Chapter 369 The Flourishing Development of Veredian

“What monster?” Nimrod looked at Sanchez.

“The indigenous people called them Gorgon basilisks.”

Ninglu nodded slightly, signaling Sanchez to give a briefing.

Upon hearing the name, he immediately recalled the Gorgon serpent monster that lived in the Kos Cave, a creature that was not completely eradicated even after the "Great Rift" unfolded.

"The sages of Incaladion, conducting a deep scan in Kos, discovered a rare earth rich deposit."

“The local indigenous people of Kos dared not enter the cave, and they kept saying in fear that there was a terrifying monster.”

“A technical priest led his servants and thirty-six warriors who had retired from the auxiliary army and moved to Koss into the cave, but they never came out again.”

Sanchez's eyes flashed, and he continued speaking with a surprised tone.

“Polti, who was stationed in Kos, led his team into the cave, where they encountered a serpentine monster. Two of them were petrified during the battle.”

"Besides possessing strange abilities, the basilisks are also quite powerful in combat, and their numbers are countless, which is why Polti reported this to me."

"Prepare to set sail. We're going to Kos to check out this basilisk." Ninglu gave the order, guessing that the Gorgon basilisk should be a potion ingredient.

In the third solar month of 845, the Shadow of Reign arrived in the Veredian system.

After Ninglu ordered the protective shield to be opened, the blue-white light of the star shone into the bridge without obstruction.

He then looked at the magnificent creation within the planet, the portal erected near a star.

Ancient technology captured the light of stars and converted it into energy to supply the vast energy required by the portal.

A fleet cruises throughout the galaxy, centered around a portal.

The Shadow of the King activates its thrusters and flies toward Coss.

Ninglu's gaze was first drawn to the asteroid orbiting the galaxy, where he saw five foundries standing atop the boulder.

Intragalactic transport ships from the mining world of Ramane travel back and forth in an orderly fashion, like ants.

Sanchez noticed the Black Emperor's gaze and, having anticipated this, immediately spoke up.

"Since my last report to you, Alamasta has added four foundries, one large and three small, which can meet one-eighth of the chapter's ordnance needs and support the development of planets such as Koss."

Ninglu nodded, a smile playing on his lips.

[Alamasta already resembles the future Veredian Foundry.]
Sanchez paused for a moment before continuing his report on the development of other planets.

"Ramane has established twelve large mining sites and twenty-three small mining sites."

"The power of Veredian is primarily intended to provide weapons for the auxiliary forces. The local laser gun model improved by the craftsmen produces a more dazzling beam, hence it is named Radiant Type I."

"Lavisol focuses more on manufacturing civilian machinery products, and it supplies a large number of engineering machinery such as termite tunneling machines to Lamane."

As Sanchez reported, the shadow of the monarchy crossed with Alamasta and flew into the orbit of Kos.

Nimrod then turned his gaze to Kos, which, from a distance, looked just like Terra.

Green continent, blue ocean, white clouds.

[Ol Persson's choice of Coss was not without reason!]

Koss shares a similar ecological environment with ancient Terra; such a planet is difficult to find in the present-day Milky Way.
Ninglu saw an orbital dock like a rising moon hanging in the sky above Koss.

This man-made island is a colossal creation with a diameter of 300 kilometers, surrounded by countless docks, mooring platforms, supports, suspended workshops, residences, and warehouses.

The workers were busy at their posts, the keel of a capital ship was being laid, and the construction of three escort ships was progressing at different times. "Five months ago, Coss's first orbital dock was completed," Sanchez said, noticing the Black Emperor's gaze.

"According to the plan, Kos will also build eight more shipyards in the future, and its shipbuilding capacity will exceed that of Vostonia."

"Within the Legion's territory, it should be second only to Sepra Mundi and Triken in the future, on par with Hurricane Star."

“Not bad,” Ninglu praised.

One sidereal hour later, Nimrod and Sanchez boarded the transport ship.

The black metal hull passed through the atmosphere and flew eastward.

Ninglu stood by the viewing window, looking down at the wisps of smoke rising below.

“That’s the Drakaren Lowlands, surrounded by five large mines, which I discovered when I first arrived in Kos.”

“Relying on the mines, the Dekaren Lowlands were developed into an industrial area.”

"As per your orders, a forest has been preserved between each factory for workers to rest and relax during shift changes."

Ninglu saw that the buildings were orderly, like spots of sunlight, interspersed with patches of forest.

The landing craft glided through the air and flew over a river.

"This river is called the Boros River, and the estuary area ahead is Nered, where the fusion reactor powers the entire surrounding area."

"The fusion reactor has made this valley one of the most fertile lands on the planet, and only those with the most outstanding combat achievements in the auxiliary military can obtain this land."

"They only need to do a little work to have a good harvest."

Ninglu looked into the distance and saw fusion reactors pumping water from the river, washing away the dirty carbon powder stuck to the turbine blades, leaving the river mouth covered with a thick layer of black silt.

He turned his gaze back to the farmland on both sides of the river, where dark green fields of sugar beets and cabbages were scattered like stars.

The surrounding area is dotted with lush gardens, and an irrigation system draws water from the Boros River to this dry plain, creating oases.

Palm trees sway in the wind, and the pond ripples in the sunlight.

The sprinkler system filled the air with water mist. Countless tiny rainbows appeared out of nowhere.

Ning Lu looked at the fertile alluvial plain and thought to himself.

[I remember that Pesson accumulated merits in the auxiliary army, and what he finally received was this land.]
As Ning Lu pondered, the transport ship flew over Neride.

The area at the river mouth is mostly occupied by industrial facilities, but there is still a market at the port.

Large and small transport ships were crowded together, drifting along the many docks and embankments.

The progenitor's superhuman vision allows him to see the fish leaping and frolicking and the crabs swaying in the ship's cabin.

“The port of Nareed connects to the ocean, and fishermen bring their fresh catch here to sell.”

[Yes, Pei Song often comes here to satisfy his cravings.]
Ninglu nodded in satisfaction. "I am satisfied with the progress of the construction in Koss."

Sanchez smiled at the Black Emperor's praise, "Ahead lies the city of Numinas, standing on the north bank of the Boros River, and across the river is the newly built Karas Fortress."

"The cave where the mine is located is beyond the city of Numinas, to its east."

As he spoke, the transport ship swept past the city of Numis and flew towards the endless, densely packed caves.
