Chapter 269 The Whispering Spear of Nicules

Chapter 269 The Whispering Spear of Nicules
Upon entering the Vladian fortress, they were attacked not by Vladians, but by a new type of alien creature.

A slender, humanoid creature with long, spiky scales extending upwards from its scalp.

Their eyes were white slits, they had almost no noses, their jaws protruded forward, and two thin fangs hooked from their underbites and hung on their upper lips.

They were all hunchbacked, swaying as they raised their guns and attacked the shadow of order.

When Nimrod saw the aliens, he immediately recognized their race—the Nicules.

[Nikuli, the Whispering Spear.]
Ninglu's eyes flashed, and sure enough, he noticed that among the Nikuli who were holding automatic guns, a few elites were holding a strange weapon.

Its front end resembles two chainsaw swords joined together, covered with dense serrations, while the rear half is a grooved barrel.

Its highly complex system of valves, reeds, and resonant cavities is reminiscent of music.

[Indeed, it was the Whispering Spear.]
Whispering Spear is the main material for Sequence 9 "Warrior" and Sequence 8 "Fighter", and Sequence 7 "Weapon Master". Another main material is Visken's Arm.

Nimrod knew that the Viskens and Nicules were both excellent bounty hunter and mercenary races in the galaxy.

The auxiliary materials for "Weapon Masters" are also related to Visken; they are their knives.

Nimrod shouted to the Honor Guard members, "It's Nicules. Watch out for the strange weapons they're carrying."

"Use your Lyman's Ears to filter out the strange sounds."

As soon as Nimrod finished speaking, Nikuli pointed the Whispering Spear in his direction.

The Whispering Spear activated, emitting a piercing roar, and the Nicules began to tremble under its influence.

The Nicules' unique physical structure allows them to resonate with the Whispering Spear.

Nicules' mercenary aimed his Whispering Spear at the Honor Guard member, the sound waves carrying the bullets shot out.

The sound waves were neither loud nor harsh, but rather gentle and soft, like a whisper in one's ear.

One of the honor guard members reacted a moment too slow and failed to follow the Father of Genetics' orders to filter out the abnormal sound waves.

The whispers drifted into his ears, and he suddenly felt dizzy, his body swaying.

The bullet struck his power armor, leaving a dent.

The other Honor Guard members quickly activated Lyman's Ear to filter out the whispering sound waves, and they used bomb guns to attack the aliens.

The roar of exploding bombs and the whispers echoed across the battlefield, creating a striking contradiction.

The dizzy honor guard members stood frozen in place, as if hypnotized.

The Nicules mercenaries were surprised to find that their weapons could not harm the black-armored warriors, so they turned their fire on the stunned enemy.

Ninglu's ears twitched, shutting out the whisper.

With a flap of his golden wings, he flew to his offspring's side, sheltering him within them.

The bullets struck the golden wings and were immediately deflected.

Ninglu reached out with his left hand, grabbed his offspring's shoulder, and tossed him backward.

Nicules' mercenaries charged at the Honor Guard members, and an elite mercenary wielding a Whispering Spear thrust at the black-armored warrior in front of him.

His attack was so swift that even the Shadow of Order couldn't dodge it in time.

The serrated blades whirred as they pierced the power armor.

The moment the serrated edge pierced Astartes' body, a whisper echoed in his mind.

The arm raised by the shadow of order froze, its eyes vacant, as it fell into a coma.

The roaring saw teeth cut through his body, but he did not react at all, and was sawed in two by the Whispering Spear.

Nimrod flapped his wings and appeared above the Nicules mercenary who had killed his offspring, his body falling to the ground. The Nicules mercenary was instantly crushed into a pile of mud, leaving only Nimrod's deliberately preserved arm and the Whispering Spear on the ground.

Nimrod took flight again, swooping down repeatedly, using the Vaal Sword to kill one Nikuli mercenary after another wielding the Whispering Spear.

In the heart of the fortress stood a palace, and on a high platform within it, General Flao witnessed the complete breach of the Nicules mercenary line he had hired at great expense.

He said to the other mercenary leader standing beside him, “Milosh, Nicules is no match for you. Now is the time for Visken to prove himself as the most elite mercenary in the galaxy.”

Milos grinned menacingly and said confidently, "Visken is the galaxy's top mercenary. We will kill all the black-armored warriors who have breached the city walls."

"Night has fallen, and the time has come for Viscon."

After speaking, he strode towards the door. Before leaving, he turned back to General Vlao and issued a warning.

"After the war, I expect to receive payment; please be prepared."

He drew his sword and twirled it: "Flao glass blade, crystal, and other rewards."

“Of course, I keep my promise,” General Vlao replied, his eyes turning cold as he watched the leader of the Visken mercenaries disappear from sight.

"That despicable mercenary dares to threaten me."

"If I had enough soldiers under my command, you damned cold-blooded animals wouldn't even be worthy of serving me."

At the same moment he spoke, Per Koscielny of the Eleventh Squadron was leading his Fifth Company in an attack on the aliens at the planet's second largest fortress.

The aliens he encountered had green bodies like the orcs, but they were much thinner, though their mouths were somewhat similar in fangs.

The aliens did not use any ranged weapons; they used wooden blades with four spear-shaped tips and bizarre large blades with sharp fangs at the end.

When encountering the aliens, Per noticed that they were using strange knife-like weapons, leading him to conclude that they possessed considerable close-combat skills.

However, once the battle began, Per discovered that the aliens were much weaker than he had expected.

They were listless and slow-moving, posing no threat to the shadow of order.

What Per felt threatened by them was only their extraordinary regenerative abilities and their capacity to spew acid.

However, as the light began to dim, the alien suddenly underwent a dramatic change.

Their lazy demeanor suddenly turned into swift movements.

Per launched a swift slash at the alien using the seventh technique of the "Osberh-Vaya" method.

The alien's drowsy eyes suddenly widened. He raised his arm and held up his sword, the two spearheads blocking the charged blade.

At the same time, he opened his mouth and spat acid at Per.

Per was startled. He cautiously withdrew and retreated, looking for another opportunity to attack.

The Viscon people absorb energy from the sunlight during the day and complete their metabolism.

As night falls, they become exceptionally strong and swift.

Two Visken mercenaries swiftly charged toward the shadow of order.

The Visken mercenary on the left swung his knife to block the power sword of the Shadow of Order, then suddenly opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of acid.

Acid sprayed onto the armor of the Shadow of Order, crackling and popping, the power armor dissolving at a visible speed.

The Visken mercenary on the right, who had deliberately lagged behind, now accelerated and charged out.

Three spear tips pierced the exposed body of the Order Shadow. The Visken mercenary grinned maliciously and drew his strange longsword.

The sudden surge in strength of the Visken mercenaries instantly resulted in the deaths of several people and serious injuries to more than a dozen others.
