Chapter 51: Being beaten (13)

Klein walked out of the portal and arrived at an empty circular area. It looked about the size of a football field, surrounded by high walls. The ground was made of rock, and from time to time, flames would emerge from the cracks in the rocks. He wondered what lay beneath. However, the ground didn't seem very hot, at least not hot enough to burn his feet.

In the center of the arena was the small monster that I had seen before entering, which looked like a small online game soldier. Klein was not far away from it.

After leaving the portal, it disappeared immediately.

Seeing the Marauder Xuzu standing motionless, Klein began folding paper figures right in front of him. He had plenty of napkins, so he folded ten figures and used the remaining paper as weapons.

It was my first time making origami figures, and even with the bonus of my Beyonder ability, it still turned out a mess. But it didn't affect the effect, so it was fine as long as it worked.

Then he raised the revolver in his hand and aimed at the pawn in front of him. Although he didn't know what it was called, it didn't matter.

Klein pulled the trigger. At the same time, Xu Zu raised his left hand, and the light blade in his left hand was placed right in the path of the bullet.

"Bang." A gunshot rang out.

The bullet was split by the sword with ease, its unhurried gesture as if the bullet had hit the blade on its own initiative. Of course, this was indeed the case.

It took a stance, with the blades in both hands, one across its chest and the other extended to its side and rear.

Klein's spiritual power suddenly stirred, and he performed a move that he would never have been able to do before.

He leaned his body back and used the arch bridge posture to avoid the blade that appeared in front of him.

Flash? No, it was simply a matter of speed. The spot where Xu Zu had just stood was empty, replaced by a rocky ground riddled with spiderweb-like cracks.

Klein dodged the sweep of the Xuzu's right hand, but it didn't stop even though it missed. It then stabbed out with its left hand, which had been placed at the side and back, and pierced the knee of Klein's right leg, which he had hastily raised to block.

"Crack." The sound of shattering glass echoed, and the shields that clung to Klein's knees were instantly covered in cracks. Using this thrust, Klein pushed forward with his left foot and squeezed the trigger again. He was sent flying backward, flying five or six meters.

The bullet didn't seem to offer much of a stopping power. Before Klein even touched the ground, a cross-shaped slash struck him. With a ripping sound, Klein was transformed into a hideously ugly paper figure.

The paper figurine was torn to pieces. Klein steadied himself a dozen meters away. He raised both hands, pulled the trigger, and gestured with his left hand as he made a pistol gesture, muttering, "Bang."

Two gunshots rang out almost simultaneously. The air bullet struck the Xuzu's right hand, which was used for blocking. A huge explosion, accompanied by a series of crackling sounds like firecrackers, knocked the Xuzu back several steps. The revolver bullet hit the Xuzu's chest, causing a shower of sparks.

The next second, the virtual soldier suddenly froze in place, and Klein immediately retreated quickly to create distance.

"So, the additional attack triggered multiple additional attacks, and then the series of additional attacks was judged as continuous damage, causing it to be frozen?" Klein quickly analyzed the situation in his mind. "So this works?"

The ice shattered, and the Void Soldier broke through the ice and headed straight for Klein.

Perhaps it was ice stuck in his joints, or perhaps the wiring was frozen. The Xuzu's speed slowed down slightly, but even so, Klein still had trouble keeping up.

A few flashes of fire flashed, and Klein leaped out of the Xu Zu's attack range with a flaming leap, reaching the edge of the field. His speed and attack penetration increased every ten seconds. He planned to play with the enemy, stalling for 120 seconds until his buffs were fully applied before confronting them head-on.

Facing Klein who was running away, Xu Zu raised his hand from a distance.

Waving goodbye doesn’t mean goodbye, but you still have to practice in prison.

A beam of light shot out from his palm, and half of Klein's body, who had just jumped out of the flames, instantly vaporized, and the whole person turned into a paper man again.

PS: There will be more later. I will come back to update after I finish the exam at noon.
