Chapter 23: Innocent and Unworldly

Chapter 23: Innocent and Unworldly

This punch finally woke Ryan up, and his eyes became clear.

"I……"

But Heather was completely disappointed with Ryan and began to wipe away her tears.

"I don't want to hear his apology, and I don't want to see him again!"

Roy looked at Ryan threateningly.

"Did you hear that? Get out of Heather's manor now!"

"Heather, you can't do this to me! We're good friends! I just cared about you so much!"

The penniless Ryan suddenly panicked at the thought of being kicked out of the manor.

Given that this guy is black and has no money, he would definitely have a hard time getting anywhere in Texas.

You might freeze to death in this cold winter!
But Heather turned her face away, not looking at Ryan, and not wanting to listen to him anymore.

"Kid, do you still want to eat my fist? How about I knock out your teeth on the other side too? Make your face more symmetrical!"

Roy raised his fist at Ryan, and Ryan suddenly didn't dare to say anything.

After being beaten three times by Roy, several of his teeth fell out. This guy looked at Roy with fear in his eyes.

This made Roy very happy. He didn't expect there would be an unexpected gain. This could even earn him fear.

So, Roy clenched his fists and walked towards Ryan.

"I'll count to three! One, two..."

"Can I take my luggage with me?"

Ryan wanted to make one last struggle, but Roy didn't want to give him a chance.

"I'm going to throw your luggage out later, along with your vomit-stained clothes! 3!"

Roy pretended to rush towards Ryan, and Ryan was so scared that he turned around and ran out of the manor.

Looking back, Roy saw Heather still crying.

"It's okay, Heather. I already got him out of here."

Heather hugged Roy and rested her head on his shoulder. The tall airbag pressed against Roy and the touch was wonderful.

"I didn't expect him to be this kind of person!"

"At least you can see him clearly now, right?"

Roy patted Heather's back to comfort her and felt Heather's figure at the same time.

Heather is quite tall, probably the second tallest girl Roy knows.

The tallest one must be Teacher Elizabeth. This mysterious woman must be over 1.8 meters tall when wearing high heels, only slightly shorter than Roy, with the body proportions of a supermodel.

The second is Heather, who is about 1.75 meters tall now when she wears flat shoes.

Next was Jennifer. Roy was sure that Jennifer's height was definitely less than 1.7 meters, but it shouldn't be much different, maybe just a few centimeters.

The shortest one is Needy. Needy is about 1.6 meters tall. This height is just right in the East, but it seems a bit short in America.

After crying for a while, Heather calmed down, but she did not let go of Roy and was still immersed in Roy's broad chest.

Until Heather's companions Nikki and Kenny found the cemetery.

"Heather, it's getting late. Shouldn't we go buy some food? I'm afraid the supermarket in town will close if we're any later."

Hearing her companion's voice, Heather quickly left Roy's arms, tidied her clothes and hair, and pretended nothing had happened.

"What are you doing? Where's Ryan?"

"I drove Ryan away."

Nikki's face was full of surprise.

"Ah? Why?"

Heather obviously didn't want to talk about Ryan anymore and quickly changed the subject.

"Anyway, he's not my friend anymore! Roy, do you know of any supermarkets nearby? I'm afraid we need to buy some more food."

"Of course, I can take you there."

At this time, the blond man, who had been silent the whole time, spoke up. "I'm not going. I'm feeling a bit upset. I'll stay here and help you look after the house."

Roy guessed that the thief was preparing to act.

Heather also showed some concern for the blond man.

"Are you okay, Dale? Do you want me to bring you some medicine?"

"No need! Maybe lunch was a little dirty, maybe it's just diarrhea."

Heather nodded without giving it much thought.

Although this girl comes from a big city, she has a kind of innocence that comes from not having seen the world.

It's too easy to believe what others say, for example, Roy only took an hour or two to gain Heather's trust.

When Heather went out to buy ingredients, she took Roy's car and asked the other two companions to follow in a van.

"Heather, is that Dale also a good friend?"

"No, we met him on the road and he wanted a ride. What's the matter?"

Although I already knew this plot, it still felt a bit outrageous when I heard Heather say it herself.

You meet a stranger on the street and then you bring him home and let him look after your house. How big of a heart does that require?

Roy pretended to be hesitant to speak.

"Heather, I don't mean to say anything bad about him, but he seems weird to me."

"Strange? What's strange?"

"I heard from the town police that there's a thief roaming around Texas lately. This thief specializes in riding in other people's cars and stealing things from their homes. The thief the police described seems to be similar to Dale!"

Of course, Roy made this up to make Heather suspicious.

Heather was shocked.

"No way?"

"Why don't we turn around and go back to have a look? We haven't driven very far anyway."

Heather obviously didn't have much money, and the property in the manor was very important to her, so she thought it through quickly.

"Let's go back now!"

Kenny, who was following the car behind him, was very surprised to see Roy suddenly turn around.

"Hey, why did you turn around?"

"Sorry, I left something in the villa. Please wait here for a while, we will be back soon!"

Kenny cursed softly. This man dressed like a hippie must have a good relationship with Ryan, so he was a little unhappy to see Roy, the one who drove Ryan away.

Inside the villa, Dell has already started to act, and his first target is the silver tableware in the restaurant.

"Wuhu! Get rich!"

These silver cutlery items are very beautiful and appear to have a long history. Perhaps they can even be sold as antiques.

Some nouveau riche like to buy furniture with a bit of historical background to decorate their homes.

Soon, Dale packed up the tableware neatly.

Just as Dale was about to continue searching the villa to see if there were any other valuables, he suddenly heard Heather's voice.

"Dale, what are you doing!?"

Roy and Heather just returned to the villa and saw a messy dining table. Heather immediately realized that what Roy said was true.

"Damn it!"

Dale ran towards the back door with the dishes on his back, and Roy chased after him.

As a professional thief, Dale escaped very quickly and knew to pull down chairs and furniture to hinder Roy's pursuit.

However, Roy is an athlete with an agility of 16 points. How could Dell possibly outrun him with the things on his back?

Especially since there is a flat ground after leaving the house, it is even more difficult to run.

In desperation, Dell had to drop his backpack and go into the woods.
