Chapter 14 Lin Yu reveals Li Song's feelings

Chapter 14 Lin Yu reveals Li Song's feelings
The name made her hands tremble, and the needle tip pierced her fingertips, but she forced herself not to make a sound.

After a moment, she put down the work in her hands and turned to look in the direction of the sound.

A young man in a brocade robe was standing at the gate of the courtyard. He was about twenty years old, with picturesque features, and a certain nobility in his every move.

Seeing Yunshan bow, he nodded slightly: "No thanks."

"Master Li Song." Yunshan called out with her eyelids lowered.

Li Song walked over slowly and stopped beside her, his eyes falling on the window screen in her hand: "Nice embroidery."

Yunshan's fingers tightened unconsciously, the needle and thread turned at her fingertips, and she whispered a thank you.

"Was it the same when you were in the Shangshu Mansion?" Li Song said thoughtfully, with a hint of amusement in his tone.

Yunshan paused for a moment, but she quickly returned to normal: "In reply to your question, sir, I just learned some needlework from the nanny."

Her voice was calm, as if the name "Gan Tang" had nothing to do with her.

Li Song stared at her for a moment, then suddenly smiled and asked, "Are you changing your name to forget the past? Or are you hoping to be reborn?"

Yunshan's heart tightened, but she still maintained her polite posture: "I am just following your orders."

"Interesting. I'll come see you later, Yunshan." Li Song turned and left, his figure quickly disappearing in the corridor of the courtyard.

Yunshan looked at his back, without moving the needle and thread in her hand. She understood in her heart that it must be Master Li who helped her to be assigned to the Lin Mansion.

"Miss Yunshan." Li Song spoke, his voice gentle but majestic.

Yunshan bowed slightly: "Mr. Li."

"I just met my aunt." Li Song said calmly while sitting on a bamboo chair not far from Yunshan.
He paused, his eyes falling on Yunshan, "The Tang family's affairs have been investigated. Yan Yu is still alive."

Yunshan's grip tightened unconsciously. She lowered her head and said calmly, "Okay, okay, Miss Yu, may the Buddha bless you."

"Yes." Li Song chuckled, "But she was divorced by Tang Wenyao. Now she lives on the farm and claims to be the widow of a family guard."

Yunshan raised her head and pursed her lips. The good news made her relax her spirit which had been tense for half a month. Tears welled up in her eyes. Li Song saw it and raised his hand to wipe them away for her, but then put it down.

"What about Gansu and Qinghai?"

"He's there too." Li Song looked Yunshan in the eye, as if considering his words. "Yan Lie has been exiled to southern Xinjiang."

Yunshan was silent for a moment and lowered her head: "Thank you for telling me, sir."

"No need." Li Song stood up and slowly walked to Yunshan's side. "I just thought you might want to know the truth."

Yunshan turned her head and glanced at him with complicated eyes.

Li Song chuckled and said, "By the way, when I came back just now, I passed by my cousin's embroidery room and saw you helping embroider the yarn?"

"Ah?" Yun Shan was stunned. "Yes..."

Li Song nodded thoughtfully, "But I think your embroidery is very good. Can you make me a sachet someday?"

Yun Shan smiled slightly and lowered her head, "My lord, you are too kind. I would make a few more, but I'm afraid that none of them would be pleasing to your eyes."

"Miss Yun..." Li Song suddenly spoke, with a hint of teasing in his voice, and suddenly revealed a mischievous smile.

"If you really feel uncomfortable here, I can help you leave."

"Sir?" Yun Shan raised her head and looked at him with some surprise.
"I will never forget the help you gave me. The people in the Lin Mansion are very kind to me. I am lucky to have the kindness of the young lady."

A hint of doubt flashed across Yunshan's eyes, "Why would you help me, sir?"

Li Song looked straight into her eyes, his lips slightly raised, but he did not answer.

Yunshan stood there, looking at his back, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes.

The early morning sunlight streamed into the yard through the window lattice. Yunshan tidied the room carefully and took care of the potted flowers in the new courtyard.

Yunshan developed a pair of dexterous hands in the Yan Mansion, and was particularly good at needlework.

