Chapter 21 Cold Face Licking Claws
Agricultural trade zone.

A three-dimensional market constructed from giant cargo holds stretches across the dock, with all kinds of crops displayed in layers on suspended stalls.

There was an endless stream of vendors and buyers. Jing Xiaoyu rode his small lightning scooter through the dense crowd, crossed the suspended bridge of the middle compartment, and finally arrived at the wholesale stall that collected and sold spiritual crops.

Jing Xiaoyu pushed the small scooter to the collection window.

Because he was too short and small, and the window was half the height of an adult, Jing Xiaoyu had to stand on his short legs on the scooter, tilt his head up and clearly state his needs to the agent at the window: "Hello, sister, I need to sell 37 fern seeds, thank you."

The specialist, who was originally slacking off with his chin in front of the invisible screen at his post, suddenly heard a soft and clear voice of a child and sat up straight with a start.

Looking up, he saw the little cub trying to poke half of its round head out of the high window. He quickly got up and lowered the window so that he could see the little cub clearly.

The little guy had a small straw hat on his head, and his clothes and pants looked very old, but his porcelain-white and round face was very eye-catching. He steadily took out handfuls of green crops from the sack with his little hands and put them on the window.

The commissioner's heart softened when he saw this, "Dear, are you here alone?"

Jing Xiaoyu paused, looked over with her big, dark eyes, and said calmly, "Yes." She then opened her small backpack and handed her the relevant ID card and documents with both hands. "Sister, I have a sales permit for the Agricultural Trade Zone."

The commissioner was almost lost in the little girl's sweet and tender voice, calling her "sister" repeatedly. Her eyes were almost curved into crescents with laughter. She took a look at the little girl's relevant documents and said, "So it's Xiaoyu, baby. What crops are you selling?"

Jing Xiaoyu patiently repeated and explained to her, "It's a fern seed. This fruit is full of special juice, very suitable for replenishing nutrients for spiritual bodies that need to absorb light."

"This one is really good. Let me scan it for purity first!"

The specialist casually picked up a handful of fern seeds and put them through the scanner. The next second, the instrument data, which had originally remained at 60-70, suddenly soared.

"Wow! The purity is as high as 99.8%?!"

The specialists were shocked and thought there was something wrong with the purity scanner, so they scanned the fern again, but the result was still at 99.8%.

"With energy pollution so severe these days, crops with a purity of over 70% are considered high quality, and those over 85% are exclusively supplied to the wealthy and powerful. But the fern seeds you're growing, Xiaoyu, are surprisingly 99.8% pure. How did you do it?"

Jing Xiaoyu scratched his head and said, "I just planted it normally according to the instructions in the planting encyclopedia."

"Xiao Yu, my dear, I've bought all of your fern seeds. I'll give you three times the original purchase price. If you have any more later, you can come and sell them to me. What do you think?"

Jing Xiaoyu thought for a moment and said, "Deal."

He dragged the sack in front of him and continued to take out the remaining fern seeds.

After successfully exchanging the star coins, he sorted them out and put them in his schoolbag, and took the initiative to say goodbye to the commissioner sister.

As a result, not long after leaving the agricultural and trade star area, I suddenly found the cricket pupae in the sack hidden next to the foot pad of the mobility scooter.

Jing Xiaoyu quickly stopped the lightning, thinking that he had missed one or two fern seeds. He opened the sack and while searching, he put his head in it.

Then at this moment, the little hand touched a soft and fluffy little thing.

It was pitch black in the sack and Jing Xiaoyu couldn't see anything, so he quickly stuck his head out.

After opening the bag and seeing clearly what the soft, milky white ball of fur buried at the bottom was, Jing Xiaoyu's eyes widened.

"Mimi?"

Into his sack, a young animal that looked like a kitten had crawled out at some point. It was tiny, soft and fluffy like a snowball.

Jing Xiaoyu held him in his arms, but he still didn't move at all.

It had even lost its aggressiveness and just lay weakly in his little palm, making a faint buzzing sound weakly.

"Mimi, are you hungry?"

Xiaomi didn't respond.

Jing Xiaoyu gently patted the dust off the kitten's head.

She turned his schoolbag over and put it in front of her, then gently put the kitten in. She only zipped it halfway, but still used one hand to hold up the schoolbag to prevent the kitten from getting dizzy.

"Don't be afraid, I'll take you home first."

Half an hour later, Jing Xiaoyu finally returned to the courtyard, carrying the weak kitten into the house. He placed it on his small stool, patted its head, and said, "Be good. I'll get you something to eat."

Jing Xiaoyu went into the kitchen and rummaged through the drawers and cabinets. Fortunately, he and his mother were mermaids, so they had plenty of seafood to bring ashore even though they had nothing else.

After preparing the cat food and water, he placed the small basin on the ground and picked up the kitten. "Xiao Mi, you eat."

The kitten seemed to be in a slightly better condition. It lay on the blanket on the ground, nudged its head forward into the small basin, licked a few sips of water, and then used its little paws to grab a few mouthfuls of cat food.

He never raised his head from beginning to end and concentrated on eating.

Seeing the kitten eating obediently, Jing Xiaoyu felt a little relieved and patted its head again, "Just keep eating. I'll go find some ingredients to make you a nest."

Jing Xiaoyu searched around the yard and finally found a small cardboard box. He secretly stretched out his little webbed hands and scratched out a small door on the side of the box so that the kitten could easily enter. After checking it once, he was very satisfied and carried it in to tell the kitten.

But when he entered, Jing Xiaoyu didn't have time to be shocked that the skinny-looking kitten had eaten up all the cat food in the bowl so quickly. Then he found that the kitten was gone.

"Where's Mimi..."

Jing Xiaoyu was stunned. He put down the box and quickly started looking for the cat.

He called "Xiao Mi" while searching, in the corners of the curtains, under the bed, inside the closet...he almost turned the whole house upside down.

Finally, a faint sound of licking fur was heard. Jing Xiaoyu hesitantly came to the side of the bookcase, raised his head, and saw this scene.

The kitten he had been looking for for a long time was standing on the bookcase, licking its paws with a sullen face.

Jing Xiaoyu didn't know if it was his illusion, but from this angle, Xiao Mi didn't seem like a cat anymore.

The slightly raised head shape looks like a miniature version of some giant beast.

After licking its paws, it raised its chin and tilted its head slightly to lick the thick fur on its back. Its big, fluffy, long tail hung on the edge of the bookcase, with the tip of the tail drooping lazily a little, and a small tuft of gradient milky gray fur spread out at the end.

Jing Xiaoyu stared at it blankly for a long while, and finally asked, "Mimi, how did you get up so high?"

As a human cub many times bigger than Xiao Mi, he couldn't climb up directly. How could such a small cat jump up?
