The immortal is beside me

Chapter 69 Remarks on the launch

Chapter 69 Remarks on the launch
It’s finally on the shelves!
I spent 7 months preparing for this book before it was published. It was the longest preparation and the most complete outline I have ever had in my history of writing a book.

The performance of the new book really surprised me. It received the homepage recommendation and Sanjiang ranking, which I had never dared to imagine before, and it also made it into the top five of the new book list. I would like to thank all the readers here.

First of all, I would like to say that there will be a normal update today. It is the chapter before the release of the chapter. Please be careful not to miss it.

Then let’s talk about what everyone is concerned about, the updates after the product is put on the shelves.

The chapter will be released on time at 2:1 am on February 0st. There will be four updates on the day of release, and two updates at least afterwards. I will try to add one or two more updates every day before I go to work. After work... it depends on how much my boss exploits me.

As for the additional rules
In terms of first orders, the number of collections of this book is now 2.96, which is close to 3000. Taking 100 first orders as the base, one update will be added for every additional orders.

Hey, Mr. Qiuqiu, please place your first order. I can do anything! ! Considering that I'm still staying up late to write on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! !

In terms of rewards, because of the problem with my rule setting for the previous book, the big players rewarded me with 80 additional chapters, which was really a bit overwhelming for me, so for this book, I will give 5 Qidian coins as a reward for one additional chapter.

As for the monthly votes, I haven't made it to the top of the charts yet, but seeing how good the data is for this book, maybe I can make it? So, I'll tentatively set the number at 500 votes and add another chapter.

Today is the last day of January. If you have any extra tickets, please give me some so I can reach the 1-ticket level. Thank you!

It’s not that I think the chapters I update are worth so much money, it’s that my ability is limited, and I really can only write this much (kneel down)
Okay, that’s all the real stuff, and what follows is some random chatter about this book.

The inspiration for this book came from a joke about Journey to the West that I saw online.

Sun Wukong was suppressed under the mountain for 500 years. When he came out of the mountain, Li Shimin was in power. That means he was suppressed during the Han Dynasty and continued to be suppressed until the Tang Dynasty.

My mind immediately resonated with the all-too-common lifespan settings in xianxia novels. In some books, incarnations of the gods can live 5000 years or even longer. In real life, that's the equivalent of living from before the Xia Dynasty all the way to the present day.

It is indeed a bit outrageous that people from the Xia Dynasty lived in the city, but if we look more closely, what if people from the Tang, Song, and Ming dynasties lived to the modern day?
Once this switch is turned on, all kinds of associations will continue, and the worldview of this book will take shape.

Plus, I happened to be watching "The Burial of Frillian" at the time, and I felt that the story of this immortal species returning to the human world as the protagonist, recalling experiences from many years ago, and by the way, seeing what impact his actions many years ago left on the world was really interesting.

So I hit my head and thought, the immortal species in Dragon Quest are mostly elven magicians, so what are the immortal species in our country? Immortal cultivators!

Then there was Zhou Qing and "The Immortal is by My Side".

I had a lot of fun writing this book. Compared to fictional other worlds, there are so many things in China that I can draw inspiration from.

Just like those brain holes on the Internet.

If Liu Bang were alive today, he would see Han written as the ethnicity line on his ID card.

If Guan Yu were alive today, he would find his statues placed in various temples as the God of War.

If Du Fu were alive today, he would find his poems everywhere when he opened the textbooks.

There are so many similar examples. So, if there really were a group of immortal beings, with enough strength to leave their names in history, and at the same time, a lifespan long enough to witness history, long enough to see the butterfly effect they trigger a thousand years later, what would they think and do?

That's what I wanted to write about in this book, and it's really interesting, at least to me.

When I published my new book, I saw some friends’ comments saying that I was making up unofficial history. In fact, I prefer to call what I wrote “constructed history”. People who like it think it is fabricated, and people who don’t like it think it is history. We are all historians, after all.

As a rehabilitation work after I haven't written a book for three years, I was actually very unconfident before starting this one. I prepared from May until December before I dared to start writing the book. Most of my time was spent on finding information and organizing the outline.

Because the time span of this book is so huge and every dynasty is touched upon, I may not have finished reading all the Twenty-Four Histories in the past six months, but I have covered more than half of them, which is really overwhelming.

During the writing process, there are often unexpected things that require me to check while writing. For example, when writing a paragraph about the Jiuli-Southern and Northern Dynasties War, I have to look up the Book of Wei to see where the Northern Wei had fought at that point in time, and then compare the map to simulate the Jiuli's attack route. Similar details are everywhere, which really made me understand what it means to be in pain and happy.

According to my friends' feedback, my mental state has been very good in the past six months. Every time I get stuck on writing, I just post in the author group, "Zizhi Tongjian, start!" "Old Book of Tang, start!" "The power of Book of Song, help me!" The reason I haven't been kicked out of the group until now is thanks to the tolerance of the big guys.