This time when she entered the Lin Mansion, her embroidery skills and meticulousness were quickly appreciated.

The eldest daughter asked her to help embroider the silk quilt and curtains. She kept the remaining scraps of fabric, making a mental note to make more sachets and give them to Li Song when the time came. The sunlight after lunch slanted in through the window lattice, and the eldest daughter fell asleep with her clothes on and leaning against the pillow.

Yunshan sat in front of a small table beside the bed, her fingers lightly moving between the needle and thread, embroidering a sachet for Li Song.

Soon, the young lady slowly woke up and yawned softly. Yunshan saw that the young lady had woken up and quickly got up to get a basin of water and returned to her room.

Back in the room, the eldest daughter was already sitting in front of the dressing table. Looking at Yunshan's figure in the bronze mirror, she smiled and said, "You embroidered it so exquisitely. Who are you planning to give it to? Could it be your beloved?"

Yunshan's cheeks flushed slightly, and she lowered her head and replied:

"It was prepared for Master Li Song. Thanks to his help that day, we were able to escape."

The young lady nodded, with a playful smile in her eyes:
"Li Song is one year older than you. His family isn't in a rush to arrange a marriage for him. They're just waiting for him to pass the imperial examination. But he still doesn't even have a concubine."

Yunshan lowered her head and twisted her fingers together unconsciously.

The eldest lady continued, "He also specifically asked me to treat you well. You are different from others."

Her voice was soft, but it made Yunshan's heart tremble.

One month later, in the early morning, as the sun began to rise, a carriage slowly drove into the gate of the Marquis' Mansion.

Li Song was wearing a dark green long gown with a dark blue fox fur coat on the outside, and a jade belt hanging around his waist, which made him look tall and straight and extraordinary.

His face was more handsome than the last time he came to the house, his eyebrows and features were picturesque, the corners of his lips were smiling, and his every move exuded a gentle and scholarly air.

Yunshan was standing in the corridor, and her heart skipped a beat when she saw Li Song from afar.

She lowered her head, quietly covered the smile on the corner of her mouth with her sleeve, ran back to the room quickly, and held the seven carefully prepared sachets in her arms.

"Master Li."

Yunshan called softly, her slender fingers trembling slightly, but she still handed over the seven sachets steadily.

Every stitch and thread of these sachets was filled with her gratitude to him.

Li Song took the sachet, which felt warm and soft, with a subtle fragrance.

He gently flipped through each sachet, some with elegant light blue, some with rich peony patterns, all with exquisite embroidery and delicate stitches.

He picked up a green sachet and examined it carefully. "This needlework is so exquisite. Was it all done by you?"

"Yes. I presumptuously guessed the style that the young master liked, and the incense inside is also what the young master often used when he was young."

Yunshan lowered her eyelids, and a blush appeared on the tips of her ears.

Li Song's heart trembled. For some reason, when these words came out of her mouth, his heart softened.

He gently stroked the embroidery on the sachet, his tone filled with reluctance: "Seven of them are so exquisite, how many should I accept?"

Li Song smiled and looked at Yunshan, "Is it okay if I accept them all?"

Yunshan looked up at one of the sachets, wanting to say something but stopping herself.

He followed Yunshan's gaze and picked up the sachet, unable to let it go. "This green sachet... has the words 'peace and joy' embroidered on it. I wonder what they mean?"

"This is... something I wanted to give to Miss Yu as a birthday gift..." Yunshan raised her head, a hint of anticipation flashing in her eyes, "Yunshan has a request."

Li Song put down the sachet and looked at her face: "You say."

"Young Master saved Yunshan that day, and Yunshan has no way to repay him. Yunshan is extremely lucky to be where she is today, but these past few days, I've been thinking about it over and over again." Her voice trembled slightly as she knelt and said, "Young Master, could you please take me to see someone?"

Li Song watched her curled up into a small ball, kneeling on the ground, and quickly reached out to help her up: "Who?"

"Yan Yu." Yun Shan whispered, her eyes avoiding.

He was silent for a moment: "Okay."

He whispered, "I'll take you there later."
