Warhammer: Black Emperor

Chapter 261 A Casual Throw of the Spear of the God of Wine

Chapter 261 A Casual Throw of the Spear of Dionysus (Third Update, Seeking Votes for Tomorrow)
On the twenty-third day after Nimrod arrived in Terra, he received a message from Fernus Manus that the armor for him had been completed.

Nimrod then went to the courtyard where Manus lived to receive his armor.

Upon entering the courtyard, he discovered that Manus had transformed the entire courtyard into a small forge.

Manus stood before a massive furnace, surrounded by several attendants, one of whom was a technical priest dressed in a rust-red robe.

As soon as Ninglu stepped into the courtyard, Manus turned his head and looked over.

The Tech Priest then turned to look at him, and after identifying Nimrod's genetic prototype, the sound array device on his mask emitted a mechanical, synthesized sound.

"This unit//Technical Priest//Malevolus//pays homage to the Primarch//King of Voskovia//Lord Nimrod."

Nimrod nodded to Father Malevolus: "Malevolus, your forging skills are truly admirable."

"To forge armor for you is the honor of our unit."

As soon as the Tech Priest's synthesized voice finished, Manus spoke in a leaden voice.

“Malevolus is the empire’s finest craftsman. He was involved in making both my armor and yours.”

His silver-coin-like eyes were deep: "The son of the First, the one who forged Horus's armor."

Nimrod saw Manus put on a new set of armor, and he could already see the shadow of the future Gorgon armor in this armor.

A towering neck guard rises behind the head, decorated with rivets along its silver edges.

His shoulder armor bore the insignia of gauntlets, crafted from a single piece of hand-hammered alloy, while a thick iron curtain cloak hung from the other shoulder.

The back of the armor is a combination of various tools, but it does not yet carry any of the invented weapons.

"Lord Manus's skills are truly admirable. // This unit has gained a great deal. // This unit has received inspiration from the God of Machines. // This unit will bring these skills back to Mars. // We believe that new armor will be born soon."

Nimrod knew that the Empire's Iron Cavalry-type Terminator Armor was based on Manus's armor, a model developed by Malevolus after he brought the prototype data back to Mars.

Nimrod then donned his armor with the help of the technical priest.

His armor was entirely black, and the biggest difference between it and Manus's armor was that it was covered with iron-scaled Kraken scales and had a faint, shadowy emblem on his chest.

Every surface of the armor was hand-forged, demonstrating exquisite craftsmanship.

Malevolus participated in its creation, but Ferrus Manus's innate talent for metallurgy was brought to its fullest potential in every part of the armor and every curve.

Another notable difference is that space was reserved on the back of the armor for golden wings.

Ninglu tried it out, and the wings extended and retracted freely.

Manus also made provisions for the position of Dionysus' spear on the armor, as requested by Nimrod.

Because the wings take up a lot of space, Nimrod's armor cannot accommodate a large number of tools and weapons on the back like Manus's.

The Spear of Dionysus is mounted near the golden wings on the right side, protruding from Ninglu's right shoulder.

After Ninglu placed the Spear of Dionysus inside, the lingering discomfort disappeared, and he felt much more comfortable.

As Ning Lu stepped into the courtyard, he was suddenly struck by layers upon layers of illusory sounds.

[It must have been Tierney who held the ceremony and presented me with the items.]
Ning Lu reached his right hand behind him, his gaze fixed on the distance, spanning over ten kilometers.

That was an open space with a defined area, but construction had not yet begun. He gripped the Spear of Dionysus and casually tossed it aside.

The Spear of Dionysus whistled through the air, tracing an arc before crashing to the ground.

With a loud bang, a crack several meters wide appeared in the ground, and the spear fell into the ground.

"Perfect!" Ninglu muttered, ignoring the Dionysian Spear, knowing it would return on its own anyway.

After escaping the spear of Dionysus, Ninglu entered the villa and went to his room.

He flashed into the shadowy side of the "Land of Chaos," where he saw an illusory gray sphere of light constantly contracting and expanding.

Ninglu unleashed his spirituality, spreading it towards the gray sphere of light.

Upon first contact, blurry and distorted images immediately appeared in his mind, and illusory and overlapping sounds rang out.