Of course, fragmentary information alone is far from enough; a book relies on its story. While developing the outline, many people gave me inspiration, and I would like to thank them here.

First and foremost, I want to thank my operations officer, @Exile's Heart. From the moment the idea for this book came up, he's been involved in its design, regularly sharing historical videos with me and acting as my poison taster. He's always the first to read a new chapter, encouraging me by saying, "Wow, I'm having a blast!" It's been incredibly inspiring.

My mentality is actually not very good. The data during the new book period went up and down, and my blood pressure also went up and down. It was common for me to suffer from insomnia and loss of appetite due to anxiety. Many times when I was at the peak of anxiety, it was thanks to his comfort and encouragement that I got through it. He is truly the uncrowned hero of this book.

Secondly, I would like to thank my editor Ziliang.

When I was in my lowest point, I had no idea what to do for two years. Ziliang picked me up and taught me step by step as if I had no basic knowledge. He taught me everything he knew about frameworks, exciting points, and topic selection. He also followed up on the progress and provided guidance during the new book period. I would like to call him a great teacher of online literature.

If you have friends who want to write a book now or in the future, you are welcome to come to the White Rose Studio under Ziliang. Everyone in the group is talented and speaks well. I like it here very much.

Then I would like to thank several author friends who gave me great help during the new book period. They are all authors from Qidian. Each of them has written a book with more than 10,000 orders. I strongly recommend everyone to take a look.

@落雪煮茶, works include "Lu Mingfei Doesn't Want to Be a Superhero" and "I Should Have Slayed a Dragon, but Accidentally Started Cultivating Immortality".

Xue Shen, a genius boy! I was amazed by his writing style the first time I read his book. Later I found that he was not only a good writer, but also had a very quick mind. He could come up with several brilliant ideas just by surfing the Internet. His overflowing talent made me jealous to the point of twisting my face.

This book took over six months to prepare, and Xue Shen has always been a superb plot connoisseur. Many of my initial ideas for smaller plots were very Shi-like, and almost every time I sensed a hint of Shi-like tendencies, I would consult him, revising the history into what you see today. He is truly a miraculous doctor, and he deserves ten platinum awards.

If you are a fan of Dragon Clan, you must not miss Xue Shen's book. It doesn't matter if you don't read Dragon Clan. It is said that he plans to open an original folklore book in March. Friends who like this genre must not miss it.

@猪心虾仁, works "Tao and Heaven Are Equal" and "The Immortal Just Wants to Lie Down"

Daren, the second genius boy! He earned over 18 yuan a month by writing online novels at the age of 22, and a million yuan a year at the age of . Reading his books often makes me sigh like Yu Hua: Damn, how can he write so awesomely?

Although I am considered a veteran in the urban cultivation genre, I had little experience with the invincible flow before writing this new book, and my relevant experience was basically zero.

During the early stages of writing the book, Brother Daren had several long phone calls with me, discussing writing methods, character creation, and outline ideas, sometimes for two or three hours, which laid the initial tone for the book. He also helped polish and revise the first few chapters of the book. I can only express my gratitude to him with a word: "Awesome."

A few days ago, he said that after reading my book, he also wanted to try writing this kind of historical cultivation story with the theme of immortality. Anyway, I am quite looking forward to it. When he finishes writing my chapter, I will push it to everyone to see.

@白特慢啊, works include "I, who worked so hard, ended up being a demon god" and "I worked so hard to become a Taoist master of all laws"

The Sugar God, a man among men, an author among authors, and the pinnacle of immortal theoretical guidance. He is the only designated master in the circle of friends, sharing his writing experience and experience of sweeping the charts every day. Every author in the group is a descendant of the Sugar Gate.

I sent him the beginning of the story for his review, and he wrote nearly a thousand words of feedback to help me polish the plot and character design. The details were terrifying. He gave me similar feedback several times, and each of them could be a whole chapter.

Because I haven't written a book for three years, Qidian has changed a lot, which made me unable to keep up with the latest versions for a while. I couldn't understand the recommendations and exposures. It was Tangshen who told me step by step how to prepare during this period.

I would like to thank Master Tang for his guidance. He is currently serializing the Demon God book, which is a super fast-paced urban ancient martial arts upgrade flow, and I highly recommend it.

Finally, of course, I would like to thank all the readers the most. It is your support that has enabled this book to make great progress. I would like to ask every friend who has read, subscribed, and commented to accept my most sincere gratitude.

In my design, this book is actually quite slow to start. The 20 words in the new book period were all spent on creating the world view and presenting the historical context. Many plots were written in a relatively restrained manner, and some character creation was inevitably sacrificed. I have always been aware of this.

But as I said in the previous chapter, please don't be anxious. The early preparations will soon be over. From the world view to the characters, we have just started now. Everything will be fully expanded later. My 10,000-word outline and 3,000-word character biographies are not for nothing.

Finally, on to the py list!
