the microphone and said to the camera, "This is perhaps a very rare interview, as the host is a survivor, and the interviewee is a photographer. We all experienced this incident under unique circumstances, and as a result, we became unprofessional shooters and photographers. So now, let's interview Mr. Gaskel Bent, the victim and photographer of the Aurat Hotel shooting, and the chairman of the Los Angeles-based Lino Bank."

He pointed the microphone at Gaskell and said, "Mr. Bent, what are your thoughts on the gunfight that just took place?"

Gaskell smiled: "I was so scared that I pissed myself. You can feel that through the shaky camera."

Lena covered her cute little mouth and laughed.

When Ian initially shot and robbed the car, she thought he was a reckless young man.

The subsequent hotel shooting finally allowed her to see Ian's strength and courage.

He's just a smart and brave young man who likes to solve problems efficiently!

Lena thought.

Ian continued: "But you still bravely carried the camera. Was it to protect your wife?"

Leading things towards love, there are more elements.

Gaskell turned to look at Lena, smiled at the camera and said, "I love my wife, but honestly, I didn't think that much at the time. The reason I carried the camera to record all this was because the host who was interviewing me told me not to be afraid, he would handle everything. I chose to trust you... Of course, it wasn't because we were so familiar with each other, but it was like a drowning man's straw, I had no other choice. But now I know that the guy interviewing me is a trustworthy bastard, so if there is a next time, I will take the initiative to carry the camera."

He looked at Ian and said, "Why don't you let me interview you? As the person involved, you also need to be interviewed. Tell me, Ian, what made you able to carry the camera and face all this in that situation?"

Ian said to the camera, "A journalist's professionalism! Our duty is to bring the truth to the audience! Let the audience live in a world without deception, let them see everything that happens, to expose the darkness and bring light. To achieve this, we will sacrifice everything, including ourselves!"

Gaskell immediately asked, "Does that also include interviewing those who have been harmed?"

He was alluding to Ian's interview with "Burning Torch".

Ian smiled. "If one day, I fall from a great height, I hope there will be a microphone to interview me about my feelings when I land without a parachute. If one day, I fly in a fire, I hope to make a victory sign to the camera. If one day, I am shot through the chest, I will open my wound and let them see the last stubborn beat of my heart. If one day, I am caught in bed with someone..."

He paused.

Lian Na smiled and said, "Will you reveal everything about yourself?"

Ian shook his head slightly: "No, I would rush over and smash the camera immediately."

When doing an interview, you must be able to use jokes, twist the topic, and be funny.

In a nutshell: it is to mobilize the audience's emotions.

You can't let them guess what you're going to say next.

For this reason, everyone and everything can be put on the table, ridiculed, teased, and even abused.

A celebrity once said, "Half of the money you earn is from being scolded." This is true!
So if one day, Ian was really caught in bed by a paparazzi and was photographed crazily, he would most likely say, "Hey, watch your camera! Don't make my brother look too small!"

But this doesn't stop him from slapping himself in the face now.

People love a slap in the face.

You can hit others in the face, or even hit yourself in the face, but you cannot be hit in the face by others!
The interview went very smoothly. After interviewing the Gaskells, Ian went on to interview the guy at the front desk and the passengers in other rooms.

Although they didn't like being disturbed, the passengers were cooperative considering that this was the person who saved everyone.

A black man yelled at the camera: "I didn't know they were outside, otherwise I would have rushed out immediately and smashed their heads with my iron fist."

Ian said, "But dozens of shots were fired, didn't you know?"

The black guy roared, "Because I'm hard of hearing! I always can't hear what others say, otherwise how could my voice be so loud? Did you know that hard of hearing people always have loud voices?" Ian smiled and said, "I believe you."

The black guy grinned.

After interviewing other nearby residents along the way, Ian went back to write his article.

There's follow-up coverage of the shooting, along with photos not included in the video—all exclusive to tomorrow's Los Angeles Herald.

After sending it to Lloyd and asking him to arrange it immediately, Ian went to bed.

Because he stayed up late yesterday, Ian slept in.

The next day, Ian got up and went out to buy a Pioneer newspaper.

Last night's online news has started to ferment, so today's Los Angeles Herald has also seen a sharp increase in print volume and skyrocketing sales.

At this moment, looking at the content in the pioneer newspaper, Ian took a bite of the hot dog he just bought, a satisfied smile on his face.

When I opened the computer and looked at the website, I saw that it was indeed filled with a large number of comments.

"Fuck! This is the most exciting gunfight I've seen this year!"

"This camera is so shaky! So shaky!"

"You can't expect a bank president to shoot a high-quality video."

"How do you know it was the bank president who took the photo?"

"Idiot, look at the interview in the Pioneer Newspaper. The follow-up report has already come out."

“Damn it Ian Carr, why did he have to split up the coverage?”

"Because besides being a brilliant journalist, he's also a damn cunning businessman."

"Wow, this guy has good shooting skills."

"I don't think he's that good. The key is that he's very good at timing and always fires at the perfect moment... Standing in the hallway and firing at the door, even my 80-year-old grandmother could kill those guys!"

The person who said this was undoubtedly an old gun expert. He did not care about Ian's beginner-level shooting skills, but praised his grasp of timing.

Another person said:

"So, this is the reporter who interviewed the burning torch? And he's a handsome guy! I want to freeze this picture!"

"Ian Carr, you are so charming. I saw your big gun, but now I want to see your small gun, or maybe not so small! I can leave my address, I am beautiful, and I am not sick... at least not yet!"

Of course there are dissenting voices.

Some people are shouting "Ian Carr is just a grandstanding clown!"

This is definitely the jealousy of colleagues!
Ian also laughed at the comments.

He shook his head slightly. "At least you could post a photo and come to me first... The Los Angeles Herald isn't hard to find."

Butterfly, who originally planned to become famous, had not yet really become famous, but unexpectedly became popular again through the burning torch and shooting incidents. It can only be said that things are unpredictable.

Then he quickly wrote on it: "Go buy the Los Angeles Herald, which has more detailed information. The Los Angeles Herald focuses on real-time breaking news, delivering major news to you as soon as possible! We never accept outdated news!"

After leaving these words, Ian turned off the computer and looked at his eyes. Sure enough, the communication points had begun to increase.

The news has just begun to ferment, but it won’t be long before the right eye can be officially promoted to level two.