"The Black Emperor of the Shadow of Order"
……

I pray for Your watchful gaze.

I pray that You will accept my offering.

"The Iron Laws of the King, the foundation of a disordered kingdom, please transfer your power to my incantation."

Nimrod saw the items placed on the altar; they looked somewhat illusory and blurry.

He knew his spirituality was insufficient to bring so many items to the "Land of Chaos".

Ning Lu flashed to the fourth level of space, where he condensed a black phantom and returned to the shadow side to establish a connection with the gray orb of light.

Upon returning to the fourth level of space, Nimrod's spirituality spread toward the location corresponding to Tierney.

His spirituality coalesced into a black door.

Tierney, kneeling on the altar, saw a large black door suddenly appear before him.

Bang!

Amidst the seemingly real yet surreal, unreal sounds, the door slowly opened!
Tierney suddenly saw the black gate open, behind which lay deep darkness, and the Black Emperor, perched high in the black mist, looking down upon him.

Upon seeing this, Tierney's body trembled involuntarily, a sign of awe at the immense power.

Before Tierney could react, a huge suction force suddenly surged from inside the door.

On the altar, one item after another was seized by an invisible force and flew into the black gate.

He dared not look up until he heard the Black Emperor's majestic voice: "Well done."

Before Tierney could react, items flew out and landed on the altar.

"Make good use of them."

“Praise be to my Lord, thank you for your gift!” Tierney said devoutly as he saw the black gate disappear and the spiritual whirlwind subside.

Nimrod examined all the offerings Tierney had made and discovered that, in addition to the altar, there was also a data tablet.

He opened the data panel and found that it contained information about some of the items.

[Tierney is very thoughtful.]
Nimrod discovered that the most radiant spiritual light shone on the clocks of the Kogmar family, which Tierney had highlighted.

[It should be a Sequence 5 potion material.]

Hmm, time should be the potion ingredient for Sequence 5, "The Dream Thief," of the "wrong" path.
Ninglu also discovered that the most numerous item was the main material for the "Secret Seeker" Sequence 8 "Fighting Scholar"—the Crimson Walker's prosthetic eye.

Ninglu knew that the Crimson Walkers were a cabal composed of psionicists, genetic scientists, and warlords.

They served as advisors to the vizier to the last tyrant of the "Age of Strife," creating war machines and genetically damaged bio-monsters for their master.

There are 109 crimson prosthetic eyes in total, and according to the information on the data board, they all come from the same family.

The family's idea was probably that if they didn't have high-quality rare items, they would make up for it with quantity.

Little did they expect that Tierney was a "fraudster."
The next day, when Ninglu woke up, he unsurprisingly saw the Spear of Dionysus on the marble floor of his bedroom.

Old Huang's craftsmanship is indeed excellent; his Dionysian Spear is even more magical than the Chanting Spear used by the Eldar Prophet and the War Witch.

After the attack, the Spear of Song returns to their hands, connected by psychic energy.

But the Spear of Dionysus—I didn't even feel what force caused it to return to me. It's truly amazing!
He went down to the first floor of the villa and listened to the report from the Primarch's attendants.

"My lord, Lewis von Valancius reports that while sailing south from Vosconia toward the Milky Way star map, he encountered an alien fleet in a neighboring star system."

"Based on their report, the alien warships are equipped with cannons on the lower sides of their sides, which I believe makes them the fleet of the Vlao people."

"Lewis reports that aliens have occupied two planets in the system, and he requests your fleet support."

Ning Lu nodded slightly: "Reply to him that I will personally lead the fleet, together with the warships of the Tenth Legion, to provide support."

"Issue the order to dispatch the Eleventh Battle Group to the star system occupied by the Flao people."

"You relay the message to Manus, instructing the Tenth Legion to proceed to the star system inhabited by the Flaoians."

Nimrod summoned Thomas again, and after questioning and observing his aura, confirmed that he had digested the "Secret Seeker" potion, and then promoted him to Sequence 8 "Fighting Scholar".

Five days later, Nimrod and Manus, having finished their many affairs, boarded the Shadow of the Throne, and the fleet set sail.
