Mystery: When the Fool Meets the Masked Fool

Chapter 227: Reopening the Simulated Universe

Chapter 227: Reopening the Simulated Universe
The surrounding walls are hung with paintings with distorted images and chaotic colors, and the air is filled with the sweet scent of candy.

A dignified middle-aged man with a small mustache sat cross-legged on an off-white cushion, his eyes meeting those of the half-human, half-snake woman in front of him.

Every Tuesday night is probably the time of the week that Russell looks forward to the most.

Normally, he needs to fight against the pollution of the Fallen Mother Goddess. Even if the meme of the sleeping banana monkey is implanted in his brain, he still needs to fight against the pollution of the Fallen Mother Goddess with all his strength.

Occasionally, he would stay awake and go out for a walk using the body of a sleeping monkey. There were only so many things a monkey could do.

And on Tuesday nights, He could briefly break away from influence, enter the dream world, and come to a world that even the Fallen Mother Goddess could hardly influence.

He didn't know how Serris did it, but He didn't care.

The woman in front of him was very beautiful...if you ignored the colorful scales, protruding blood vessels, ferocious vertical pupils and forked tongue on her face.

This look... maybe Serris would like it, but I still prefer something more human-like, Russell thought silently.

Thinking of this, Russell's eyes swept across the snake girl's curvy upper body, looking at her lower body below the waist which was all snake tails.

Sure enough, I'm still not interested.

"Surrender, uncle. Not to mention in the shopping street, even in the entire Benzai Kingdom, there are only a handful of people who can defeat me in the competition." The snake woman leaned forward, hissing threateningly, and her forked tongue almost touched Russell's eyes.

"I'm obviously very young, okay?" Russell laughed without blinking. He raised his hand and flicked his finger on the forked tongue, deflecting it. "I'm what's called an uncle-like handsome boy. I'm the type that would make girls scream even if I walked down the street."

"Is it because you saw a cockroach?" The snake woman also didn't blink, retracted her forward leaning body and continued to talk trash.

"No, it's because I saw the walking banknotes." Russell said proudly, "In my country, I am the man printed on the banknotes."

"Is this true?" The snake woman looked unconvinced.

This was the 99th No Blinking Contest of this store. Russell passed by and thought it was interesting, so he decided to try the challenge.

The snake woman in front of him was the manager of this store and also the organizer of this competition.

The battle had reached a fever pitch, with even the dog-headed police officer maintaining order nervously devouring his dog food. The werewolf boy, a member of the biker tribe, who was handcuffed by the beast, couldn't help but sweat for the upcoming match.

It's hard to imagine that the two men have been in a stalemate for several hours.

This shop has a strange facility where any supernatural abilities cannot be used, including Russell's extraordinary abilities.

Even if you really encounter someone who cannot be restrained, this unique facility will sound an alarm or even explode on the spot, making a lot of noise, so there is no possibility of cheating silently.

Of course, omnics and non-original eye holders are not allowed to participate in the competition.

But this is simply discrimination. Even if Rupert comes, he will not be able to help but start the Third Omnic War.

Why shouldn't omnics be allowed to participate in the no-blinking competition!

Is it because we don’t have eyes?
But unfortunately, Rupert is not here, so there is no protesting omnic.

what a pity.

As the game continued, the snake-woman store manager was clearly beginning to lose her strength. She felt as if her eyeballs were overlapping with the desert of Miao Star, bidding farewell to all the water molecules.

Russell smiled, raised his right hand, and said, "Long live humanity."

The monsters around him booed.

Benzaiten is a world where humans and monsters coexist, without discrimination. Therefore, Russell's words did not cause any commotion.

The snake girl widened her eyes, trying to sting Russell's eyes with her gaze.

"If you don't have a device to block super-reality abilities, my eyes can turn you into a stone statue." In order to divert attention, the snake woman continued to speak harshly.

"Then I win, don't I?" Russell asked in confusion, unable to understand the snake woman's logic.

Snake was stunned.

Yes, this is a no-blinking contest. If he's turned into a stone statue, he'll win, right?

The snake woman successfully diverted her attention temporarily.

But soon, her eyes bulged in the air like fine ornamental goldfish, almost popping out of her eye sockets, and fell to the table below like a meteorite.

"Come on, come on." Russell clapped his hands in encouragement.

Even without using any extraordinary abilities, how could a mere snake compare to her willpower to resist the Fallen Mother Goddess for hundreds of years? This Russell could definitely win the championship, easily!

As time passed, the snake woman finally couldn't hold on any longer.

"Huh, I give up." She closed her eyes in pain, feeling like her eyeballs were about to fall out.

In an instant, all humans and monsters were cheering for Russell's victory. Russell also raised his hands proudly, and his mustache shook unconsciously a few times.

He did not comfort the snake girl. The strong will always humiliate the weak.

As today's champion, He got the first chance to taste the candy store's limited edition products.

He is simply the Light of humanity.

He is truly amazing.

A few minutes later, Russell left the store with a large bag of free candy and walked onto the commercial street outside.

This is a city where the sense of antiquity and the future are interwoven.

There are advanced spaceships, floating translucent display screens, and mechanized high-rise buildings. There are also pavilions and bamboo houses full of ancient style, and a little monster girl holding an oil-paper umbrella.

Russell ate as he walked, and soon he locked onto a casino on the side of the road as if his eyes were automatically aiming.

Without thinking, He turned around and walked in.

"Brother, do you have any projects that don't require money?" Russell went straight to the bar and found the front desk. "Or you can pay off your debt with candy."

As He spoke, He raised the bag in His hand.

The receptionist glanced at Russell twice.

"Roulette?" he asked.

Russell's eyes lit up: "Okay, this is fine."

The receptionist smiled and replied, "Sir, this is a legal venue and we don't engage in illegal activities."

Russell threw a candy into his mouth: "Is this stuff of yours legal?"

"We're opening our store on the roadside. Tell me if it's legal or not." The receptionist gestured to the counter.

Russell turned his head to glance at the gate and asked, "So there's no such thing as free money?"

His intuition told him that the answer was yes.

Sure enough, it was just as He expected.

“Yes,” the receptionist replied, “Similar, but not as dangerous.”

Russell patted the counter cheerfully, "Then bring it up quickly. I can't wait any longer."

The receptionist pointed him to a room, and Russell followed the direction of the finger and saw a door with an eye painted on it.

"Thanks, brother." Russell placed the candy on the bar. "These are for you."

He put down the candy, turned around and walked towards the door.

The receptionist didn't pay any attention and just put the candies away.

Rossell strode to the door and pushed it open carelessly, then he saw the scene inside the room.

The room seemed to be waiting for him. There was only one dealer inside, no gamblers, and no need to queue.

Russell whistled and sat down directly at the card table.

"Come on, come on, let's talk about the rules." Russell sat down with his body tilted, leaning on the left armrest and backrest of the seat.

The one-eyed dealer who looks like an octopus stands behind the card table, his metal prosthetic legs intertwined with the table legs, his body standing in the center of the table hole, and the red marbles circling around his waist.

The dealer rolled his huge eyeballs, looked at Russell and bowed gentlemanly.
